Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

The remaining two teams had only transported two and one carrot, respectively.

The competition was still underway. Having finished early, Melody Monroe and her team sat under a parasol, watching the other three teams battle it out.

The little piglet was nestled in her arms, resting its chin on her forearm and squinting in bliss as she gently stroked it.

Evan Fairchild glanced from his phone to the pig.

’Braised suckling pig tastes pretty good!’

”Captain, that piglet really likes you! It’s so cute, I want to hold it too,” Nana Owen said, wanting a turn. But as soon as she lifted the piglet into her arms, it started to struggle.

She quickly placed the piglet back in Melody’s arms.

”Is this pig really that smart? Let me see if it’ll let me hold it.” Cynthia Jacobs also reached for the little pig.

But before her hand could even touch it, the piglet shied away.

A few others tried as well, but the result was the same.

The piglet only wanted to snuggle in Melody Monroe’s arms.

”Is this piglet for sale?” Melody Monroe asked a nearby staff member.

”I’ll go ask.”

”Okay, thank you.”

”Captain, you’re not actually thinking of buying a pig, are you? People have cats or dogs for pets, or at the very least a hamster, a bird, a turtle, or a goldfish. But you... you’re really going to raise a pig?”

”What’s wrong with a pig? I think it’s adorable,” Melody Monroe retorted.

”Okay, fine. I should have known you weren’t your typical princess!”

The staff member returned shortly and said to Melody Monroe, ”The zoo staff got back to me. They said if you like the mini-pig, you can have it as a gift.”

”Really?” Melody Monroe asked, getting excited.

”Yes.”

”That’s wonderful.” Melody Monroe lifted the piglet. ”What should I name you? Look at you, with your snout so pink, the color of red bean paste... How about I call you Bunny?”

’I wonder if Ian will like this new pet! Looks like we’ll have one more mouth to feed at home.’

Watching the screen, Evan Fairchild’s brow furrowed deeply.

The competition finally came to an end. Shannon Paxton’s team took second place, Isaac Warren’s team took third, and Eileen Scott’s team came in fourth.

Eileen Scott’s team still had two carrots left to transport when the time was up. Since the other teams had already finished, there was no need for them to continue, and the competition was called to an end.

”I will now announce the results of today’s task.”

”Melody Monroe’s team remains in the lead, taking first place once again!”

”Shannon Paxton’s team came from behind to take second place.”

”Isaac Warren’s team is in third place.”

”And Ingrid Scott’s team is in fourth.”

”In other news, I have one more announcement. You all worked incredibly hard on today’s task, so the production team has booked rooms for everyone at a hot spring resort. You won’t be returning to the campsite tonight; you’ll be staying at the resort. Furthermore, the team has also prepared a lavish banquet for you! You now have two hours to get ready. Please attend in formal attire.”

”Yeah!”

The moment the announcement was made, the area erupted in cheers.

”This is great! We finally don’t have to go back to that campsite in the middle of nowhere!”

”Hot springs and a huge feast! I can’t wait!”

Melody Monroe’s mood, however, soured.

Because Evan Fairchild was staying at that very hotel.

’She wouldn’t even have to ask for time off now. But how was she supposed to sneak into Evan Fairchild’s room?’

Somberfell City had blown up in popularity because of Evan Fairchild’s appearance.

News had spread online that Evan Fairchild hadn’t left Somberfell City after his location was leaked. On the contrary, he had decided to stay.
