Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Chapter 38: Chapter 36: What Are You Doing

Qin Yu moved swiftly and quickly went over to support Yin Qinghe.

At this moment, the master’s wife (师娘) had a pale complexion, looked fatigued, her delicate brows furrowed, and there was a trace of blood at the corner of her mouth.

Evidently, the recent explosion affected her fragile Spiritual Power.

Qin Yu glanced at the Alchemy Furnace.

The Alchemy Furnace Yin Qinghe used was undoubtedly much better than the one he used back then, both in material and overall quality.

However, at this time, the Alchemy Furnace had split open, with cracks all over it, and the Medicinal Liquid mixed with what seemed to be residue was oozing out of the crack.

Qin Yu’s eyes flashed with a hint of astonishment.

This doesn’t make sense.

With the master’s wife’s skills and techniques, how could purifying a Medicinal Liquid lead to an explosion?!

Moreover, the explosion caused such a commotion.

Could it be...

The master’s wife was performing Alchemy?!

”The master’s wife... failed in Alchemy?”

Qin Yu was completely shocked.

He wasn’t very clear about Yin Qinghe’s situation, but among the Alchemists in Lin Xian City, there didn’t seem to be his master’s wife.

Also, if Danxin Herb Hall had two Alchemists, it would undoubtedly be the top pharmacy!

But currently, Qin Yu couldn’t afford to think about all that. Alchemy failure leading to an explosion was not as simple as regular Alchemy.

Yin Qinghe was evidently very weak, and as she looked at the shattered Alchemy Furnace, her eyes seemed somewhat vacant.

Concerned about her condition, Qin Yu asked again, ”Master’s wife... are you alright?”

”I...”

Yin Qinghe slightly regained her senses but only murmured a word, and her brows furrowed even tighter.

Although the explosion hadn’t harmed her physically,

the shattered Spiritual Power still left her with a splitting headache, unable to stand up. Just as she was about to speak, a sharp pain surged through her.

The curvaceous figure beneath the loose robe became soft and weak, leaving Qin Yu barely able to support her.

One of Yin Qinghe’s jade-like hands pressed against her forehead, her fair and smooth skin showing no sign of age. She couldn’t be bothered with these concerns now.

The recurrent sharp pain between her brows reminded her that her Spiritual Power might have suffered some trauma due to her reckless actions!

Thinking of this, Yin Qinghe’s complexion turned even paler.

Alchemy failure, the explosion – these losses she could endure!

But if her spirit suffered injury, given the current situation of Danxin Herb Hall, it would undoubtedly make things worse!

Indeed.

She would never become an Alchemist in her lifetime.

In fact, Yin Qinghe also clearly knew her own limits, but the recent events had put her under tremendous pressure.

She felt suffocated to the extreme, wanting to do something to save Danxin Herb Hall!

But the harsh reality hit back with an explosion...

The pain from the Spiritual Power backlash made Yin Qinghe suddenly feel so tired, her vision darkened, and all the grievances and hardships poured out like a breached flood at this moment.

Her peach blossom eyes became tearful.

”I... really can’t hold on anymore.”

At this moment, Yin Qinghe was just a wounded woman, shedding all her stubbornness and coldness, just wanting to express her grievances.

Whether it was a state of grogginess or not, she actually softly leaned into Qin Yu’s embrace, still murmuring, ”I’m really so tired... so tired.”

After the master’s wife completely leaned into his arms, Qin Yu’s nose caught the scent of medicine along with a fascinating fragrance, and with the soft jade in his embrace, even with his firm character, he couldn’t help but shiver.

Did the beautiful master’s wife mistake him for... the master?!

This cannot be casually assumed!

Qin Yu dared not disrespect this master’s wife. If she woke up and held him accountable, he’d be in trouble.

Qin Yu wanted to support her by the waist, intending to find a place for her to sit first. Otherwise, when the master’s wife woke up to find her disciple holding her, what would that look like?!

To do so, it naturally required some strength.

Mind you, although the master’s wife’s robe was loose, the fabric was of excellent quality – smooth, possibly ice silk.

The texture was superb!

Qin Yu’s movements were very slow, fearing he might hurt her.

When he half stood up, the master’s wife’s body still leaned feebly into his chest, and due to the overly smooth fabric, his hand inexorably slid to...

The master’s wife’s little watermelon.

The current position was Qin Yu standing behind her, with his hands supporting the master’s wife’s watermelons from behind, reaching forward.

Almost instinctively, his palm slightly contracted.

Hiss!...

Soft.

Springy.

Smooth.

Varied sensations surged in Qin Yu’s heart, causing part of his body to tense instantly.

”Hmm?”

Yin Qinghe, in her confusion, slightly regained her senses and raised her puzzled eyes to Qin Yu, ”You...”

”Master’s wife, I was just trying to help you sit down.”

Qin Yu hurriedly explained and was about to release his hand, but she slumped weakly into his arms as she was about to fall, so he quickly supported her, and as a result...

If earlier he held her.

Then now he gripped her.

Due to the worry of her falling, he applied a bit more force.

This was indeed...

Awkward it was.

But the sensation from his palm caused Qin Yu almost to lose composure.

”Hmm!...”

Yin Qinghe let out a faint moan, whether from pain or something else, she continued to frown, still in his embrace, slightly raising her head and looking at him, ”You... what are you doing?”

”Master’s wife, let me explain.”

Qin Yu showed a bitter smile.

Well, just after a few days of good times, it seems he’s about to be expelled.

But he truly didn’t do it intentionally!

He was sincerely concerned about the master’s wife.

”You... returned?”

Yin Qinghe seemed not completely sober, her eyes were still hazy, and she uttered a dreamlike sound.

”Uh...”

(”▔□▔)

Qin Yu realized that the master’s wife might have mistaken him for the master, and hurriedly said, ”Master’s wife, I... I’m Qin Yu, not the master!”

”Qin Yu?”

Yin Qinghe’s blurry eyes gradually cleared, and her vision became focused, ”It’s you.”

Instinctively, she attempted to stand up by herself.

”Hmm.”

With a soft hum, Yin Qinghe’s brows furrowed even more.

The injury seemed more severe than she thought, leaving her devoid of strength.

This was undoubtedly her weakest moment, with her Spiritual Power and energy completely exhausted due to forcibly performing Alchemy, rendering her utterly defenseless.

”Master’s wife, are you okay?”

Qin Yu’s voice, filled with concern, slightly reassured Yin Qinghe. As the pain in her brow eased slightly, she managed to open her peach blossom eyes again.

With her gaze lowered, she directly saw the hands upon her watermelon, and immediately, she seemed to freeze.

After a while, a voice squeezed from between her teeth escaped her lips, ”You... still not letting go?”

”Uh.”

Qin Yu quickly withdrew his hands, and unsurprisingly, the master’s wife’s body slipped down due to the lack of support from his palms.

When a person is about to fall, they’ll instinctively grab something to stabilize themselves.

It’s a reflexive reaction.

Yin Qinghe did the same.

Like someone about to plummet off a cliff, grabbing the edge’s branches.
