Emperor’s Domination

Cultivators always had traces of existence, especially the more powerful ones. This didn’t apply to the middle-aged man as if he had been untouched by the mortal smoke since birth.

This feeling was absurd. Those who could reach this transcendent level did it through cultivation. However, they were just normal beings at birth.

The only exception was someone born as an immortal. No one else could survive until now without being involved in the mortal world.

“Forefather.” Tenth-gen Chen was overwhelmed because the man was their clan’s origin. He couldn’t believe his own eyes.

His faith shattered because he realized something given his knowledge of the legacy process.

“First-gen Chen.” Absolute Ancestor and the others shuddered upon seeing him.

Other disciples exchanged glances of confusion. First-gen Chen was a mythical figure in the sect, the founder of a great branch.

They thought he was dead long ago but in reality, he has been living well beneath the lake.

The more powerful cultivators realized the crux of the issue. A man who should be dead was living right beneath the blood lake. This was no coincidence - First-gen Chen planned all of this from the start.

“Still alive.” Tenth-gen Chen fell to the ground. This was a worse blow to his mental state than the burning of the blood lake.

“Looks like you’re living well.” Li Qiye’s voice came from above.

“Ancestor.” First-gen Chen prostrated to everyone’s astonishment.

Tenth-gen Chen addressed him as a forefather while he addressed Li Qiye as an ancestor. Just how old was this supreme ancestor?

“I have strayed on the wrong path, how can I face you…” First-gen Chen shouted.

“No need.” Li Qiye interrupted, leaving him with an awkward expression.

Everyone was speechless since First-gen Chen was rumored to be older than their Desolate Ancestor. However, he was not worthy of meeting the new supreme ancestor?

Thus, those who had the privilege of seeing Li Qiye earlier were utterly moved.

“It has been eras since we last met…” First-gen Chen said softly.

“No.” Li Qiye refused.

“I have let you down with my inability, Ancestor.” First-gen Chen said with remorse.

“Inability aside, you plotted for millions of years. You know better than anyone the path you have chosen.” Li Qiye said.

“I only stumbled upon it by accident during the world’s collapse. An epiphany came to me, Ancestor.” First-gen Chen said earnestly with a slight tremble.

“Stumbled upon it, I see.” Li Qiye chuckled: “A natural development is when a whale dies, thousands rise from its corpse. As for your so-called stumbling, thousands die and one whale rises.” Li Qiye spoke.

“I have cultivated improperly and let you down, Ancestor.” First-gen Chen bowed his head.

“Improperly is not how I would put it.” Li Qiye said: “When the little girl cut down your tree, you already knew what you were doing.”

His voice was the ultimate judgment leaving no room for argument.

“I was a fool.” First-gen Chen didn’t dare to raise his head.

“She was merciful and sentimental.” He declared: “But I have neither.”

“Please forgive me, Ancestor, give me another chance.” First-gen Chen begged for mercy.

Others didn’t know how to describe this situation. First-gen Chen was a supreme existence in Old World but now, he trembled before the supreme ancestor. Was the latter an immortal or something more frightening?

Moreover, he referred to their progenitor as “little girl” - something no one else would dare to do.

“Why…” Meanwhile, Tenth-gen Chen regained his wits. His eyes became lucid and his courage returned.

People stared at him with sympathy but First-gen Chen ignored him, continuing to prostrate.

“He is your last descendant, you tell him the truth so that he can die with his eyes closed.” Li Qiye ordered.

First-gen Chen stood up. His expression changed continuously as he didn’t wish to reveal the secret.
