Emperor’s Domination

“Ancestor!” First-gen Chen smashed his forehead repeatedly against the ground.

He didn’t wish to die after spending eras slumbering to grow stronger. Dying meant losing everything, and committing suicide was even harder.

In similar circumstances, the impulse to take risks arose. They might think of giving it their all for a slim chance of survival.

All eyes were on him, wondering if he would deliver an ultimate blow. After all, he was strong enough to sweep through Old World. Such strength and patience - why would he commit suicide?

“Do it.” Li Qiye spoke again.

“Ancestor…” First-gen Chen turned ashen, aware of Li Qiye’s unchanging decision.

Now, he had one final decision to make regarding his inevitable death. Countless thoughts popped up in his head.

He wanted to survive more than anyone else. Thoughts such as exploding to kill everyone nearby surfaced. After all, why should he be the only one to suffer?

However, he decided against it. The outcome was determined with Li Qiye’s involvement; only the process had variations.

To try anything foolish meant prolonging his suffering to an unimaginable level. A swift death was the best outcome.

“I did not follow your teachings and let you down, Ancestor. A hundred deaths are not enough to wash my sin.” First-gen Chen bowed his head and said: “If there is a next life, I will cultivate the righteous path.”

Li Qiye did not grant him a response.

The hopeless First-gen Chen stood up and slowly raised one hand. It trembled dramatically because committing suicide required courage and decisiveness.

“Ancestor, I am truly sorry!” He roared his last words as he channeled dao power into his hand.

“Bam!” He struck his head while not activating any defense. It pulverized his body and true fate.

The bloody mist that was left of him dispersed with the wind, leaving behind a speechless crowd.

They didn’t expect him to accept his fate and go without resistance. Anyone else would have tried to fight. After all, death through battle was more valiant and acceptable.

The issue was they didn’t truly know Li Qiye. He showed leniency by giving the man a choice. Otherwise, he had countless methods to make him beg for death. First-gen Chen knew this was the only way to maintain a shred of dignity.

“He’s dead…” Many murmured.

First-gen Chen had an immaculate plan to feast on his descendants. Alas, he couldn’t escape this time.

He was far from a kind pushover, evident by his merciless cultivation method. However, he complied with Li Qiye’s order.

“Ahh!” Tenth-gen Chen erupted with a bloody light. He roared furiously and self-imploded into nothingness.

This startled all spectators because Li Qiye didn’t deliver a judgment regarding him. Moreover, he didn’t involve anyone or the land, only choosing to destroy his true fate and grand dao.

It took them a few seconds before digesting the reality of his death.
