Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 1031: Chapter 1035: Keep Walking

She really wanted to take off her high heels, hold her computer in one arm, carry her high heels with the other hand, and walk behind him, regardless of how far or how long.

But she had to consider Beitang Yao’s image, she couldn’t ruin it.

Finally, Beitang Yao stopped walking, turned to Xia Qingqian, and asked lightly, ”Are you tired?”

Hmm!! Xia Qingqian wanted so desperately to nod and say yes, she was indeed very tired, but seeing the black lines spreading across his face, she had no choice but to give up, raising the corners of her mouth in a smile and shook her head saying, ”No...”

”If not, then keep walking.” As he spoke, he moved forward again, while Xia Qingqian inwardly cried out in misery, wondering if anyone could rescue her, she would be enormously grateful.

”How long do we have to walk?” Walking like this wasn’t a solution, she had to coax him into agreeing to stop the walk, she had to make him compromise first.

”I don’t know, just keep walking, always forward.” Ideally, endlessly, without an end, he wanted to see how strong this woman’s endurance really was, for her to walk this long in seven-inch high heels, enduring the pain while presenting him with a smile.

This woman was really quite foolish.

Did she think he would grant her mercy and spare her? He wanted her to walk until her legs broke, so that when she returned home, she wouldn’t have the energy to pacify that annoying little brat.

The more he thought like this, the more excited he became.

The sunset’s glow fell upon him, casting a faint halo around him, rendering his exquisitely carved features with a layer of mischievous yet gentle color.

”How long is that?” She really was about to reach her limit; suddenly, her feet felt increasingly detached from her, ”Young Master, could you walk a bit slower?” After all, it was a walk, there was no need to go so fast, so urgently, right?

”Why walk slower?” He asked as if he didn’t understand, but his heart was already softening with compassion, yet his pride held him back, letting the urge to have her continue suffering persist while he kept walking forward.

Xia Qingqian suddenly felt a bit foolish listening to Beitang Yao’s ’why walk slower’, her mind whirling, questioning herself: why was she enduring such a self-imposed hardship by matching each of his steps?

The answer was unknown, it was just natural to follow him; but she had the right to stop and not follow him too.

”Young Master...” She suddenly released her grip, letting go of Beitang Yao’s clothes, softly said, ”Since it’s a walk, you can stroll leisurely alone, as long as you like, I’ll sit here and wait for you to return...”

She truly couldn’t endure anymore, if she continued walking, her legs were going to break!

Beitang Yao was stunned for a moment, seemingly unable to believe she would suddenly stop, his heart stirred with an inexplicable bitterness, and he snorted coldly before continuing to walk straight ahead.

He had become accustomed to her clinging to his clothes, always walking forward, her dutifully following him, which allowed him to lay down the heavy stone weighing on his heart.

But half a moment later, she picked up that stone again, pressing it against his chest.

This damn woman could easily stir up all his emotions, it was really too troublesome, yet he didn’t want to admit these feelings!
