Emperor’s Domination

“He wanted to forget you, thoroughly.” Li Qiye sighed.

“Ridiculous.” Skykiller jolted backward.

“This was the truth, and he did it.” Li Qiye said: “Forgetting is one of the hardest things to do, given the karmic ties. That’s why he chose to fight the high heaven for absolute annihilation, something rather difficult given his cultivation. Unfortunately, some blood and soul still fell to the world. At the very least, he obtained his ultimate goal, all of his memories of you disappeared.”

“Enough!” Skykiller shouted since this struck a sore spot.

“You know it is the truth. Black Dragon is right there, a true dragon blood originated from him with no hint of the past.” Li Qiye sighed: “During my research of eternal life, I came across this bloodline. He saved me from imprisonment and sent me back to my body, so I had a good understanding of the true dragon bloodline. It was pure and devoid of any past imprints.”

After a brief pause, he continued: “As for the soul, the memories were gone too. It started anew with only a will to fight the high heaven again, still a great dragon god in this life.”

“Shut up!” Skykiller shouted.

“I’m telling you about his reincarnations. If you still care, you should know. Otherwise, I can stop.” Li Qiye said.

“...” Skykiller trembled.

“True love for an immortal who had let go is one of the greatest karmic ties, virtually impossible to erase. It took incredible suffering to erase it.” Li Qiye said.

“Did he really forget?” Skykiller asked while clenching the spear tightly, nearly breaking it.

“At the very least, I never found anything in the new lives. An Ran didn’t find it either.” Li Qiye said.

“I see...” Skykiller murmured: “He forgot...”

After palpable anguish, he glared at Li Qiye and said: “Still only speculations from your part.”

“I had evidence, you can use Hidden Order or trace the bloodline from Black Dragon.” Li Qiye said.

Skykiller turned pale, unable to regain composure.

“Whatever you are feeling now, he felt a million times worse, to be betrayed by an eternal companion.” Li Qiye said.

“Raa!” Skykiller roared and released a blastwave stretching across Heavenrealm, damaging the rivers of time to everyone’s horror.

It took a while before Skykiller breathed in and said: “Let the past be the past.”

“If only forgetting were easy.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, difficult, but I cannot stop.” Skykiller looked up with determination.

“You insist on walking on an erroneous path?” Li Qiye asked.

“That is only from your point of view. I have done nothing wrong for the sake of my race.” Skykiller said.

“I see, it was just that the path you walked on is paved with everyone’s corpses.” Li Qiye said.

“What would you do in my shoes?” Skykiller asked.

“I am me, not a savior, just a mortal.” Li Qiye said.

“An incredible mortal.” Skykiller said.

“Yes, just a lowly mortal, and I will make the best of this short life.” Li Qiye said.

“Then why do you insist on killing me?” Skykiller pointed the spear at Li Qiye.

“Because our paths will cross eventually. The problem lies with you, not me.” Li Qiye smiled.

“There is no turning back.” Skykiller said solemnly.

“Indeed, I will keep walking until I am gone.” Li Qiye said: “Have you ever thought about leaving?”
