Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 237: Chapter 206: Ancient Barbarian Imperial Court

At this very moment, on Bright Pearl Island, Spirit Wood Mountain transformed into a speck of light and slowly flew into the space between Wang Yi’s eyebrows.

”Ding! Mountain Refining Body complete. Your Physique has been enhanced. You have obtained a breath of Mountain and River True Qi!”

”Ding! Refining Mountains as Armor complete. Congratulations on obtaining the special equipment [Spirit Wood Armor: Great Spirit Wood Mountain God]. You can summon this armor to wear yourself or equip it onto others. While wearing the Battle Armor, it will continuously release Wood Spirit Energy, and you will consume one point of Chaos Energy per second...”

Wang Yi nodded in satisfaction.

He had done the Refinement on Spirit Wood Mountain mainly as a ”collectible.” He planned to take it back and place it in the Battle Sacred Land, so it didn’t matter if its practical use was somewhat limited.

’I wonder if Zhao Mei has become an Adventurer yet. Jumping off a cliff is so slow. I have machine guns, grenades, and even a Rocket Cannon...’

Wang Yi muttered to himself, then vaulted off the Bronze Vintage Car, switched to his No-Damage Attack, and started kicking and punching it.

Meanwhile, Bright Pearl Island was in complete chaos.

”Spirit Wood Mountain is gone!”

”It was a perfectly fine mountain! How did it just disappear?”

”Spirit Wood Mountain is a respawn point, right? With it gone, will people still be able to respawn here?”

”There’s a brutal bandit on the mountain, robbing people at weapon-point, even stealing their clothes!”

”He’s probably the one who stole Spirit Wood Mountain!”

”Holy shit, what kind of badass bandit can steal an entire mountain?”

”True Monarch Erlang the Saint, Yang Jian!”

”Wasn’t it Emperor Qin Shi Huang?”

”I heard it was Yang Jian disguised as Emperor Qin Shi Huang! He stole Spirit Wood Mountain and is about to make a run for it!”

”Make way, make way! Everyone, clear a path! The Island Lord is here...”

The Players on Bright Pearl Island were in a heated discussion. Just then, a towering giant was seen running toward the mountain peak.

The giant was nearly two and a half meters tall, with an incredibly burly build. His muscles seemed to bulge as if they were inflated. He wore a breastplate, carried a saber in his hand, had a leather whip hanging from his waist, and ropes on his back. He was, unmistakably, also a Slave Lord.

But he wasn’t a Player!

He was the Island Lord of Bright Pearl Island, a strange member of the Indigenous People named Ancient Barbarian Hongfu.

For Players on Bright Pearl Island to become Slave Lords, they had to accept quests from Ancient Barbarian Hongfu. After completing his tasks, they would receive the Blood Wine he bestowed. Drinking the Blood Wine allowed them to reclassify as a Slave Lord.

You could say that on this island, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu was essentially the Slave Lord trainer.

And he was also the strongest Slave Lord on the island. He possessed all the abilities of a Slave Lord!

”Damn it! How dare he bully my disciples! I’d like to see just who this Yang Jian is!”

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu rumbled in his deep voice.

A few Players were leading the way for him. They were the very same ones who had followed Shen Xingnan earlier in an attempt to capture Wang Yi.

They were now dressed in rough linen clothes, carrying small, rusty knives.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to wear better clothes or wield better blades. The problem was that as soon as they equipped anything good, their clothes and weapons would automatically disappear. Only by wearing tattered rags and worthless, old knives could they keep their equipment.

Frustrated, they had tattled to Ancient Barbarian Hongfu, hoping he would deal with Wang Yi.

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu had a fiery temper; he was the type to explode at the slightest provocation. After a little goading, he grabbed his saber and charged up the mountain, ready to have a showdown with Wang Yi.

But by the time he reached the mountain peak, Wang Yi had already finished repairing the Bronze Vehicle, and Zhao Mei had successfully regrouped with him.

