Emperor’s Domination

The lake exceeded Crimson Virtue’s imagination. His group had speculated its size before because the Chen had done ten legacy processes.

The number couldn’t be small. Alas, they severely underestimated its scale. No one could accept this number of sacrifices.

“Ugh…” The stench of blood roamed free, causing many young disciples to vomit even bile.

They took pride in being members of the righteous leader of Old World. Their dao was noble and grand.

Although they heard of the sacrifices, they assumed it was only a few members each time - just ceremonial at best. Frightening and unsavory, yes, but not to an unacceptable level.

Now, it became apparent how ignorant and naive they were. The legacy process was built on millions of lives.

They couldn’t understand the willingness to participate. After all, the Chen had produced emperors and desolate gods. These beings had so much freedom yet still offered themselves.

“I don’t get it.” Outsiders didn’t understand why these cultivators wasted their potential willingly.

“Emperors and desolate gods are rare in each generation and only a few go on to become primal ancestors and heaven-slayers. Perhaps they truly believe they will come back in a different form, as an emperor, primal ancestor, or even an immortal.” An emperor said softly.

An incalculable number of cultivators lived in this world. However, the number of emperors and desolate gods could be easily accounted for.

This was a testament to how impossible it was for a random cultivator to reach the imperial stage. This applied to members of the Chen.

However, the legacy process gave them hope. Sacrificing themselves to become a part of the next successor. They became Tenth-gen Chen and Eleventh-gen Chen…

In other words, they existed in a different form, a higher form. This belief indoctrinated since birth drove them.

“It’s terrifying.” Everyone turned pale due to the lake.

“The Chen deserves this.” This became more of a consensus since their deviant path might be Desolate Frontier’s downfall.

They turned their attention toward a man meditating in the center of the lake. The veins of the tree were connected with him.

A humanoid shape above the lake - no, a person - was surrounded by blood, seemingly absorbing it. Tenth-gen Chen directed the blood into him.

“Ten-realm Emperor.” Others recognized him from the outline.

Others shuddered because they saw his execution not long ago. However, they felt the blood could somehow revive him.

“Is he coming back to life?” A disciple asked.

“We don’t know what will come back, definitely won’t be him.” Crimson Virtue’s group was creeped out as well.

They were familiar with how he suffered a true death. Reviving was impossible. Thus, this blood rite could only bring back an evil entity, not the emperor himself.

“The Chen’s so-called rebirth is done by taking another form.” Dragon-pill said.

“So like an animated corpse.” Solar took a deep breath.

“It’s a takeover, but I don’t know how it applies here. Ten-realm is already dead and can’t turn into Eleventh-gen.” Crimson Virtue shook his head.

“There’s another possibility. Tenth-gen will turn into Eleventh-gen while the revived Ten-realm turn into Tenth-gen.” Absolute Ancestor said with a serious expression.

“What the hell is this strange dao?” The group exchanged glances.

Due to their cultivation, they had a deep understanding of the dao. However, this bizarre method was beyond them.

Meanwhile, Tenth-gen Chen was anxious, wanting to revive Ten-realm since he needed a shift.

“It is time.” Li Qiye’s voice came again.

Tenth-gen Chen visibly panicked, unable to delay long enough.
