The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Junbie Pavilion.

A scene of reluctant farewell, tears scattered around the cool pavilion.

Song Zhiyu continuously wipes away the tears rolling down from the corners of his eyes, pouting, and internally curses himself, trying to pull himself together, nobody else is crying, what’s the matter with you, don’t you have any dignity?

But the truth is, these tears are unruly.

Niu Honghong’s eyes are also red, but his delicate little face is full of stubbornness, refusing to let the tears fall.

He is a man, the little Princely Heir of Prince Dingbei’s Mansion, the future inheritor, he bleeds but does not shed tears, he absolutely cannot cry.

However, he truly wants to cry; with his mother leaving, it might be many years before he sees her again.

“Mother.” As soon as he speaks, the tears also disobediently roll down but are quickly wiped away.

Niu Pan’er hugs him, kissing him repeatedly with red eyes, saying with a full face of reluctance, “Son, it’s your mother who wrongs you, I swear I will wait for our family reunion in the Northeast.”

Niu Honghong nods, “Mother, don’t worry, I’ll just cry this once.”

“Alright.” Niu Pan’er sees Song Zhiyu squatting on the ground and carries her son a little farther, saying, “Shen’er, your father is a delicate and weak one.”

Niu Honghong’s tears pause: “…”

My mother, it seems the word “delicate” is usually used to describe young girls, and my father is male.

But he turns to look at his own father, who is using a handkerchief to hastily wipe away his tears and snot, silently turning his head; fine, it suits his father too.

“Your father was pampered growing up, never having suffered hardship. Mother is actually most worried about him, afraid he might suffer losses or fall victim to plots. Later, with Mother not by your side, you need to look after him, don’t let anyone bully or deceive him.” Niu Pan’er glances at Song Zhiyu, full of reluctance, and asks, “If someone bullies him, what should you do?”

Niu Honghong thinks, Mother, haven’t you gotten the roles mixed up? I am only three years old, at most four or five when exaggerating, it’s a time when I need protection, yet you turn it around and want me, a little kid, to protect my old dad?

Alright then, my dear dad doesn’t grow up, his mind isn’t very sharp either, indeed He needs protection.

“Mother, don’t worry. If anyone lacks insight, I’ll use my status to suppress them, I’ll complain to Grandfather Emperor, someone is bullying us, a father-son duo without Mother by our side.” Niu Honghong clenches his small fist and says, adding in his heart, whoever dares bully us, I’ll obliterate them.

Niu Pan’er smiles and says, “That’s right, if someone bullies you, just go complain, complain to your uncle, complain to the Emperor.”

“Mm.”

“My son, your father doesn’t have ambition, it’s difficult for you, wait until your grandfather returns, and your father gets to the Northeast, you won’t have to toil so hard.” Niu Pan’er says while touching her son’s face.

Niu Honghong: “…”

So, I was an accident, you and Father are the real love, only thinking of him, not me.

Niu Honghong feels a bit closed-off.

Niu Pan’er looks at him, “Shen’er, with Mother not here these years, you must listen to grandfather and uncle, learn from their way of handling things. Our Prince Mansion of Dingbei will be relying on you in the future, including your father and me.”

Niu Honghong straightens his spine, nodding heavily.

He understands what the identity he bears represents.

“Shall I have a word with your father?”

Niu Honghong smoothly gets off her and walks to the side, then watches her walk to Song Zhiyu pulling him up, the cautious expression just like handling a treasure, making him shake his head.

His mother, in this life, is suffering because of his dad.
