Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2559: Chapter 1869: A Meeting

Their morning negotiations with Milo quickly received a response by noon: the Karan business community fully agreed with the results both sides had reached.

With a negotiated ”big framework” as the foundation, signing the contract would undoubtedly be a natural progression. The news brought joy to the business group.

So, this afternoon not only involved inspections but also contract signings.

The Karan enterprises that the business group inspected the previous day took the initiative to visit for the contract signing this time.

Upon receiving the news, the businessmen, who had originally planned to go out for inspections in the afternoon, changed their plans. Some stayed behind, sending assistants on inspections, while others left reliable deputies and went alone.

In short, this half-day afternoon was even livelier and busier than the entire day yesterday.

By evening, Bai Xiaosheng summarized the contract signing results and called Hou Yuncheng to report the situation.

Upon learning of their rapid progress and substantial achievements, Hou Yuncheng was naturally overjoyed and highly praised them.

...

While Bai Xiaosheng was sharing the good news with Hou Yuncheng, a white woman was sitting by the window in a café somewhere, elegantly stirring the silver spoon in her cup while gazing at the pedestrians illuminated by the streetlights outside.

This was none other than Miss Lisa.

As Lisa waited, someone hurriedly walked to the table, slightly breathless, took off the bag from her shoulder and placed it on the table, apologetically smiled as she sat down, ”Lisa, I’m sorry, I’m late, kept you waiting!”

Miss Lisa turned her head and smiled at the woman across from her.

”Not quite late, I didn’t have much going on anyway, Beatrice.”

If Bai Xiaosheng and his team saw this woman named ”Beatrice,” they would undoubtedly be surprised, because she was — Yang Yishan!

Yang Yishan had studied in America, and Lisa was her classmate; at that time, her English name was Beatrice.

After Yang Yishan sat down, a waiter approached and served a cup of coffee.

”I ordered Blue Mountain for you, your favorite,” Lisa said with a smile.

”Thank you.” Yang Yishan smiled, took the cup, her rosy lips touching the rim just like a dragonfly skimming the water, tasted it and nodded satisfactorily before setting the cup down.

”How did you know I was here?” Yang Yishan asked curiously, ”What made you think of asking me out for coffee?”

Lisa shrugged and smiled, ”I was passing through on a business trip and just saw a friend who mentioned you. So I called you, didn’t expect you to be here, and thought we’d get together. Looking at you, have you been quite busy lately?”

Upon Lisa’s inquiry, Yang Yishan nodded repeatedly and sighed, ”Oh definitely, I’m exhausted. The Yang Family is planning to expand business in Karan. Initially, we planned to open two or three factories and enterprises, but now it’s turned into six. Before the personnel arrive, I have to oversee everything myself.”

”That’s certainly tiring!” Lisa nodded, ”You must take care to rest. Look at you, you’re a bit haggard.”

Yang Yishan smiled bitterly and shrugged, indicating there was nothing she could do.

”By the way, why did your Yang Corporation suddenly decide to expand its investment here?” Lisa asked curiously, ”Is it related to the Huaxia Business Group? Previously, I told you about the Karan business community’s confrontation with them. Later, I heard you also had friction with the Huaxia Business Group. I was worried that the information I provided caused your Yang Family to take any targeted actions. You’re expanding investment not as competition against the Huaxia Business Group, right? Let me remind you, things seem to have changed, the Karan business community is seeking cooperation with the Huaxia Business Group. If you plan to act, you need to hurry!”

Lisa’s concern made Yang Yishan laugh, ”Don’t worry, our investment expansion isn’t a temporary facade or a sudden decision for competition. At present, we’re also collaborating with the Huaxia Business Group. I won’t hide it from you; it’s our cooperation with the Huaxia Business Group that turned the tide for the Karan business community.”

This will eventually become clear; it’s no secret, so Yang Yishan straightforwardly shared with Lisa.

Upon Yang Yishan’s explanation, Lisa immediately showed surprise.

”I knew it...” Lisa couldn’t help but say, ”But... why did you oppose the Huaxia Business Group before? How could signing some cooperation agreements resolve the issue... As far as I know, that’s not Mr. Yang Xiaoyun’s personality!”

”What, do you think we should face off against the Huaxia Business Group?”

Yang Yishan looked at Lisa curiously.

”Of course, that’s not what I mean, I’m just a little curious,” Lisa quickly changed her smile, ”If it’s not convenient to discuss, then I won’t ask.”

Yang Yishan picked up the coffee cup for a sip and said with a smile, ”Indeed, this time both my father and my grandfather stand out of the ordinary, due to different people involved. This business group leader Bai Xiaosheng is no ordinary person.”

”It’s rare for Mr. Yang Xiaoyun to hold someone in such high regard,” Lisa sighed, her eyes gleaming as she said with a smile, ”This time, meeting you isn’t just for a private chat, I also want to meet Mr. Yang through you. You know, our LLK Group is very interested in your Yang Family’s business.”

Yang Yishan laughed, ”Well then, I see there’s a lot to gain from my visit.”

”I can give you a contact number, it’s my father’s secretary’s number. I can also directly inform my father; such an important guest as you will definitely receive a personal meeting from him.”

Saying this, Yang Yishan opened her bag, took out paper and a note to write down the name and contact, handing it to Lisa.

Lisa took it, looked at it, smiled, and carefully put it away.

”Hey, let me ask you something. Do you know someone named Milo?” Yang Yishan suddenly asked.

Lisa’s eyes sparked with interest, smiled and replied, ”Of course. Why do you ask about him?”

Yang Yishan touched her chin and said, ”I heard someone mention him, saying this person is quite adept at business negotiations.”

Yang Yishan heard Bai Xiaosheng mention him briefly, which piqued her interest in this representative of the Karan business community.

”Do you know who this person is?” Lisa’s eyes flickered, she smiled softly and asked back.

Under Yang Yishan’s inquisitive gaze, Lisa provided an answer.

”No wonder, the Karan business community would push him forward,” Yang Yishan suddenly realized.

”Speaking of, Mr. Milo is probably very resentful towards me right now,” Lisa pursed her lips, laughing.

”Why?” Yang Yishan asked puzzled.

”Let me tell you, this guy fell for a woman, one of Huaxia Business Group Leader Bai Xiaosheng’s assistants. And I gave him a piece of advice — be a hero saving the beauty.”

Lisa laughed and shrugged, ”But in the end, it didn’t quite succeed, seems like one of Bai Xiaosheng’s bodyguards was too formidable, you think he’d blame me for a lousy idea.”

”Additionally, if this incident were exposed, it could escalate conflicts between the individuals or even both sides.”

”Imagine, what kind of person is Bai Xiaosheng? How could he tolerate being manipulated like this, not only having his subordinate targeted but also almost facing danger himself.”

”As for Milo’s identity... you know if Bai Xiaosheng won’t let the matter rest, Milo naturally wouldn’t admit fault or bow down, if facing opposition, wouldn’t it be quite a spectacle.”

”Of course, I’m not interested in such drama, so you mustn’t mention this matter!”

Yang Yishan clicked her tongue in admiration, then teased Lisa, ”I didn’t expect you’d come up with such a tricky idea.”

Lisa pursed her lips, her eyes shimmering, she reaffirmed, ”All in all, don’t bring up this matter with others!”
