Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

Evan Fairchild was currently in Rockwellburg.

Though he desperately wanted to send Ian Monroe abroad—the kind of trip where he wouldn’t come back for a year—the boy was still his own flesh and blood.

Besides, he still needed to use his son to get on his wife’s good side.

So, no matter how busy he was or where he was, he would fly back at least once a week to spend a day or two with Ian Monroe.

Ian Monroe placed his homework in front of Evan Fairchild.

In truth, it didn’t matter to him whether his father came back or not. What he really wanted was for his mother to come back and be with him.

”What is this supposed to be? Are these English letters? It looks like a bunch of worms crawling across the page!” Evan Fairchild was extremely dissatisfied with Ian Monroe’s homework.

This was the first week Ian Monroe had learned how to hold a pen and write.

He wasn’t even four years old yet, so it was a bit early for him to be holding a pen. All week, he had just been practicing simple letters each day.

Faced with Evan Fairchild’s harsh criticism, Ian Monroe didn’t say a word in his own defense.

He also thought his writing was ugly, but his hand just wouldn’t cooperate. What he pictured in his mind was completely different from what ended up on the paper.

It was a source of great frustration for him.

’Mr. Fairchild may not be a very likable person, but he was right about one thing.’

’If I want to protect Mom, I can’t be useless!’

So, Ian was secretly working hard.

’Sooner or later, I’ll be even stronger than Mr. Fairchild!’

’When that time comes, Mom won’t need Mr. Fairchild to protect her anymore.’

Evan Fairchild finished checking all the homework. Aside from the ugly handwriting, he was very satisfied with everything else.

”By the time you’re seven, I expect you to be at the level of a domestic middle schooler. And you can’t fall behind on your lessons with the foreign tutor, either.”

”After you turn seven, you can choose for yourself whether to go abroad or stay here.”

Ian Monroe nodded. ’If I want to be strong, I have to learn more.’ With that in mind, the idea of going abroad no longer seemed so repulsive to him.

Suddenly, Evan Fairchild’s phone rang. A hint of secret delight appeared on Ian Monroe’s little face as he took a few steps closer to his father.

When he saw it was a phone call and not a video call, his little face fell in disappointment.

He had thought it was his mother.

”Alright, go on and play.”

Ian Monroe sighed.

Before, when the nanny was taking care of him, his mother would call and text him every day.

But now that Mr. Fairchild was looking after him, the calls and texts from his mother had become less frequent.

’So, there’s a good reason I don’t like Dad!’

In the study, Evan Fairchild’s expression was grim.

”President Fairchild, I’ve found the person! He’s with the production crew right now, working as Eileen Scott’s assistant! The Madam’s suspicions were correct. Rhona Hughes is still trying to make a move against her. There’s no way she would transfer someone to the show for no reason.”

”She told you not to tell me?”

”Yes. The Madam said she could handle this matter herself, but I didn’t dare to keep it from you.”

”See how she wants to handle it, and just follow her lead.”

”Got it,” Keith Coleman responded immediately.

After hanging up, Evan Fairchild clenched his fists, his knuckles letting out a series of CRACKS.

’The show has been filming for three days, and not a single message from that woman!’

He hadn’t planned on contacting her first, but only he knew how hard it was to hold back.

He had picked up his phone countless times, tapping on her profile picture, only to force himself to resist again and again.

’Forget it. So what if it’s a little pathetic?’

’Filming a live broadcast from morning till night must be exhausting. It’s understandable that she hasn’t contacted me or sent any messages.’

’She’s going to be my wife sooner or later. What’s the point of keeping score?’

...

”Pair of sevens!”

”Pair of tens!”

”Pair of aces! Captain, you in?”

”Hold on! Let me see!”
