Transmigrated as The Best Female Character of the Year

She stopped in her tracks, suddenly unwilling to run another step.

”What’s Melody Monroe’s team’s task?” she asked the crew member trailing her.

”I think it’s ramen.”

”Ramen? What kind of task is that? It’s completely mindless! Is the production team playing favorites? Everyone else gets to do their tasks in the air conditioning, while I’m out here searching for someone under this scorching sun!”

”Miss Scott, you drew that task yourself,” the crew member reminded her.

The crew didn’t want to be stuck with Eileen Scott, either. It was just their bad luck to be assigned to her team.

The atmosphere on Melody Monroe’s team was great, and there were no rumors of any arguments. It was nothing like their difficult situation, where they were constantly afraid of offending one of the celebrities.

This show was so popular right now; it could make any of the celebrities famous overnight. If that happened, it would be a disaster to get inexplicably attacked by their fans.

It wasn’t the first time they’d encountered something like this while working on a show.

One time, a celebrity who was unhappy with a crew member complained about it publicly. Their fans immediately ganged up to attack the crew member and even doxxed them! In the end, the production team caved to the pressure and fired that staff member.

Eileen Scott walked a few more steps before suddenly spotting a noodle shop with some of the show’s crew gathered outside.

’It couldn’t be Melody Monroe’s team, could it?!’

’What a coincidence! To run into Melody Monroe’s team here.’

’Just as I thought. They get to complete their task in such a nice place.’

Across from the noodle shop was a charming coffee shop with Mediterranean-style decor and flowers planted all around the entrance.

Eileen Scott headed straight for the coffee shop.

”Miss Scott, you’re still in the middle of your task!” a crew member quickly reminded her.

”I’m hot and thirsty. Can’t I get something to drink? It’s not like I’m the one on camera right now!” Eileen Scott snapped without looking back, pushing open the coffee shop door.

A bell hanging on the door chimed as she entered.

Maybe it was because the show was filming, but the small town was particularly empty today.

The coffee shop was empty, too, without a single customer.

Eileen Scott walked toward the counter, switching off the small, handheld fan she was carrying.

A server immediately walked over. ”Hello, ma’am. What can I get for you?”

”An iced Blue Mountain coffee.”

”Of course. Will that be for here or to go?”

”For here.” Eileen Scott glanced around and suddenly caught sight of a figure.

She took a couple of steps back to get a better look.

’What a handsome man! His profile alone was enough to captivate her.’

She took a few more steps forward for a clearer view.

The man wore a white shirt and black trousers—an outfit that could give off a completely different vibe depending on who wore it.

On some, it would make them look like a waiter. On others, like the man before her, it was different.

He exuded an air of nobility.

The white shirt was buttoned all the way to the top, right below his Adam’s apple, in a way that made one’s heart race.

Eileen Scott felt the man looked familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere before.

Suddenly, an image flashed through her mind. She immediately pulled out her phone and did a quick search.

The moment she saw the results, her heart began to race wildly!

’It’s Evan Fairchild?!’

’Is that really Evan Fairchild?!’

’What would Evan Fairchild be doing in a small place like this?!’

Evan Fairchild was focused on the noodle shop across the street. From his vantage point, he had a perfect view of Melody Monroe completing her task.

Just then, someone stood in front of Melody Monroe, blocking his view.

His brow furrowed, and he pulled his gaze away.
