My father sold me to the Mafia King

Chapter 116

Robert’s point of view

Erik toyed with his golden ring and said with boredom:

”I want a new girl.”

I exhaled a long breath and told him clearly:

”Erik, you have slept with almost all the girls in the club... there isn’t a single girl left you haven’t tested.”

His smile vanished and was replaced by a provocative childish pout:

”You know I get bored quickly, Robert... I want a new one that no one has touched.”

I answered him in a decisive tone while feeling a tightness rising in my throat:

”I don’t have any new girls now.”

Erik straightened in his seat and leaned his body toward my desk until he was close, then he pointed his finger toward the door Julie had exited from a while ago, and said in a tone that triggered the dormant volcano inside me:

”Actually you do... the girl who was here a moment ago.”

My spine stiffened and I felt my back muscles tensing like a stretched string. I said in a tone that came through clenched teeth:

”That is my personal assistant, and not a girl for pleasure, Erik.”

Erik did not back down; instead, he leaned his elbows on the desk and said with the coldness of an expert trader:

”I will give you any amount you want in exchange for one night with her.”

”No.”

It was a single word, short and decisive as a sword’s edge.

But he insisted, his eyes gleaming with the spark of greed:

”Ten million dollars.”

”She is not for sale.” I said it while feeling the heat of anger rising to my cheeks.

”Fifteen million!” he replied quickly as if in a public auction.

I pushed my chair back with a force that made an annoying sound on the floor, and said in a booming voice: ”Erik, stop! I will not sell her to you even if you gave me all the casinos you own in Las Vegas!”

A heavy silence prevailed; Erik raised his eyebrows in bewilderment mixed with malice, then pursed his lips and muttered:

”Hmm... you have really piqued my curiosity, Robert. If you can’t trade her for all my casinos, that means she is very special.”

I tried to regain my cold mask, and loosened my grip with difficulty and said:

”No... she is a very ordinary girl, but I simply do not sell those who work for me... it’s just a matter of principle.”

Erik smiled a poisoned smile and said: ”Well, since you don’t sell your workers, your workers can decide for themselves, can’t they?”

I felt the flame eating my chest, and I leaned toward him warning with dark features: ”Erik... don’t get near my workers, I’m warning you.”

At that moment, the tension was interrupted by quick knocks on the door. Julie entered followed by the dog Axel, who was moving with agitation.

Julie said while panting lightly: ”Sorry for the interruption, but Axel is acting strangely.”

Axel ran toward me immediately, so I leaned down and stroked his head spontaneously to hide my anger, and whispered to him:

”Did you miss me?” I raised my head, and saw Erik’s gaze stuck to Julie like glue. I said, trying to send her away: ”Alright... leave him with me for a bit.”

Julie turned to leave, but Erik’s voice pierced the place like an arrow: ”Stop!”

Julie froze in her place and looked at him with wide eyes: ”Yes? What is it?”

Erik rose from his seat slowly, put his hand in his trouser pocket, and said in a provocative velvety tone: ”What if I told you that I would give you a large sum... a sum you can’t even dream of?”

I ground my teeth until I felt pain in my jaw, and roared warningly: ”Erik... stop!”

Julie looked at me then at him with clear confusion and said:

”I didn’t understand what you meant.”

Erik took a step toward her, tilted his head slightly, and said with complete audacity: ”I will give you a lot of money... in exchange for a night with you.”

Julie’s Point of View

I stood steady in my place, feeling a strange coldness coursing through my body; it wasn’t the coldness of fear, but rather that bitter immunity I had acquired in this place.

In a club where women’s bodies are sold every night, this ”Fox’s” offer stirred nothing in my soul but disgust.

Before I could open my mouth to respond with a shock befitting him, I glimpsed a swift movement from behind the desk.

Robert bolted from his seat like a volcano whose dam had burst, and rage occupied his features until they became completely dark.

In the blink of an eye, the blade of his black weapon gleamed, and the scream of the bullet rang out to tear through the room’s silence.