The Zhao Mei standing before Wang Yi now wore a novice robe. Her eyes were bright and lively, her features stunningly beautiful, and her figure was perfect. She was a first-class beauty, comparable in looks to Yuan Yao and Liu Qin.

”So, this is your true appearance?” Wang Yi said as if in sudden realization. ”No wonder you wanted to become an Adventurer. With looks like these, it’s only natural you wouldn’t want to wear someone else’s skin.”

Zhao Mei smiled and said, ”Lord, hurry and give me the Proof of Promotion to Supreme Pill Master! I want to reclassify!”

”Alright!”

Wang Yi took out the [Proof of Promotion to Supreme Pill Master], which he had already unsealed, and the Storage Bracelet that Zhao Mei had given him earlier.

Zhao Mei took them, finally able to relax. A wide smile spread across her face. Wasting no time, she quickly used the Reclassification Certificate. A golden light flashed around her, and she became a Pill Dao Venerable. Seven small cauldrons—red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and violet—floated around her.

Those small cauldrons were class-specific items granted upon reclassification, which Zhao Mei could use for Alchemy from now on.

”Congratulations, congratulations!”

Wang Yi said before turning to face the direction of Ancient Barbarian Hongfu.

He had noticed the big oaf for a while now, but looking at him up close, he was slightly surprised.

[Ancient Barbarian Hongfu: Island Lord of Bright Pearl Island, Slave Lord, royalty of the Ancient Barbarian Country, sixteenth son of the current Emperor of the Ancient Barbarian Country. A purple (B-rank) plot character. He was ordered to establish a slave market on Bright Pearl Island and can return to the Ancient Barbarian Imperial Court in two years. Killing him will yield certain spoils of war. In two years, returning with him to the Ancient Barbarian Imperial Court can trigger an exclusive plot quest.]

Wang Yi didn’t know if other Players could see Ancient Barbarian Hongfu’s information, but he never expected to run into a B-rank plot character today.

”Which one of you bullied my disciples? Was it you?”

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu shouted viciously upon seeing Wang Yi.

Wang Yi replied, ”I didn’t bully them. On the contrary, they came to smash my vehicle for no reason! Are you here to stick up for them?”

”Still won’t admit it? You killed one of my female disciples!”

”She brought it on herself!”

”Hmph! This Island Lord can’t be bothered to argue with you. I am the king here! Bullying my disciples is the same as disrespecting me! I’m going to capture you and make you a slave! Will you surrender without a fight, or do I have to beat you up first and then do with you as I please?”

Wang Yi laughed. ”Sixteenth Prince, you have just sealed your own fate!”

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu was shocked and yelled, ”You know my identity?”

”Of course. I also know that in two more years, you can return to the Ancient Barbarian Royal Court!”

Hearing this, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu’s expression darkened. ”You know too much. It seems I can’t let you live today!”

With that, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu raised his saber and continued forward. A crowd of Players had gathered behind him, cheering him on.

Wang Yi sighed and said to Zhao Mei beside him, ”Step back a bit!”

Zhao Mei heard him and immediately retreated.

”Big guy, I’m not going to hold back! Witness my chariot’s charge! Giddyap!”

Wang Yi cracked the reins. Nine Terracotta Horses, neck and neck, pulled the Bronze War Chariot and charged straight at Ancient Barbarian Hongfu.

Completely undaunted, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu charged toward the Bronze War Chariot. With a single horizontal slash of his saber, he shattered four of the Terracotta Horses. At the same time, his clothes and armor vanished, leaving him in nothing but a pair of large shorts and the great saber in his hand.

”Huh?”

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu froze for a moment, but he had no time to think. He continued to raise his saber and hack away. His great saber could unleash Sword Qi, which was fierce and tyrannical. It instantly hacked the Bronze Horse Carriage to pieces as if it had exploded.

Inside the carriage, Wang Yi was also hit by the Sword Qi’s shockwave. But thanks to his Mountain and River Body Refining, his Physique was incredibly powerful. A faint starlight shimmered over his body, and he was completely unharmed.

