Emperor’s Domination

Skykiller was a let-go immortal whose body contained incredible energies. Particles fell upon the twenty-four layers of Divine Firmament.

The land was already rich enough after many epochs. Now, its inhabitants enjoyed the incredible surplus. They closed their eyes and bathed in the rain of particles, feeling their body and soul being purified.

The old became younger, freed from their ailments and diseases. Cultivators harmonized with the dao and broke through to the next level...

The dragon servants, especially from the skykiller branch, felt something familiar.

“Your Majesty...” They knelt and said goodbye to the king, not the current corpse but what he used to be.

Previously, they didn’t know about his passing and couldn’t say goodbye. He had left behind his body and true fate to Phoenix Queen; outsiders had no idea.

Now, the body and soul have dispersed entirely. Someone wouldn’t be able to call his soul anymore, for it no longer existed.

While the dragon servants and inhabitants mourned Skykiller’s final death, the divine beasts lamented Phoenix Queen’s fate. In their eyes, she sacrificed everything for them.

“It’s over now. This is where the curtain falls for the divine beasts.” An immortal remarked since the race no longer had anyone to lead them.

“It’s over for everyone, the calamity is coming.” Another looked up at the sky.

This reminded everyone to look at the accumulating ponds of lightning.

“We have to go.” They shouted.

“To where? None shall escape, mortals or immortals. All worlds are doomed.” The immortal said, turning everyone pale.

“Let’s go and say our farewells.” One overlord said.

Unlike other realms, Divine Firmament had been intact for a long time. Thus, many overlords and immortals still had their lineages.

Furthermore, the dragon servants had great solidarity. Since death was inevitable, they might as well have proper farewells with their friends and loved ones.

Li Qiye entered Skykiller Palace and saw a dimension sealed with a unique method. Within was a peerless beauty frozen in place. Her bearing resembled a divine bird soaring in elegant flight.

He smiled and released the seal.

“Bam!” She fell to the ground and was ecstatic to see him: “Yo-young Noble, you’re here.”

“Isn’t that what you want?” He smiled.

She was none other than Xiao Yue, the current lord of Divine Firmament.

“Young Noble, it’s Phoenix Queen.” She regained her wits and warned him.

“No longer around.” Li Qiye shook his head.

This startled her as she said: “And Kun Peng’s group...”

“Same.” Li Qiye smiled.

She staggered backward in shock.

“I wanted to talk but they didn’t, so I had no choice but to kill them.” Li Qiye said.

She dropped to the ground, murmuring in a daze: “Then I’m the only one left.”

After returning to the palace, she tried to find the truth. The clues were all there once she opened her eyes to face it. The mastermind turned out to be Phoenix Queen who was supposed to be dead long ago.

Alas, it was too late to do anything, as Kun Peng and the others sealed her with haste.