The sound of the explosion echoed in my ears, and Erik fell to the ground screaming at the top of his lungs.

My eyes fixed on the scene of the deep red blood that began to flow profusely from his thigh, as he gripped the wound, bewilderment enveloping his pale face.

Erik shouted in a voice wrung by pain: ”What did you do?! Have you gone mad, Robert?!”

Robert took heavy, rhythmic steps toward the body sprawled on the floor and stood over his head like the Angel of Death.

The hand that was still aiming the weapon did not shake, and he said in a cold tone that made my skin crawl: ”This time I hit your thigh... next time, I will make sure you are never able to use your dick again.”

Erik’s face paled further, while Robert turned toward me sharply; his eyes were still burning with sparks of rage, and he nodded toward the door, saying commandingly: ”Get out!”

I rushed out of the office, trembling in every limb, and I could hear nothing but the echo of Erik’s screams behind the closed door.

I ran through the hallway trying to comprehend what had happened; I placed my hand on my chest, which was almost exploding, and whispered to myself in bewilderment: ”Did... did he do all this for me?”

I shook my head violently as if I were trying to expel that naive thought from my imagination; I tightened my grip on the fabric of my red dress and muttered in a faint voice as I quickened my pace: ”Wake up, Julie... that monster certainly isn’t doing this for you.”

I stopped for a moment and leaned my cold back against the hallway wall, feeling a bitterness filling my throat.

Yes, the matter is too clear to be interpreted that way; only this morning he forbade me from even thinking about a relationship with any man, and what happened now is nothing but a confirmation of his desire to tighten the leash around my neck.

He is trying to turn me into a slave who owns even her breaths, and his bullet was nothing more than a scream of possession.

I gathered the remnants of my soul and decided to retreat to my room to escape the noise of my thoughts, but suddenly, a familiar body blocked my way.

I raised my head to find Olivia standing before me in an arrogant posture, placing her hands on her hips with a look dripping with venom.

A cold, provocative smile appeared on her lips, and she said in a mocking tone that shook the stillness of the hallway: ”Who do we have here?... The little sow!”

I didn’t grant her the pleasure of a response; I ignored her presence completely and tried to cross the hallway with firm steps, but she moved with lightning speed to stand as a barrier in my way again.

She tilted her head to the side and said sarcastically: ”What? Are you afraid?”

I exhaled a long breath while crossing my arms over my chest and looked into her eyes with coldness: ”No... but I want to go to my room.”

She didn’t move an inch; instead, she approached me until I smelled her strong perfume and said with a poisonous hiss:

”They told me Marcus was in your room last night... what did the two of you do behind closed doors?”

At that moment, I realized the game; someone had watched Marcus and delivered the news to Olivia, and she, in turn, didn’t waste a single second before blowing her toxins into Robert’s ear.

I looked at her with a deadly coldness and said: ”And why are you so interested in my affairs, Olivia?”

A hollow laugh came from her throat, and she scrutinized me with disdain: ”Were you playing the role of the pure girl whom no man touches, until we all thought you were the Virgin Mary?”

I raised my eyebrow with an indifference that drove her mad: ”And what bothers you about that, Olivia?”

Her eyes ignited with rage, and she asked me while trying to read my facial expressions accurately: ”Did you enjoy it with him last night?”

I decided to demolish her fortresses with her own weapon. My facial muscles relaxed into a cold, provocative smile, and I said with utter calmness: ”Yes... it was a very enjoyable night.”

Olivia’s features froze completely; her jaw dropped slightly and bewilderment was clear in her eyes, for she had expected an outburst or a desperate defense of my honor. She muttered in a faint voice while still under the influence of shock: ”Hmm... I didn’t expect you to confess so quickly.”

I approached her a little and whispered in a mysterious tone while she remained transfixed in her place: ”Yes... and by the way, tomorrow I am holding a gender reveal party... you are certainly invited.” Then I left her and continued my way toward my room.
