Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Hold her down! Don’t let her move! Call 911 now!”

Chester Johnson hurried over. Seeing that several people couldn’t restrain Eileen Scott, he walked right up and knocked her unconscious with a single chop to the neck!

The people nearby stared blankly at the scene, clearly stunned.

Chester Johnson picked up a piece of clothing and covered Eileen Scott with it.

He was baffled too. ’What in the world just happened?’

Melody Monroe was supposed to be the one feeling the drug’s effects, but she was completely fine. Instead, it was Eileen Scott!

Twenty-five minutes later, the paramedics arrived. After checking Eileen Scott’s condition, one of them immediately said, ”The patient has overdosed. She needs to be taken to the hospital immediately.”

Several paramedics lifted Eileen Scott and headed out.

The moment they walked out of the hotel, they were dumbfounded.

The ambulance was completely surrounded, and it was all paparazzi!

Thanks to Mr. Tophill, two-thirds of the nation’s paparazzi were in Somberfell City.

Some had even run over in their pajamas, others were barefoot. The scene was pure chaos.

Keith Coleman stood on high ground, observing the situation outside. Everything was going according to his plan.

They finally managed to get Eileen Scott into the ambulance, but a crowd of paparazzi followed close behind, their dedication almost comical.

...

”What the hell happened?! Look at the mess you’ve made!” a voice roared through the phone.

Wayne Payne was still lying face down in bed, his back injury not yet healed. ”Ma’am, please calm down! I just asked around. It was Rhona Hughes who acted on her own and had Chester Johnson drug the drink. Chester clearly drugged Melody Monroe’s glass, but Eileen Scott happened to go over and propose a toast right then, and... well, you know what happened next.”

”What are the specifics?” Lana Sheffield was about to explode with rage.

Eileen Scott wasn’t like other celebrities! She was her cousin!

Although the Scott Family had always relied on the Sheffield Family, they still had some standing in the business world. Eileen Scott had wanted to be a star, and after Lana married Christopher Sterling, Eileen had constantly begged her for help.

And now look! She had just joined the company, and something like this happens!

Her mother had just called her; Eileen’s mother had a heart attack when she heard the news and had also been rushed to the hospital!

”Go find out exactly what happened! It must have been Melody Monroe’s doing! I’ll make her pay a much steeper price!”

”Yes, Ma’am, don’t worry. I’m heading over right now. I’m very close by, so I’ll be there soon!”

Wayne Payne ignored his back injury, checked himself out of the hospital against medical advice, and rushed to the scene in a wheelchair.

Rose Shaw and Felix Hughes were in the banquet hall, but no one could say for sure what had actually happened.

”The fallout from this incident is too great. The higher-ups have decided to temporarily suspend the broadcast. I have to take primary responsibility for this,” Felix Hughes said to Rose Shaw.

Before Rose Shaw could respond, a voice cut in.

”Call the police! Why haven’t you called the police? Someone clearly framed Eileen Scott! What kind of show are you people running? I’m going to sue your production team, and the hotel! You’re all responsible!” Wayne Payne was wheeled in by Eileen Scott’s assistant.

”Where’s Melody Monroe? This happened after Eileen had a drink with her. She’s definitely involved! She must have been the one to pull something!”

Rose Shaw’s expression darkened. Just as she was about to step forward, Keith Coleman suddenly stepped out.

”Watch what you say! I could sue you for slander!”

When Wayne Payne saw Keith Coleman, his back started to ache.

He remembered what the doctor had just said: he hadn’t recovered yet, and checking out against medical advice could affect his recovery and lead to chronic problems.

’And for a man, having a bad back... well, that was a very bad thing indeed.’
