Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2592: Chapter 1885: Like a Storm

After Hou Yuncheng met Bai Xiaosheng, he went to Mira’s office and closed the door. Inside, bursts of ”arguments” could be heard, even faintly audible to those outside the door.

The high-level personnel from Huaxia was furious!

Two hours later, Hou Yuncheng left Mira’s office with a serious expression, not saying a word, while Mr. Mira personally escorted him to the elevator, smiling.

Wagg was the first to go to Mira’s office right after Hou Yuncheng left.

With the door closed, Wagg tentatively asked, ”Mr. Mira, was that Huaxia person difficult to deal with? People outside said they heard you arguing with him.”

”That’s nonsense.” Mira, behind his desk, laughed bitterly at himself, ”I was calm and gentle throughout; you call that arguing? I see it as receiving strong protests and condemnation.”

Mr. Mira was quite frank.

Wagg’s words were merely to save face for his boss...

”The Huaxia people are not easy to mess with. We need to act quickly and make Bai Xiaosheng feel cornered to force him to compromise, or else... it will be very troublesome later on,” Mira muttered.

Wagg was immediately on alert when he heard this.

”Mr. Mira, you wouldn’t be wavering, would you? You must stick to your position and not waver at all! None of us can waver on this issue, or the consequences will be more terrifying than losing our jobs! You wouldn’t want to end up in a place like prison, would you?”

Wagg’s words carried a hint of threat.

Mira’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he slowly nodded, ”Rest assured, once the first step is taken in this matter, there’s no turning back!”

The two then sat facing each other and researched for another hour—

How to continue to pressure Bai Xiaosheng next!

Finally, Wagg left Mr. Mira’s office.

Once out of Mira’s office, Wagg walked down the corridor, his eyes flickering. The pressure from the Huaxia people was indeed immense. Fortunately, some high-level officials at Oshan were also dissatisfied with Huaxia’s sudden reduction of inspections and were secretly helping them fend off some troubles. But this couldn’t be a long-term solution.

Moreover, it was still uncertain whether Mira could consistently withstand the pressure.

”But fortunately, the Huaxia people have vented their anger and won’t exert more pressure here for a short time.” Wagg took a deep breath and took out his phone.

He wanted to call his nephew Alger; Alger had another trump card that he had mentioned before.

Now, it’s time to use it.

”Bai Xiaosheng will never expect who will be helping us against him this time!” Wagg’s lips curled into a smile.

The more ”evidence,” the deeper Bai Xiaosheng would fall into trouble. If the ”evidence” was abundant, even the Huaxia side would have to change strategies and voluntarily settle things.

By then, they could set the conditions as they pleased!

The more Wagg thought, the more excited he became, eager to find a place to make the call.

In the afternoon, after lunch.

Wagg went to see Mira again, and this time, he brought someone along—his nephew Alger.

Upon seeing Alger and knowing why he came, Mr. Mira was astonished and then looked at Wagg with dissatisfaction.

This was a serious matter, and Wagg had dragged his nephew into it. The key was that this young man knew their plans from the start!

How absurd!

Previously, Mira always thought Alger knew only bits and pieces and had no way of confirming even if he guessed.

Now, well, the person was standing right in front of him, just short of demanding a confrontation.

”Alger is trustworthy. Many of my ideas were inspired by him, and quite a few things this time were actually helped by him behind the scenes.” Wagg confided to Mira.

Wagg meant that you shouldn’t worry about whether Alger is trustworthy; he knows everything and is already deeply involved.

Mira looked at Alger, who was smiling at him, and could only bitterly accept it.

”So Mr. Alger, you’ve brought us a powerful trump card, and I appreciate it. I heard you wish to meet Bai Xiaosheng?” Mira said to Alger.

”Yes, Mr. Mira, I want to have a chat with him. Previously, when I wanted to cooperate with him, he refused. I want to reclaim my dignity and persuade him to cooperate with us.” Alger replied honestly.

Look at that, a young man particularly concerned with his bit of dignity—is he reliable?

Mira felt helpless inside but nodded superficially, saying calmly, ”Fine, I’ll allow you to meet him. If you can persuade him, that would be great.”

Alger heard this, and immediately felt pleased, laughing, ”Don’t worry, I will persuade him. This time, I’m not only prepared with people and things to knock him down but also planning to involve the media. With the media, the pressure on Bai Xiaosheng and the Huaxia people will increase, while the pressure on our side will decrease.”

The media?

Mr. Mira suddenly frowned.

That could be a double-edged sword; if not used well, it would harm them first!

Seeing Mira frown, Wagg immediately said, ”Regarding this matter, I will report to you later. Rest assured, the resources are trustworthy!”

Since Wagg spoke so, Mira could only nod, tentatively trusting him.

Wagg turned to Alger and said, ”Alger, you’ve got the authorization now. Go, meet Bai Xiaosheng. I’ll call the guards shortly and let you through.”

Alger heard this, nodded, and then turned and left the office.

Once he left, Mira immediately frowned and said to Wagg, ”How far do you intend to take this! Do you want it to reach an uncontrollable point, Wagg?”
