Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 1030: Chapter 1034: The Baffling Young Master

”Young Master,” she said lightly, ”Are you feeling nostalgic about the past? If Madam saw you like this, she would be very sad too. I think she would certainly want to see you smile and live a happy life every day, not with a frown.”

”You find it easy to talk about others but not yourself, right?!” Beitang Yao suddenly stood up. In just a moment, he reverted to his usual indifference. With his back to her, he said, ”My affairs are none of your business.”

After speaking, he stepped into the twilight, leaving Xia Qingqian behind looking bewildered.

Xia Qingqian stared blankly at Beitang Yao’s receding figure, feeling a knot in her heart. What was he playing at? She had just managed to muster some emotion, only for him to douse it like a cold shower with a single sentence!

What did he mean by that? Wasn’t he here to vent to her? Why did he end up scolding her instead?

Aaaaah!!!!

Truly inexplicable!!

”Young Master—” Xia Qingqian got up, holding Beitang Yao’s computer, and chased after him, ”Wait for me—”

Carrying that thing was really exhausting, and Beitang Yao’s one step was equivalent to her two, so she had to run to catch up.

When she finally reached his side, she hurriedly stretched out her hand, grabbing hold of his coat, gasping for breath, ”Young Master, please don’t walk so fast, okay?”

The amusement park was so big, how long was he planning to walk? He kept walking forward but showed no desire to stop, even though Xia Qingqian was tugging at his coat, asking him to slow down. He continued with his brisk pace.

She clung tightly to his coat, unwilling to let go, and he pulled her along as they moved forward, making her feel like she was being dragged.

She was like Beitang Yao’s little shadow, trailing behind him, her steps chaotic as she struggled to keep up, and he could still hear her disordered breathing.

”Young Master, where are we going?” Xia Qingqian saw Beitang Yao wandering aimlessly and thought he was heading somewhere specific. Instead, they were going around in circles.

”Just taking a casual stroll.” He casually replied to her question.

As expected, Xia Qingqian looked at his figure, gritting her teeth, really wanting to hack Beitang Yao into pieces and savor them with red wine, wondering how that would taste.

”And how long do you plan to stroll?” she asked softly.

”Until my mood improves. I’ll just walk until I feel better.” He spoke casually, not caring about her soaring emotions.

”Heh...” She was almost at her limit, letting out a soft laugh before continuing to pester him, ”Young Master, what’s bothering you? Talk about it instead of keeping it inside; it might make you feel much better.”

”Walking can help a person calmly think through things. You have to follow me.” Yes, he was saying that wherever he went, she had to follow.

...

...

A while later, Xia Qingqian tightened her grip on Beitang Yao’s hand by two notches, and the pain in her feet made her feel worse, making her almost want to explode.

”It’s been so long; is your mood any better, Young Master?” Xia Qingqian felt like her legs were about to give out, as if she had walked herself to exhaustion, especially in her seven-inch heels. Wasn’t this a walk to death?

She gently reminded Beitang Yao, hoping he would understand how difficult it was for her to walk such a long way with him, particularly in such high heels.
