Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 1020: Chapter 1024: He’s Not My Child, So Why Should I Be Polite?

”Baby, don’t cry. Sister will protect you, don’t cry... Brother was just trying to scare you, he’s not really going to sew your mouth shut. Be good, stop crying, okay...” Xia Qingqian was about to break down. She had never taken care of a child before, and could only comfort the baby according to her own intuition.

A child should be kept away from the things they fear, especially when they are frightened, so the priority right now is to stay away from Beitang Yao. Perhaps the baby would feel better?

”Why are you crying? Do you really want it sewn shut?” Beitang Yao saw Mario completely leaning against Xia Qingqian, which inexplicably fueled the fire in his heart.

Xia Qingqian turned to look at Beitang Yao, frowned and said, ”I’ve taken all the blame, why are you bullying a child? Don’t you think it’s beneath your noble status? Getting angry over a child is not what I imagine the Young Master of Beitang doing.”

After saying that, she walked downstairs. The five-year-old Mario was a bit heavy, and she struggled while carrying him, heading toward the first floor, with Mario’s cries accompanying them all the way.

The butler and Maria, who were taking an afternoon nap, were woken up by the noise. Maria saw it was her own relative crying and knew exactly why, certain that once again the Young Master had bullied Mario.

Uncle Quan came forward, instructed Maria to fetch a clean towel, then personally wiped Mario’s face. The child was crying so strongly, covered in sweat, clearly frightened by the Young Master.

Seeing the Young Master also following down the stairs, holding his briefcase, Uncle Quan spoke, ”Young Master, you need to learn to communicate more with children.” His gaze fell on Xia Qingqian, silently observing that this girl truly had a connection with children, and believing her future children would surely be exceptional.

”He’s not my child, why should I be polite! Seriously, asking me to communicate with this little brat, maybe in the next life.”

”What if someday you have a child with the girl? Is this how you’d treat your own child?” Uncle Quan sat upright, impatiently lecturing.

”If it’s my child, I would give them the best things in the world, I wouldn’t tolerate a troublesome child like this!” Referring to children like Mario, suddenly remembering something, he frowned and said, ”Who said I’m going to marry this woman?”

This Uncle Quan really speaks nonsense. Doesn’t he know the nature of my relationship with her? He doesn’t love this woman, and without love, he wouldn’t value such a marriage, moreover, he wouldn’t marry her.

”I think the girl is suitable.” Uncle Quan asserted, ”The girl will definitely be a good wife and mother in the future. Young Master, you should seize the opportunity, truly don’t wait until you lose it to know its value.”

”Uncle Quan, drink more ginseng tea and talk less.” The anger on Beitang Yao’s face had dissipated considerably, but hearing Uncle Quan’s words brought another feeling, indeed uncomfortable. Why did the people around him constantly praise this woman, as if she had some magic power?

Is she really that good? If she was, why not marry a rich man, instead of selling herself here? He fundamentally disdained this kind of woman.

But then he thought, if he hadn’t met her and she had been bought by someone else, wouldn’t there be no connection between them?
