Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2593: Chapter 1885: Like a Storm (Part 2)

Although he knew the matter was serious, Mr. Mira now truly felt chills down his spine.

”Do you think we still need to be restrained? The Huaxia people have already come to us!”

This time, Mr. Wagg was uncompromising, shouting fiercely at Mr. Mira.

This tough stance and the current situation choked Mr. Mira’s breath, his eyes flickering uncertainly.

”We have no retreat, we can only move forward, only forward!” Wagg stated firmly.

After a long time, Mr. Mira finally exhaled a breath of impure air and said to Wagg, ”Explain to me in detail, what are you planning to do next!”

No matter how things develop, he accepted it.

Upon hearing this, Wagg immediately gave a smile, ”Our plan will definitely satisfy you!”

Elsewhere.

Alger left Mr. Mira’s office, hastening to the hotel where Bai Xiaosheng was temporarily staying.

The journey was silent.

Upon arrival, the guards had already been informed of Alger’s visit and, with Wagg’s orders, naturally allowed him entry.

Before entering, Alger adjusted his smile, ready to witness Bai Xiaosheng’s current agitated and angry state.

Honestly, he was really looking forward to it.

”Huaxia people, I kindly brought business your way back then, even negotiated with partners for you, yet you rejected me! You embarrassed me among those business partners, and now I will thoroughly ridicule you! In the end, you will have to bow down to me obediently; otherwise, you will be completely ruined!”

The more Alger thought about this, the more pleased he became, pushing the door open alone.

Upon entering, Alger indeed saw Bai Xiaosheng in a state of agitation, even somewhat angry.

At the same time, he heard a burst of intense battle music, quickly coming to an end.

”Damn it, didn’t clear it again, just a bit short!”

Bai Xiaosheng cursed, frustrated, throwing the game controller onto the coffee table, slumping onto the sofa to calm himself.

He was... playing video games?!

Alger was simply dumbfounded upon seeing this.

What kind of mindset is this, too carefree!

Being confined here, yet still in the mood to play?

Shouldn’t he be agitated, angry?

Alger was genuinely a bit dazed.

Bai Xiaosheng looked at Alger, his expression calm, with a slight smile as if he wasn’t surprised at all, ”Oh, Mr. Alger, you’re here. I was just wondering when you might come to see me.”

”How did you know, I, I would come...” Alger was momentarily stumped by Bai Xiaosheng’s question, unable to react, even stuttering a little.

Aware of his lack of composure, Alger was a bit annoyed.

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled lightly, ”Is it hard to guess? Both you and your uncle approached me with business proposals during the banquet that day, which I rejected, giving you reason to be antagonistic towards me. Now, when I encounter this matter, there are certain things that Mr. Wagg and his department can’t directly intervene in, but are conveniently related to the business segments you handle. Moreover, I gathered a bit of information from Mr. Wagg.”

Bai Xiaosheng listed his points one, two, and three, causing a chill to creep over them.

He observes with meticulous detail, truly terrifying!

”That can’t prove I am necessarily aware of it.” Alger, though shocked, still tried to remain composed.

Bai Xiaosheng picked up the remote, turning off the television, smiling, ”What I just said was a bluff. I don’t have evidence, but your expression tells me I guessed right. You’re involved in this matter, and quite significantly. With that, I suspect your uncle and others have set me up nicely. Thank you for confirming this for me.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s mocking words made Alger somewhat upset.

This self-proclaimed clever, but actually cunning Huaxia person, still has the mood to jest with him!

Alger walked over with a cold smile, pulling a chair to sit across from Bai Xiaosheng.

”Mr. Bai, no matter how you speculate, it’s just your imagination! You have no evidence, and I won’t admit anything! Rather than talking about those pointless things, why not discuss something valuable? Like, how to end this matter quickly, allowing you to leave here!” Alger said.

He was ready to lay all the cards on the table with Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng calmly looked at Alger, a slight smile appearing after two seconds, ”Sorry, you’re willing to talk, but I have no interest in listening.”

Knowing that Alger and Wagg were on the same side, what he was going to say was not hard to guess, it would be similar to what Wagg had previously said.

At most, adding some conditions like cooperation or something.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t need to think carefully, he could guess most of it, naturally losing interest in listening.

Besides, Alger seemed eager to spill everything.

Therefore, Bai Xiaosheng was even less inclined to grant his wish.

”I haven’t even spoken yet!” Alger, of course, was quite displeased, furrowing his brows.

This Huaxia person really doesn’t give him any face!

Previously it was like this, and now again!

Alger only felt his anger rising, utterly aggrieved.

”Whether you speak or not makes no difference, I have no interest!” Bai Xiaosheng told him word by word.

Then, Bai Xiaosheng, with an amused look, said, ”You mentioned discussing ways to leave here quickly, but why should I leave, and quickly? This place is great, the living is comfortable, every meal prepared by a chef is delicious, there’s a gym, and I can play video games. You don’t know how pleased I am, and how thankful I am for such care. You have no idea how exhausting being a trade delegation leader can be, these days are perfect for some rest. Speaking of which, I ought to especially thank you!”

Bai Xiaosheng’s words truly made Alger’s eyelids twitch, his blood pressure soar.

”Bai Xiaosheng... Mr. Bai, do you know what situation you’re in here, your reputation, your status, all will suffer because of this, and you don’t care?” Alger, slightly breathless, sternly questioned, ”Do you believe that in a few days, you’ll be utterly finished!”
