Emperor’s Domination

It appeared as if the man’s serenity could calm the high heaven.

“An Ran, you’re here just in time!” Duality said.

“My battle is now.” An Ran nodded before striding forward.

He appeared invincible as he pushed his hand, splitting apart the ocean of tribulations.

“Creak!” The sky became exposed, revealing an unimaginable abyss.

The tribulations couldn’t surge back in place, blocked by the abyss. Something immensely heavy moved within the abyss, sounding like scales grinding against rock.

“Boom!” A monster crawled out of the abyss and only grew larger. It blotted out the high heaven and tribulations entirely.

“Damn, Octopus too?!” Duality shouted.

This creature had eight tentacles, dull gray from top to bottom like nebulous clouds born from the endless void.

“The legendary Octopus...” Immortals looked up and saw two green eyes.

How large was this octopus? A single tentacle’s suction could draw in any of the nine major worlds.

“Fighting for yourself or on behalf of the high heaven?” An Ran’s sharp eyes illuminated the dark creature.

The light allowed everyone to take a good look at the Octopus. There appeared to be dead abominations crawling on the surface, looking like revolting maggots on a corpse, endlessly squirming and devouring time and space. Anything near would die completely, consumed and turned into more maggots.

“Buzz.” The creature stared at An Ran before shifting its body, making way for him.

He ignored the octopus and continued onward, facing the full brunt of the tribulations above.

“I do not exist in the mortal world, Selfless...” He murmured before slashing vertically.

In this split second, everyone saw him disappear and could no longer remember him. Nonetheless, he pushed the tribulations back. The waves receded; although more still came, they were far weaker than before.

Someone awaited at the end of the ocean - a woman dressed in a white fitted attire, brimming with heroism. Her hair was tied up high, giving her a masculine appearance.

She was neither stunningly beautiful nor unpleasant to the eyes. Upon closer inspection, one could never get tired of looking at her regardless of the angles - ordinary at first glance but strangely extraordinary with time.

She held the spear of the high heaven, ready to deliver a fatal thrust.

“So it has come to this.” An Ran said: “Was your time in the mortal world worthwhile?”

“Very much so, unlike your visit.” She spoke.

“Who should be here then?” He smiled. His presence could dissolve anyone’s hostility, even the high heaven’s avatar.

“Him.” She did not need to name the person.

“Unfortunately, I’m taking the lead. I’m afraid that once Sacred Teacher makes a move, I won’t have the chance to act.” He said.

“Not necessarily.” She spoke with the mighty of the high heaven, capable of making cultivators drop to their knees.

“It is certain, but you won’t have the chance to face Sacred Teacher.” He smiled.

“Let us see then.” She raised her spear, seemingly unbeatable.

“I already know.” He raised one hand, having already comprehended the profound mysteries. He was now the mystery in control of the dao source.

After An Ran entered the sky, Octopus shrank smaller, wanting to withdraw to the abyss.

However, two immortals appeared out of nowhere. Those in Heavenrealm didn’t recognize the two but people from Three Immortals would. They were none other than Left and Right Splendor.

They held an ancient long-tubed lamp together. This was left behind by An Ran in Three Immortals and later came to Li Qiye’s possession.

“Release!” They shouted and opened the device.

“Boom!” A raging inferno burst from the lamp and entered the abyss, exploding like countless suns.

“You dare?!” Someone shouted in an inscrutable and ancient language.

The eruption illuminated the abyss. Overwhelming force oozed out, shaking Heavenrealm to the core.

A figure could be seen among the flames - An Ran. Everyone had forgotten about him at this point and didn’t recognize him.

“An Ran.” Duality Master was one exception and understood something immediately.

The weakened tribulations suddenly came back in full force, rushing into the abyss.

“Crackles!” It didn’t matter how vast the abyss was or all the hidden recesses, all were filled with lightning bolts.

“Bastard!” Octopus could no longer hide in the abyss and fled toward the unknown.
