Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

”Pulled noodles.”

”Pulled noodles?” the group asked in unison.

”That’s right. Please follow me.” The person turned and walked to the side, where a table had been set up. On the table was a large work board with a ball of prepared dough resting on it.

”You just have to pull the dough into a ten-meter-long noodle to complete the mission.”

Upon hearing this, Shaun Owen got excited and said to Melody Monroe, ”Captain, this mission is easy! Even I can do it!” He pointed at the dough on the table—it was a huge ball. ’Forget ten meters,’ he thought, ’I could probably pull it to twenty, no problem.’

”It’s not that simple, is it?” Melody Monroe looked at the person in front of them and asked softly, ”Are there other requirements?”

”Of course there are! In our shop, every bowl is exactly four liang, the noodle reaches a length of twenty meters, and each bowl contains only a single strand. The dough you’ll be using is also four liang. You just need to pull it to ten meters without it breaking.”

”Pull a ten-meter noodle from a four-liang ball of dough, and it just can’t break?” Shaun Owen repeated, laughing awkwardly. ”I don’t think I can do this mission.”

A four-liang ball of dough was just a tiny thing in one’s hand, about the size of a steamed bun. It would be an achievement for them to even pull it into a strip! To pull it ten meters long was truly an impossible mission!

”Let’s give it a try!” Melody Monroe knew how to make some dough-based dishes, but she had never tried pulling noodles before.

A server brought over several aprons and handed one to each of them.

The camera focused on the group. In front of each person was a ball of dough.

Shaun Owen picked his up and gave it a pull, surprised to find that the dough wasn’t what he’d imagined. ”Whoa! This dough is so springy and elastic! It can stretch this far! Just a casual pull and it’s already a meter long!”

The others tried as well and found that it really could stretch quite far.

However, that one pull seemed to be the limit; it felt like the dough would snap with any more force.

Melody Monroe took the dough, kneaded it a little on the board, and then rolled it out into a long strip.

She had seen people pulling noodles on TV before. Copying what she remembered, she wrapped the dough around her hands and pulled with even force.

”Captain! You’re amazing!”

”Captain, you look like a pro! All our hopes are riding on you!”

Melody Monroe found it strenuous, but she still had it under control. She laid the pulled dough down, sprinkled some flour on it, folded it over, held it up with her hands, and pulled hard again.

”Go, Captain!”

The people watching the livestream saw this and flooded the screen with messages of encouragement.

Right now, the noodle was still as thick as a finger, but the part near her hands was clearly uneven—thicker on one side and thinner on the other, likely due to uneven force.

Melody Monroe quickly laid the noodle down and rolled it between her hands again.

”This is so hard!”

The others were also experimenting using Melody Monroe’s method, but their results were even worse.

Meanwhile, the other teams had also received their first missions.

Eileen Scott’s team received a puzzle mission. A picture was divided into four pieces, and they had to find four key individuals and complete the tasks they set in order to finish the puzzle.

They immediately split up to find the key individuals.

Shannon Paxton’s team received a gathering mission.

Isaac Warren’s team also got a creation mission: blowing sugar figures.

Eileen Scott ran through the streets for over ten minutes, feeling hot enough to explode, but she still hadn’t found any of the key individuals. She glanced back and realized the camera operator assigned to her hadn’t kept up at all.

That meant she wasn’t the one currently on the livestream!
