Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 247: Chapter 213: Be My Woman, and I Will Protect You (Part 2)

She followed Yang Qingxiu off the Galaxy Airship. As she gazed all around, the world seemed to open up before her, and her eyes brightened in delight.

”Wow, it’s so beautiful here! Are those all peach blossoms on the mountain? It’s incredible! I can’t believe a place this beautiful exists within the Golden Sparrow Country. Huh, what’s that strange building?”

Feeling as though she’d entered a new world, Li Longyu was filled with curiosity. She pointed to Eggshell Castle and asked Yang Qingxiu.

Yang Qingxiu said, ”That’s Eggshell Castle. It’s still being renovated. I heard it’s going to be renamed Eco-Castle later on!”

”Eggshell Castle? Eco-Castle? Such strange names. And what are those iron men doing?”

”Oh, those are robot guards!”

”Robot guards? They can move?”

”Of course!”

”Wow, is that a peach tree too? How are the peaches so big?”

”Those are Four Seasons Peaches of Immortality...”

Yang Qingxiu’s brow furrowed. She felt like she was babysitting a curious toddler.

A moment later, Li Longyu arrived at the Toilet House, brimming with curiosity. She was riding a Rock Giant Scorpion and cradling a fresh Peach of Immortality the size of a soccer ball.

”There, Miss Li. That’s the Toilet House up ahead. You can bathe and change inside.”

”Oh, I see. Toilet House. How strange!”

Li Longyu’s eyes went wide. She set down the large Peach of Immortality and curiously looked the Toilet House over from every angle. After a good while, she still couldn’t figure out how to get inside.

With a sigh, Yang Qingxiu had no choice but to lead her inside and help her undress for her bath.

”Wow, warm water! How magical!”

”Ooh, this bubbly water smells so fragrant! It’s wonderful!”

”Wow, is this a Toilet? I’ve never seen one, not even in the Imperial Palace... not even at home.”

”It’s so magical!”

”Little Sister Qingxiu, can you help me find a change of clothes?”

”Little Sister Qingxiu, you’re the best!”

”Little Sister Qingxiu, where are we going next? Are we going to eat?”

When she left the Toilet House, Li Longyu had changed into a set of light-blue coarse-cloth clothes, with a simple strip of fabric tied in her hair.

The clothes belonged to Yang Qingxiu and were very clean.

Li Longyu was more than half a head taller than Yang Qingxiu, so the clothes were small and didn’t quite fit. She was dressed as an ordinary village girl, but her Natural Beauty made her shine like the bright moon in the night sky. Standing beside her, Yang Qingxiu even felt a little inadequate.

’Who on earth is this girl? How is she even more beautiful than Sister Yuan Yao and Sister Liu Qin...’

Yang Qingxiu wondered to herself as she led Li Longyu to the First Dining Hall.

There, Li Longyu ate two servings of Hai Shen stir-fried noodles and left with her arms full of snacks.

Yang Qingxiu paid for the snacks, but after learning that taking care of Li Longyu was a task assigned by the Lord, Yang Qinggu waived the bill.

After they left the First Dining Hall, a crowd of villagers began to follow Li Longyu and Yang Qingxiu. Watching Li Longyu from afar, they thought they were gazing upon a heavenly fairy.

And so, news that a great beauty had appeared in Eggshell Village spread like wildfire.

Li Longyu, for her part, paid no mind to the stares. With a constant smile on her face, she enjoyed herself freely, touring all around Eggshell Village.

A short while later, Wang Yi finished his business and found Li Longyu. ”Is Your Highness adjusting well?” he asked.

”Mhm!” Li Longyu nodded. ”This place of yours is very interesting. There are so many things I’ve never seen before! I’m very happy today!”

”It is my honor to be the cause of Your Highness’s happiness.”

Wang Yi, thinking he should grind some more favorability points, sent Yang Qingxiu away and personally took over showing Li Longyu around the territory.

Under his guidance, Li Longyu watched the fishing towers at the Huanghua Fishery haul in their catch. She even went up and touched two of the small yellow fish, laughing like a child.

She also visited the Octagonal Cage, where she watched a tense and exciting fighting competition, cheering and shouting along with the crowd. Then she went to the Super God Football field to watch the children kick the ball around and play...

In the afternoon, construction on the Eggshell Academy in the former Huangni Village was completed. Jelena, Li Huaizheng, and others held a ”ribbon-cutting” ceremony there, making for a very lively scene.

