Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Chapter 5: Chapter 3: Gaining Flame Point Again

Although Lin Qianqian was also hungry, she still ate in small bites, while her younger sister Lin Shuishui gobbled down her food quickly.

When Lin Qianqian tried to give the meat from her bowl to her sister, Lin Shuishui firmly refused, saying, ”Sis, you eat!”

Qin Yu was a little surprised.

What a considerate little foodie, she even knows how to care for her big sister!

After they finished eating, Lin Qianqian obediently started tidying up, and Lin Shuishui also helped by sweeping the floor.

Qin Yu originally thought they’d been through too much today and wanted them to get some proper rest, but both girls were very insistent.

The room wasn’t big, so Qin Yu could only sit cross-legged on the bed.

Strange.

Obviously, Lin Qianqian’s Romantic Point had increased, and her emotions had fluctuated quite a bit. So why hadn’t he gained any Flame Point?

As he pondered this, after letting her sister rest in the side room, Lin Qianqian brought a basin of water, saying she wanted to wash his feet.

Qin Yu refused.

He really did refuse.

But in the end, he still couldn’t win against Lin Qianqian. She stood by the bed, making it clear she wouldn’t give up until she got her way.

”╮(￣▽￣”)╭”

Qin Yu could only go along with her wishes.

It seemed that, in Lin Qianqian’s eyes, this was the only thing she could do for Qin Yu.

She crouched down.

Even though she had already made up her mind, the moment she held Qin Yu’s foot in her hands, that intimate contact with the opposite sex still made her small hands tremble obviously, her face flushing rosy, her eyes flickering like the surface of a lake beneath the moon.

Qin Yu sat on the bed, looking down upon the girl crouching in front of him.

Perhaps from tidying up the room just now, delicate beads of sweat glistened on Lin Qianqian’s cheeks, reminiscent of morning dew kissing flower petals. Several messy strands of hair clung playfully to her face, which not only didn’t mar her pure beauty, but instead added a touch of unintentional softness and fragile charm that made people feel a natural tenderness for her.

She did look a little thinner, but in some areas she was gifted by nature. Crouching made her look even more outstanding, those curves nearly leaping into sight.

From his current vantage point, following her stretched collar, Qin Yu could clearly see that striking expanse of...

White.

And feeling the girl’s soft, boneless hands holding his foot, he couldn’t help but feel his heart flutter and blood rush upwards.

No wonder so many people like to get their feet washed.

Of course, he’d never been to that kind of place!!!

But now, a girl whose looks and temperament surpassed even goddess-level beauties, was earnestly and meticulously washing his feet.

This feeling really couldn’t be put into words.

After she finished, Lin Qianqian dried his feet, then carried the basin away.

”Whew!”

Once she left, Qin Yu finally let out a breath, wanting to straighten his robe but realizing the reaction was still very obvious and hard to calm. So he pulled the blanket over himself.

Clearly, he was already a cultivator, yet still just a mere mortal at heart.

Maybe it was also because Qin Yu’s mindset had changed.

In the past, he’d focused solely on cultivation and never thought about these things, but now, under Lin Qianqian’s soft little hands, he nearly lost control like a bursting dam...

It was almost impossible to stop.

Just washing feet, that’s all.

Even Qin Yu himself felt his face go red.

This girl called him ”Uncle,” so how could he, how could he possibly...

Might as well pretend to be meditating in cultivation.

When he opened his eyes again, the sky had already darkened. There was no sign of Lin Qianqian or Lin Shuishui in the room—they must both be in the little side room.

Qin Yu simply got up, took a quick bath, and lay back down on the bed.

Scenes from today replayed in his mind.

Though taking in Lin Qianqian and Lin Shuishui was rather impulsive, even if he could do it all over again, he’d do the same.

The only less-than-perfect part was, he still hadn’t figured out how to increase his Flame Point.

Emotions?

Did he have to do something that made Lin Qianqian extremely emotional?!

Half-asleep, Qin Yu felt the blanket lift at the corner, then a cold body slipped into the covers and hugged close to him.

”Who is it?”

It wasn’t that Qin Yu wasn’t vigilant, but after all, this was inside his own room. He flipped the blanket to see the girl curled up beside him.

”Qianqian?”

It was Lin Qianqian.

Because their bodies touched, Qin Yu could clearly feel the girl’s body trembling slightly; she buried her head against Qin Yu’s chest, eyes tightly shut, her small hands clenched tight.

Most importantly, when she slipped under the covers, Lin Qianqian had already changed into a new, moon-white outfit.

Hiss! ...

Twice single in two lifetimes, Qin Yu almost couldn’t hold back, but still asked, ”Qianqian, what... what are you doing?”

”I... I... want to thank Uncle Qin.”

Lin Qianqian’s voice was very soft, obviously trembling, and though her eyes were shut, her long eyelashes kept quivering.

Clearly, she was extremely nervous at this moment!

But maybe this was the best outcome she could imagine.

Offering herself to Qin Yu in exchange for his care for her sister, allowing her sister to become a cultivator.

The moment she said this, Qin Yu’s passion instantly ignited.

If he kept pretending at this point, that’d be... a bit too fake!

He asked in a low voice, ”Qianqian, have you really thought this through?”

”Mm!”

Suddenly, Lin Qianqian stopped shaking. She slowly raised her gaze from Qin Yu’s embrace, those clear spring-like, pure eyes seeming to wash away all the dust of the world, now shyly gazing up at Qin Yu.

Her face was like a newly blossomed lily—fresh and untarnished by the world. Every inch of her skin glowed with a gentle light, making anyone who saw her feel tender affection.

She parted her lips lightly, her voice as soft as a whisper, hesitant, ”I hope... I hope Uncle can... cherish Qianqian.”

Boom!

Qin Yu could no longer hold back. He swept the girl into his arms.

To hell with all that ”Uncle” talk!

Right now that was completely forgotten.

”Mmm! ...”

Soon after, a cry of pain sounded from under the quilt.

...

[Here, 2,834 words are omitted.]

...

In the darkness, a tiny flame like a candle in the wind suddenly flickered and swayed, outlining a few red threads in the space, binding Qin Yu and Lin Qianqian together.

Yet, the two of them seemed completely unaware of all of this.

”Uncle!”

When Lin Qianqian called out to Qin Yu, the flame seemed to absorb something.

[Emotion Point from Lin Qianqian +1]

[Flame Point: 2]

Two lines of text abruptly appeared within Qin Yu’s perception.

”Hmm?!”

Qin Yu was just about to comfort Lin Qianqian in his arms when he saw these two lines of text, making his eyes light up at once.

[Flame Point: 2]

[Lin Qianqian Romantic Point: 5 (Initial Acquaintance)]

[Cultivation: Qi Refining Second Layer (18%)]

[Root Bone: Lower Grade Mortal Bone (Flame Point 2/10)]

[Spiritual Power: Beginner (Flame Point 2/10)]

He’d finally gained another point of Flame Point!

This time he saw it very clearly.

Sure enough, it was by absorbing Lin Qianqian’s Emotion Point that his Flame Point had increased.

And that moment just now seemed to be...

Looking at the girl in his arms, Qin Yu seemed to understand, but didn’t dwell on the flame, choosing instead to comfort Lin Qianqian.

He comforted her for a long time.

Perhaps because she felt Qin Yu’s earnestness.

[Lin Qianqian Affinity: 10 (Initial Acquaintance)]