Moreover, the Black Crowned Robe he was wearing automatically cleaned and repaired itself.

About two breaths later, Wang Yi stood up from the wreckage of the shattered Bronze War Chariot, nonchalant and without a speck of dust on him.

He looked at Ancient Barbarian Hongfu with a hint of surprise.

Somehow, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu was now wearing a full set of Golden Armor. The long saber in his hand had transformed into a long-handled great saber. He stood with the weapon, looking like a mighty Military General standing proud on the battlefield.

But just a moment ago, a system notification had sounded, stating that Ancient Barbarian Hongfu’s personal belongings had been forcibly sold off to compensate Wang Yi with 666 Gold Coins, with an outstanding debt of 4,656 Gold Coins.

’Why weren’t his Golden Armor and great saber sold off?’ Wang Yi rubbed his chin, wondering, ’Are they soul-bound items? The untradeable kind? Or maybe some sort of special equipment?’

”You demon!”

Seeing Wang Yi completely unharmed, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu flew into a rage and raised his great saber to hack at him again.

Wang Yi stood still and took the blow head-on. The great saber struck his head, creating a shower of sparks before bouncing off, forcing Ancient Barbarian Hongfu to stumble back a step.

”Put some more muscle into it. I can take it!”

Wang Yi said nonchalantly, rubbing his head.

He now had six mountains and four rivers within him. Even before the Refinement of Spirit Wood Mountain, a Great Sage Avatar with King-level Combat Power couldn’t hurt him. As for this mere Slave Lord, Wang Yi reckoned he could stand still and let the man attack him for a full day without getting injured.

”You demon, what sort of wicked magic are you using?”

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu rubbed his palms together, staring at Wang Yi in disbelief. He didn’t dare to rashly advance any further.

Seeing him hesitate, Wang Yi shook his head. ”Forget it. I don’t have time to waste here. I’d better just let you die to clear your debt. Time for you to log off!”

With that, Wang Yi’s figure flickered, and he suddenly transformed into four Monkey Kings.

Three of the avatars immediately charged at Ancient Barbarian Hongfu, wielding their Golden Cudgels.

”What are these things?”

Ancient Barbarian Hongfu was completely baffled. He raised his great saber to trade blows with the three Monkey Kings but was no match for them at all.

Forget three Monkey Kings; he couldn’t even defeat one.

In just five or six breaths, Ancient Barbarian Hongfu was beaten to death. His body suddenly transformed into a streak of light that shot northward in an instant, leaving behind a Treasure Chest!

At the same time, a system announcement covering the entire Bright Pearl Island rang out: ”Ding! Regional Announcement: The Slave Lord Ancient Barbarian Hongfu has been killed. The Bright Pearl Island plot is advancing. 100 Slave Lord Reclassification Certificates will now drop randomly across the island!”

”Ding! Regional Announcement: Due to the death of the Slave Lord Ancient Barbarian Hongfu, all slaves on Bright Pearl Island are liberated! All Players who used Blood Wine to reclassify as Slave Lords will be reverted to their original state and lose the Slave Lord class!”

”Ding! Regional Announcement: The special plot, Ancient Barbarian Imperial Court, has been unlocked. The Emperor of the Ancient Barbarian Country is about to declare war on the Golden Sparrow Country. All Players may proceed to the Ancient Barbarian Imperial Court to learn more about the relevant plot information and participate.”

The regional announcements sounded one after another, sending Bright Pearl Island into turmoil.

Those disciples of Ancient Barbarian Hongfu were quickly stripped of their Slave Lord class. Down at the foot of the mountain, in the slave market, all the captured Player and Indigenous People slaves were instantly set free.

Far away in the Ancient Barbarian Country, within the Ancient Barbarian Imperial Court, a massive man over three meters tall shot to his feet and roared, ”One of the Sixteen Sons of the East Sea has fallen! Our destiny has weakened yet again! It seems I must invade the Golden Sparrow Country and capture the most beautiful woman in the world to serve as a slave. Only then can our destiny be repaired!”