Wang Yi went too, of course, with Li Longyu in tow. Although she didn’t quite understand what was happening, she thoroughly enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

When the ribbon-cutting ceremony ended, Wang Yi gifted Li Longyu a Capsule Jade Jiaolong. They strolled through the Peach Blossom Forest, and he then took her to ride a Hardworking Turtle, drifting along the Jade River.

”Next, I’ll take you to a place where the sky is unlike any other. But I’ll need to ask you to endure a small inconvenience and be my ’exile’ for a day!”

Wang Yi then brought Li Longyu to the Exile Court. Once ”exiled,” she traveled with him to Yamero Star to watch a professional football match, and they even chased the Starlight River...

By the time they returned, the sky had already grown dark.

Wang Yi asked, ”Was Your Highness satisfied with today?”

”Satisfied? I’m very satisfied! Yang Jian, you did a wonderful job. If we were in the Imperial Palace, I would have certainly rewarded you handsomely!”

’Forget the reward,’ Wang Yi thought. ’Just give me the favorability points! I’ve been busy all day and still haven’t gotten a system notification about another increase.’

Li Longyu suddenly fell silent for a moment. Then, looking at Wang Yi with a serious expression, she blinked and said, ”Yang Jian, can you take me to see the ocean?”

”Now?”

”Yes, now!”

”No problem. It’s a small thing.”

Wang Yi brought out the Galaxy Airship, and with Li Longyu aboard, they streaked across the sky, arriving at the East Sea in less than ten minutes.

Under the night sky, waves churned in the sea, and a faint mist shrouded the distance.

Li Longyu walked onto the sandy shore. Facing the sea breeze and gazing out at the water, she said, ”So this is the ocean... Back in the Imperial Palace, I always dreamed of what the ocean would look like. I imagined it must be an incredibly vast and free place. I wish I could... see it clearly. But it’s a shame. It’s too dark. I can’t see anything. I can’t see...”

”So what if it’s dark?” Wang Yi snapped his fingers. The Energy Lighthouse flared to life at full power, as if the morning sun had returned. The surrounding area for hundreds of miles was instantly as bright as day.

”Now you can see it clearly!”

”How magical! I can see it! I can see it clearly! The ocean... it really is so vast... Thank you, Yang Jian!”

Wang Yi sensed a subtle shift in Li Longyu’s mood. He thought for a moment, then said, ”There’s an even vaster place! Follow me!”

Next, Wang Yi shut off the Energy Lighthouse’s light. He took Li Longyu high into the sky in the Galaxy Airship, broke through the World Line, and brought her to stand upon it, where they gazed out at the Star Sea and looked down upon the world below.

”Isn’t it even more vast here?” Wang Yi asked.

But Li Longyu, who had been so lively all day, fell silent. She hugged her knees, sitting on the World Line. Bathed in the light of the cosmos, her face looked a little gaunt.

”I will remember this day forever. I will remember that you showed me the ocean. I will remember that you brought me to the Starry Sky, that you let me look down upon the world. I have seen sights a Mortal could never hope to see in a lifetime. Today felt like a dream... Yang Jian, thank you. But now... please take me back to the Imperial Palace.”

”Hm? What nonsense are you talking about?”

”I’m already content with having been so willful for just one day. I still have to go back to the Imperial Palace. I’m a princess, after all.”

”After all the trouble we went through to get you out of the Imperial Palace, now you’re telling me you want to go back?”

”To be honest, I never really thought I could escape the Imperial Palace. I just wanted to rebel a little. I’m satisfied now, so I have to go back. The court, the Empress Dowager, the civil and military officials, the people on the frontiers... so many people are waiting for me.”

Wang Yi lifted Li Longyu’s chin. ”What if you don’t go back?”

Li Longyu pushed his hand away and giggled. ”And where would I go if I didn’t?”

”You can stay with me. I’ll take care of you.”

”You’ll take care of me?” Li Longyu laughed. ”Yang Jian, my destiny has only three possible conclusions. For me to follow you... you’d have to be Sun Wukong!”

”If necessary, I can become Sun Wukong.”

”Alright, stop joking. Yang Jian, take me back. I’m serious.”

”I’m serious too,” Wang Yi said. ”The Empress Dowager won’t blame you. The court’s civil and military officials won’t dare to give you trouble. The Celestial Net Army will retreat. You can be free to be yourself. I decree it!”

”Yang Jian, you...”

”I’m not Yang Jian, and I’m not Sun Wukong. My name is Wang Yi. I am telling only you.”

As he spoke, Wang Yi swept Li Longyu up into his arms.

”Be my woman, and I will protect you from all harm.”
