Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2600: Chapter 1888: On the Eve of the Storm

Mr. Mira invited Hou Yuncheng to go to the Huaxia Business Group premises to deal with the ”sudden situation,” while Wagg stayed in Mira’s office, waiting for the ”exciting” news to arrive.

With solid evidence of Bai Xiaosheng receiving a ”bribe,” Yang Xiaoyun from the Yang Family as a witness, many media reporters present, and Mr. Mira himself in charge.

Wagg felt that this matter was solid.

”Bai Xiaosheng, oh Bai Xiaosheng, I wonder if after this, you will regret not agreeing to our demands in the first place!”

”Your disgrace is self-inflicted, and of course, it’s a sacrifice for our future, so don’t blame us!”

”After this, even if you regret it, it’s useless, because even merciful God can’t save you...”

Thinking of this, Wagg truly felt his mind and body were relaxed.

Left waiting and right waiting, Mira still didn’t come back, but Wagg wasn’t anxious at all, he thought such a big matter would inevitably consume a lot of time.

Wagg couldn’t stop imagining, with Bai Xiaosheng’s ”new charges” being confirmed, Hou Yuncheng would be so annoyed and ashamed, perhaps now pulling Mr. Mira to request them not to blow things up, as a bargaining chip, he would come forward to persuade Huaxia merchants to cooperate with the companies over here and give some benefits...

Just when Wagg was imagining all this pleasantly, the office door was forcefully pushed open, and Mr. Mira came in like a gust of wind, heading straight to the desk, pouring himself a full glass of water, and drank it in one gulp.

Repeating like this, Mira drank three large glasses of water.

When Wagg saw him come back, his eyes instantly brightened, he stood up from the sofa and rushed over, excitedly saying, ”Mr. Mira, how did it go? Did it succeed? Did that Bai Xiaosheng’s new charges get confirmed? Are the media people surrounding this issue with difficulties? That Hou Yuncheng...”

Before Wagg could finish, Mira slammed the cup on the table, angrily turning back, ”I...damn it, FUCK, what success!”

Wagg was startled, stopping in his tracks, looking at Mira in astonishment.

Mira’s anger started to erupt, ”Is this the final blow you arranged for me to attack Bai Xiaosheng? And it’s supposed to be a lethal one? That Yang Xiaoyun is an idiot, your nephew too! Even you, I think, are! At the scene, only 60,000 of US Dollar worth of things were found from Bai Xiaosheng’s room, just a bit higher than the tax-exempt gift amount by law! Why would a big Huaxia businessman be bribed for such a small amount of money? How am I supposed to convince the authorities and the public, who would believe wealthy Huaxia people care about such petty cash! Damn it, that Yang Xiaoyun said there were goods worth millions, where are they!”

Wagg was stunned by Mira’s roaring, although he gathered a rough idea of what happened.

The situation was not as expected, only insignificant items were found, and the so-called ”bribery” accusation was hovering between yes and no...

Wagg was a bit dumbfounded, not knowing how things turned out this way.

To be said, even if Alger didn’t do a solid job, could it be the same with Yang Xiaoyun from the Yang Family.

Everyone knew, he was a famously sly and cautious person in the West African business community, him standing out to testify against Bai Xiaosheng should be foolproof...

”Mr. Mira, what’s going on here, please don’t rush, tell me carefully, let’s sit down and make a long-term plan.”

Wagg hurriedly comforted Mira.

At this point, Mira understood that even exploding with anger wouldn’t help anymore.

He was breathing heavily, sat back on his chair, to make himself feel better.

After resting for about five minutes, Mira explained the situation in detail to Wagg.

Wagg was also a bit stunned hearing it.

This situation, greatly unexpected!

”Just because the scene was overblown by the media and two more Huaxia people’s rooms were searched, I even went to explain to that Hou Yuncheng for a long time! Do you think it feels good to look at a cold face! Also, I see that Hou Yuncheng was genuinely furious because of our move this time! When talking with me, even though his words weren’t that intense, I could see his patience was at its limit, maybe by tomorrow, he will notify our Oshan’s higher-ups! By then, to consider the relationship between both sides, guess how the top will handle us!”

Mira said a heap of resentful words in one breath, his throat even sounded hoarse.

It seemed that his ”explanation” with Hou Yuncheng must have been quite a marathon of words.

The effect was still uncertain.

”Huaxia people, can they be that aggressive? Weren’t they always known for their endurance...” Wagg couldn’t help but mutter.

In memory, they were supposed to be a very gentle race...

Mira was pouring himself a drink while sneering, ”Is your impression of Huaxia people still stuck in the past? Nowadays, they are better at protecting their own interests than ever! Do you know what their national treasure is? You think it’s the bamboo-eating ones? Let me tell you, they are also ferocious meat-eaters! In short, this matter is probably troublesome! Damn it, it was all planned well, who would have thought there would be an unexpected outcome!”

Mira truly felt a headache.

”At this point, Mr. Mira, we can only look forward!” Wagg advised.

For them, in fact, there wasn’t a second path, no turning back.

Mira narrowed his eyes slightly, saying in a deep voice, ”You’re right, we have no choice!”

After saying that, Mira pulled himself together, with a bit of a fierce look on his face.
