Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 227: Chapter 198: Dwarf, Sky Ship, Flying Soldier

”Yes!”

Jelena and the others bowed in acknowledgment.

Wang Yi took out a Scroll and gently unfurled it. It immediately dissolved into a flash of light. At the same time, a new ”Flight Training Room” appeared in all of Eggshell Village’s barracks and barracks-like structures, including the Octagonal Cage, the Military Intelligence Camp, the Military Affairs Office, the Beast Cage, and the Fine Armaments Factory!

”Ding! You have used a Flying Soldier Technology Scroll. Your territory has acquired Flying Soldier technology. All Professional Soldiers who pass flight training will receive a personal Flying Bag. Please note: due to the unique characteristics of certain Soldier Types, they may refuse flight training.”

Wang Yi received the system prompt.

What he had just used was the Flying Soldier Technology Scroll, obtained from the B09 ruins in the remains of Li City, a former Green Land Alliance city in World of Suffering #356.

On this trip to the World of Suffering, Wang Yi had primarily explored two city ruins—the ruins of Li City and the Ten Thousand Cities Ruins. He also cleared out two eco-territories and killed two Spirit-Transformed Earth Deities.

Back when he killed the Earth Deity Xinghai, Wang Yi had obtained a Mission Clue Scroll. The scroll could be used at the former site of the Green Land Alliance’s Li City to reveal the location of the B09 ruins. Exploring those ruins offered a chance to acquire a Sky Ship and Flying Soldier technology.

When Wang Yi traversed to World of Suffering #356 this time, he’d gotten lucky, randomly appearing inside a Tower of Suffering right next to the ruins of Li City. It was then a simple matter to use the Mission Clue Scroll. He swept through the ruins, conquered the B09 site, and obtained not only the Flying Soldier technology but also the Sky Ship.

The Sky Ship was designated B-class and could sustain a thousand people. Supported by Eco-Technology, it could generate its own independent ecosystem, using photosynthesis to stay afloat.

Though it was called a small ecosystem, it really just meant it had facilities for eco-recycling, like cultivation stores and freshwater processors—just enough for people to survive on board.

Wang Yi tapped his Starlight Bracelet. A cone of light flared from it, releasing the Sky Ship.

The Sky Ship was shaped like a naval vessel, its surfaces covered in vegetation, resembling a small, green island built upon the frame of an aircraft carrier. It was about a thousand meters long and three hundred meters wide, with three decks in total.

It could float and move, but its speed was so slow that it was basically just drifting.

If it runs out of energy, it will descend to the ground.

”Jelena, I’m putting you in charge of this first Sky Ship. It has some eco-farmland for growing crops and can also garrison troops. For now, use it as a watchtower, an artillery platform, and a patrol vessel.”

Wang Yi spoke calmly, then addressed everyone. ”War is inevitable, and peace is a privilege reserved for the strong. If we don’t want our home to be invaded, then we must build it up and make it so powerful that no one would dare try!”

As he spoke, Wang Yi produced more items from his Starlight Bracelet: a large cache of firearms and supplies, a Grizzly Tank, two armored transport vehicles, and large quantities of fuel and food.

These supplies had, of course, also come from the World of Suffering. Wang Yi had everyone organize and sort them, but he didn’t intend to store them in the Chaos Warehouse, making them easily accessible to the territory’s residents.

Wang Yi then took out 120,000 Gold Coins and handed them to Nangong Jin. ”General Nangong, please continue recruiting. The territory’s development requires a massive fighting force!”

”It is my duty!”

Nangong Jin replied with a deep bow.

Wang Yi then noticed that Nangong Jin’s military rank had surprisingly been promoted to One-star War General. He guessed it was probably related to his recruitment duties.

’Wang Bushi has blasted two Earth Deities to death in the World of Suffering, and he’s still just a Nine-Star Soldier. Yet Nangong Jin is already a One-star War General. He might be the only person in my territory with a War General rank right now. If recruiting soldiers increases military merit, he could become the first Minister of Military Affairs to take a seat in the Military Affairs Office...’

Wang Yi silently pondered this for a moment.

Next, Wang Yi dismissed everyone. He then took out two Recruitment Scrolls and two Chaos Eggs.

These items were also part of his haul from his recent exploration of the World of Suffering.

With the disappearance of the Eco-Dominator, Jiya, the ecosystem of World of Suffering #356 was now untamed, and its ecological network had collapsed. The biggest change was that the Earth Deity Beasts within were no longer immortal. They no longer received support from the world’s ecosystem and could now be hunted and killed.

