Emperor’s Domination

“I will stay, leaving is unnecessary.” Skykiller said.

“Is your presence a blessing for your race?” Li Qiye asked.

“Our race will endure.” Skykiller’s hands trembled slightly but the tone was resolute.

“They would have endured either way, regardless of their reproduction problem. It is interference that will cause extinction.” Li Qiye said.

“Because of your interference, not mine.” Skykiller said.

“Don’t forget about Octopus, the villainous heaven, and many more.” Li Qiye said.

Skykiller didn’t respond.

“At your cultivation, you should have let go.” Li Qiye said: “Your blind stubbornness ruined everything.”

“As long as I exist, so will the divine beasts.” Skykiller said.

“I can just kill you today, the divine beasts won’t disappear because of it.” Li Qiye said.

“The calamity is coming.” Skykiller said.

“Nothing is determined yet. Why do you think your conclusion is correct?” Li Qiye waved.

“You have always been sure of yourself and your plans.” Skykiller uttered coldly.

“Yes, but my ultimate goal is to depart.” Li Qiye said.

“We merely have different goals.” Skykiller said.

“Which is why I want to kill you and you must kill me.” Li Qiye said.

“There is no other way?” Skykiller asked.

“Unless all of you decide to leave.” Li Qiye said.

“Why is it wrong to be attached? We were born here.” Skykiller said.

“But the attachment is not due to love.” Li Qiye said: “You all merely wish to maintain control. In your case, the divine beasts and Divine Firmament. Due to your obsession, they become your measure of value, an excuse to continue staying.”

“A justification.” Skykiller said.

“Face the self and depart from this world, that’s what we should do yet you dare not.” Li Qiye said.

“So long as there is life, there will be suffering. No matter how exalted you may be, you need to have a proper reason to live. Otherwise, misery will consume you.” Li Qiye said.

“What is your reason to exist then?” Skykiller asked.

“This world does not need me, so I won’t force myself upon it.” Li Qiye said.

After a long silence, Skykiller said: “Sir, that’s your unattachment, I do not agree, so a battle between us is inevitable.”

“I can kill you now and you will still exist, this is not all there is to it.” Li Qiye said.

“You...” Skykiller staggered backward.

“You have always been clever, who knows where you truly are? That’s why no one has been able to find Hidden Immortal after all this time.” Li Qiye smiled.

Some immortals listening noticed something while others were confused.

“Isn’t she right here? How is she going to escape?” One immortal wondered.

“Remember this well, I will kill you today and in the future, you will have the chance to kill me.” Li Qiye continued.

“You have peered into the future?” Skykiller asked.

“No, I cherish every moment of myself and the present. I just know that you will come to kill me.” Li Qiye shook his head: “Everything has already been decided because I wish to leave. Let us get started, today, you shall pay your debt.”

“Very well, you must keep your promise.” Skykiller said.

“Don’t worry, I will leave after killing you.” Li Qiye smiled.

“I am at ease then.” Skykiller pointed the spear forward and said: “Sir, please enlighten me.”

“You make the first move, or there won’t be a chance.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“You have traveled that far?” Skykiller asked skeptically.

“You are incredible, having refined the remnant soul to this level and reaching this height. Your true body is even more impressive, but regardless, you are no match for me.” Li Qiye said.
