The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Upon the release of the Imperial List for renowned healers and Poison Masters for Princess Consort Ji and Prince Min, there have been numerous individuals claiming to have great skills arriving in the capital. After thorough screenings, they are brought into the Prince Min Mansion for diagnoses. Nowadays, the Prince Min Mansion is bustling with activity.

However, whether they truly have the skills or are just looking for free lodging and meals is not easy to determine.

”...Usually, in such cases, some charlatans would show up. They might boast to the skies with just a smidgen of knowledge, and nine out of ten times, they are just there for freeloading and fame,” Song Ci said with a smirk, ”In my opinion, their medical skills might not even be as good as our Lin Qing’s.”

Lin Qing, who was just taking Song Ruqi’s pulse to prepare for her stay at her maternal home for the delivery, retracted her hand and smiled, ”In your eyes, I must be perfect in every way.”

Song Ci nodded with a smile, ”That’s right. In my eyes, you are unmatched. How’s this young girl’s pulse?”

Song Ruqi and Madam also looked at Lin Qing with anticipation.

Lin Qing smiled and replied, ”The pulse is strong and vigorous, the fetal heartbeat is very clear. This pregnancy is going well. If it stays like this for the next two or three months, I believe she will give birth to a healthy young boy.”

Madam was overjoyed to hear this, ”Doctor Lin, do you mean that Qi’er is pregnant with a boy?”

”I wouldn’t dare to confirm that it is, but the probability is higher.”

Song Ruqi was thrilled and looked at Madam with excitement, ”Mother...”

Madam held her hand, patted it gently, and her eyes turned a bit red.

If it’s really a boy, this girl has finally overcome her hardships.

”Don’t get too excited, be careful not to disturb the fetus,” Song Ci playfully chided, and asked Song Ruqi, ”Is your mother-in-law truly well now?”

It was initially agreed to bring her back to her maternal home to wait for the delivery after the Dragon Boat Festival, but it wasn’t until the end of May that she was brought back. The reason was that the Duke’s wife was ill, and as the daughter-in-law, she naturally had to stay at home to care for her.

Song Ruqi snorted lightly, ”Was she really sick? She just didn’t want me to return to my maternal home, so she pretended to be sick and wanted me to care for her.”

Madam immediately became anxious, ”You didn’t really serve her, did you?”

”Mother, do you think I’m foolish? I only brought her medicine twice, then claimed that my stomach felt uncomfortable and the fetus was unsettled. How could she dare let me serve her after that?” Song Ruqi said proudly, ”This is what is called having a step ahead for every scheme.”

Song Ci playfully pointed at her a few times, ”This isn’t a step ahead; it’s a shield.”

Song Ruqi pressed her lips and smiled, ”It’s all the same. Anyway, my precious is cherished. Even if she doesn’t care, my husband does.”

”As long as your husband cares, that’s good. As for your mother-in-law, treat her with respect, but don’t cross her openly. Otherwise, people might say you’re being unfilial and criticize you,” Song Ci advised.

Song Ruqi nodded, ”Grandmother, don’t worry. I’ll handle things sensibly. Now that I’m back at my maternal home, even the air seems sweet. Mother, you must nourish my body well.”

”Alright, everything according to your wishes.”

Lin Qing interjected from the side, ”Nourishing the body is good, but overdoing it daily isn’t wise. The fetus might grow too large, making childbirth difficult.”

Song Ci agreed wholeheartedly, ”Exactly, people always say a chubby baby boy sounds nice, but it can cause trouble for the mother during delivery. For your health, take it easy. Now that you’re in the late stage of pregnancy, walk a bit more every day to make delivery easier.”