Thus, Wang Yi had little trouble dispatching the Spirit-Transformed Earth Deities holed up in the ruins of Li City and the Ten Thousand Cities Ruins. The system rewards weren’t diminished either; Wang Yi still received Supply Treasure Chests, Mysterious Items, Recruitment Scrolls, and other rewards like resurrection for fallen soldiers and random soldier advancements.

The soldier advancement rewards were all used on Man Datou, allowing his Dragon Elephant Skill to break through to the ninth level.

Wang Yi had also specifically used Forged Information to modify his identity, changing his alias from ”Sun Wukong” to ”Yang Jian” in the hopes of obtaining an Eco-Tree Species.

But as it turned out, modifying his identity in this way didn’t work; he still couldn’t obtain an Eco-Tree Species.

Failing to obtain an Eco-Tree Species was the one regret from his recent expedition.

Wang Yi now used the two Recruitment Scrolls in a row. Light flooded the ground before him, and two groups of new soldiers appeared.

One group consisted of 72 Purple-skinned Orcs!

The other was a group of 80 Purple Hammer Dwarves!

Purple-skinned Orcs were a superior soldier type, so Wang Yi was naturally delighted to have recruited another batch.

And they were all female!

As for the Purple Hammer Dwarves... they were a group of fellows about five feet tall with five-foot waists and thick beards. They were short but powerfully built, each came equipped with a hammer, and they possessed three skills: Outstanding Miner, Outstanding Blacksmith, and Outstanding Warrior.

’Not bad, not bad at all. I should send the Dwarf Miners and Purple-skinned Orcs to Yamero Star. I’m not counting on them for combat anyway; I just need them to mine for me. The Purple Hammer Dwarves can also forge metal, which is even better. They’ll be able to craft their own pickaxes in the future, and I won’t need Fish-Transformed Dragon to make Nail Rakes anymore...’

Wang Yi was very satisfied with the results of the two Recruitment Scrolls.

As for the two Purple Chaos Eggs, Wang Yi had already checked their Attribute Information. They were quite unremarkable: one would hatch into a vain and jealous butler, the other into a ”neurotic” mother-in-law.

’A mother-in-law out of thin air, without even a wife? Figures...’

Wang Yi muttered to himself. His original plan was to hatch these two Chaos Eggs, put them to work as Bitter Workers, and send them to Yamero Star. At least they’d be two more bodies for labor.

But after a moment’s thought, he decided to store them away instead.

’They are Purple Chaos Eggs, after all. High quality. I’ll just save them. They might be useful later!’

Wang Yi put the two Chaos Eggs away, then led the Purple-skinned Orcs and Dwarf Miners to an open area. A single Town Recall Scroll sent them all to Yamero Star.

A moment later, Wang Yi returned. He then led Yuan Yao and Liu Qin to his underground territory: the Battle Sacred Land.

There, with a mere thought, a point of light flew out from between his eyebrows.

The point of light swiftly transformed into a suit of Crystal Battle Armor, which then morphed into a hundred-meter-tall ”iceberg.”

More accurately, it was a bizarre ”Energy Ice Mountain.” According to the system description, it could continuously release Cold Ice Spirit Energy, creating a unique energy field that would affect the surrounding environment and ecosystem. It was a unique marvel born from the World of Suffering, with only benefits and no drawbacks.

Wang Yi called it the Profound Ice Mountain.

He had returned from the World of Suffering precisely because he had completed the Refinement of this Profound Ice Mountain. The process had cost him nearly ten million Chaos Energy, leaving him with just over ten million remaining. Knowing he still needed to upgrade his Heart of Chaos, he had decided to come back.

’Looking back on it now, it’s a good thing I finished the Refinement of the Profound Ice Mountain when I did. If I’d come back any later, I’m afraid Luan Bu and his men would have harmed my maids.’

”There are all kinds of Players in this world,” Wang Yi said to Yuan Yao and Liu Qin. ”If you two have any free time, you should use it to increase your own strength. Personal power is the best protection!”

The two attendants nodded silently.

Wang Yi then led them to the Wukong Dojo. Standing before the Heart of Chaos, he took out three Chaos Blind Boxes.

Two were purple, obtained during his recent expedition to the World of Suffering.

The third was gold, dropped by Luan Bu and his men.

’First, I’ll upgrade the Heart of Chaos, then open the Blind Boxes. After that, I’ll stockpile some more Chaos Energy. Then maybe I can finally take my time and explore the Typhon World...’
