Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Chapter 1024: Chapter 1028: So Beautiful

”Young Master, has it landed yet...?” Her voice trembled as she clutched Beitang Yao’s clothes, asking in a frightened tone.

She had a fear of heights, and sitting on this Ferris wheel made her truly uneasy. Her heart pounded, nearly exhausting her every breath.

”We’ve only reached the highest point, there’s at least another half-circle.” He decided to scare her a little, watching her curl up beside him like a kitten. He liked this feeling, her unintentional dependency satisfied his protective instincts.

”Boo-hoo!” Hearing that there was still half-circle left before they returned to the ground made Xia Qingqian panic. She leaned against him, sobbing softly. She wished she could have a thicker skin, so she could cling tightly to Beitang Yao until they got off the Ferris wheel!

But she was thin-skinned enough already, this kind of hug was her limit. She was still anxious that Beitang Yao might really throw her down.

”Sit up properly.” Beitang Yao shook his arm, nudging her to get off his body.

Xia Qingqian shook her head vigorously, refusing to leave Beitang Yao’s side.

”I’ll give you three seconds to decide whether to sit properly or be thrown off!” Beitang Yao began counting, and when he reached two, he felt her body lighten as Xia Qingqian moved away.

He turned to look, seeing Xia Qingqian clutching tightly to the cold handrail, her eyes shut tightly, sobbing lightly, ”Young Master...”

”It’s just a Ferris wheel, do you have to be like this?” Beitang Yao held back a laugh, speaking lightly, ”Open your eyes immediately!” Beitang Yao counted time in his heart; it should be about right.

”Mmm!” Xia Qingqian buried her head low, overwhelmed with unprecedented fear and panic, but under Beitang Yao’s urging, she slowly opened her eyes.

The moment she opened her eyes, she was stunned by the brilliant light ahead! Fireworks filled the sky, bursting forth in front of her, so dazzling and splendid that she immediately forgot where she was.

”So beautiful!” Xia Qingqian exclaimed in surprise, ”Yao, how did you know there’d be fireworks?” She cheered forgetfully, hardly realizing she called his name, a sound he found so pleasing to the ear.

”What did you just call me?” Beitang Yao smiled, eyes brimming with warmth, quietly watching her profile.

”Young Master.” She slightly turned her head, her face glowing with delight as she met Beitang Yao’s gaze. At that instant when their eyes met, her smile froze in the blossoming fireworks, time seemed to freeze too.

Because she saw a touch of warmth in the Young Master’s eyes, moreover... in those beautiful eyes, her image was reflected—she saw herself in Beitang Yao’s eyes.

Their gaze lingered in mid-air, deeply staring at each other, even the air seemed to freeze, making their breath tense. Beitang Yao stared unwaveringly at Xia Qingqian, her face radiating a gentle glow, shining brightly, causing his heart to tremble softly.

Xia Qingqian was momentarily stunned, only regaining her senses after a while, averting her gaze and focusing intently on the fireworks outside the window. The unintended eye contact with Beitang Yao made her heart race, if she glanced again, her heart might leap out!

Her mind was now clear; she knew where she was, yet she felt no fear at all, instead, indescribable feelings of affection surged overwhelmingly.
