Emperor’s Domination

The surging golden powers originated from the source. Within was a woman meditating in a radiant aura. The light from her fused with the source, serving as fuel.

She wears an indigo dress, thin and mist-like in appearance. She was not gorgeous, only pretty with the gentle charm of a modest young lady. Her makeup was subtle, and she resembled a flower in the early morning—fresh, soft, and filled with the freshness of dawn.

The light made her appear transcendent like a goddess of the stars. It instilled hope into everyone’s heart.

“Young Noble.” She opened her eyes and stood up in excitement.

He sat down next to her and said: “You’re in a great state.”

“You gave me life so I do not wish to let you down.” She bowed.

He patted the ground, telling her to sit down.

“Why are you here, Young Noble? Has Ling’er not done a good enough job?” She asked.

“What could be better than lighting countless hearts with hope?” He shook his head.

“Fairy Ye helped me find this golden source and gave me the chance.” Ling’er smiled.

“You would have stayed and found this place regardless of Xiaoxiao.” He smiled.

“Right, Young Noble. Star mentioned sensing something more familiar and wanted to leave and start anew. Before the departure, I want to ignite as much hope as possible, and not just in this world.” She said.

“That’s a commendable thought.” He said: “You found yourself in this mortal world.”

“I don’t want to waste a single second of the life you granted me.” She said.

“Silly girl, your life is yours, not mine even though I purified your bloodline. All you need to do is chase happiness.” He said.

“I would rather live for you, Young Noble, you gave me the chance for happiness.” She said.

“You are the master of your fate, understand?” He grabbed her hand and said earnestly.

“Do you not want me, Young Noble? You were the one who brought me to this world.” She moved his hand toward her cheek and felt his heat.

“Then add value to your life and find joy.” He sighed.

“I will be happy for that is your wish, Young Noble.” She smiled.

He sighed and didn’t say anything else.

“Young Noble, Star will leave me soon, do you know what this familiar power is? It’s not something we can understand.” She asked.

“Maternal power.” He smiled: “The old man’s golden laws are connecting with a maternal power now.”

“I see, that’s why this place feels familiar too, it is easy for hope to surface here.” She said.

“It’s not only because of luck, karma also plays a part.” He said.

“Have you seen it?” She was curious.

“Yes.” He nodded.

“Fairy Ye said he found balance and will be leaving.” She continued.

“He’s been waiting.” He said.

“Are you here to meet him?” She asked.

“Yes, karma must be carried out.” He said.

“May I follow you afterward?” She asked.

“You have your own path, silly girl.” He smiled.

“My light of hope can definitely keep up.” She said.

“I hope so.” He touched her forehead with one finger.

Her light pulsed brighter as she realized something and said excitedly: “I can definitely do it, Young Noble.”

“Yes, after all, Star had sealed your body. It’s only natural that you can understand.” He smiled.

“Thank you, Young Noble.” Her eyes flashed happily like a spirit.

The two enjoyed their time together for a long while before Li Qiye entered another dimension.

Here, a glimmer of golden light flickered like the last afterglow at the edge of the world. Nonetheless, it could still illuminate all of Golden.

“I’m here, old man.” Li Qiye sat down and stared at the light.

The light manifested as an old man sitting back up. He instilled a sense of calmness even in those harboring unbearable hatred.

He held a golden scale capable of measuring karma. Anyone affected would be wrapped in their own karma like a cocoon. Any slight movement would cause karmic collapse and death.

“You are the only one who can perform this miracle.” He stared at Li Qiye and said.

“You are the final victor, always surviving.” Li Qiye said.

“Not necessarily, perhaps it is time for me to die.” He shook his head.

“Really?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Really. When I should die, I will, don’t try and keep me around.” He said.

“Then you already know.” Li Qiye smiled.

“My responsibility is law and order, I cannot be outside of them.” He said.

“Then why do you still try?” Li Qiye asked.

“Because I am the same as you. You have your ambition, and I also want to do certain things even though they shouldn’t be done.” He said.

“The price.” Li Qiye smiled.

“That’s why it is time for me to die, and I do want to die.” He laughed.
