Chapter 29: Chapter 27: The Senior Sister’s Misunderstanding

Zhao Mengli has good talent and comprehension, but she falls short in teaching and imparting knowledge.

The main issue is she cannot accurately express the feelings she understands.

After gesticulating for a long time, Qin Yu was still puzzled, and his mind became even more chaotic.

Seeing his gradually bewildered expression, Zhao Mengli’s face flushed slightly. Knowing it was her problem, she stood up directly, ”Ah, I’ll go get my father’s insights for you to read yourself.”

”Please wait here for a moment...”

The young girl said, and with lotus-like steps, she floated away like a beautiful butterfly.

She walked towards a tightly closed quiet room, and soon the sound of a treasure chest being unlocked was heard.

Moments later, Zhao Mengli stepped out from behind the door with a somewhat old and faded scroll in her hand.

”This scroll contains the essence and insights of my father’s lifetime of alchemy; every word is a gem, extraordinary. Junior Brother, you must swear to me that the contents of this will be treasured and never lightly shared with outsiders!”

Her eyes held both reverence for this insight and inexplicable trust towards Qin Yu, though she still wondered why her mother trusted this newly admitted junior brother so much.

Until now, apart from her mother, she was the only one who had read it fully.

Could it be... that her mother no longer regarded him as an outsider?!

How could he truly become one of them?

Could it be...

The young girl didn’t know what she was thinking. When she looked at Qin Yu again, her face turned slightly red, and she, who was originally very composed, suddenly became a bit unnatural.

She even couldn’t meet Qin Yu’s eyes and deliberately avoided his gaze.

Qin Yu, with a solemn expression, respectfully took it from her hands with both hands, ”Rest assured, Senior Sister, I will not share it with others!”

As for Zhao Mengli’s sudden change, although he was puzzled, he dared not ask or think about it.

”Junior Brother, take a look first. If you encounter anything you don’t understand, you can ask me.”

Zhao Mengli hurriedly ran to her place to sit down, her steps with a hint of panic, somewhat avoiding him.

But after sitting down, she couldn’t help but secretly lift her eyes to look at Qin Yu...

Only to see Qin Yu holding the scroll like a treasure, fully immersed in it, seemingly unaware of her presence.

For some reason, the young girl felt a bit lost.

...

Of course, Qin Yu didn’t know what kind of mental journey his senior sister had gone through.

His gaze fell on the scroll, carefully pondering its contents.

Master Zhao’s notes were very detailed, starting from alchemy, explaining every little step thoroughly.

Starting with using spiritual power to create fire...

Only then did Qin Yu realize that using spiritual power also involved technique.

Then came fire control.

A qualified alchemy apprentice must first learn fire control.

Qin Yu knew the truth about biting off more than one can chew, so he watched and began to practice simultaneously.

Only through practice can one understand the gap.

Firstly, when using spiritual power to create fire, the spiritual power should begin to gather momentum within the meridians in the body, so the flame produced will be more intense, and the temperature higher.

Although it was his first time gathering momentum, the temperature of the flame emitted indeed significantly increased.

This enhanced the speed of refining herbs and saved spiritual power simultaneously.

Just one more technique of gathering momentum achieved a double benefit.

Qin Yu watched, fully absorbed.

Next was the second step, purification.

This step gave considerable details on how better to use and control spiritual power.

The efficiency of purification depends on two factors...

Firstly, the strength of the spiritual power.

Secondly, the use of spiritual power.

Qin Yu’s previous way of using it was all intensity, no technique.

However, enhancing the strength of spiritual power relies entirely on personal comprehension and talent, making it very hard to elevate. Even Master Zhao had just entered the High Tier.

The use of spiritual power, however, can be improved through years of practice.

Master Zhao’s experience is extensive, explaining not from the perspective of towering skyscrapers but deeply from a novice’s viewpoint and level.

If Mistress Yin Qinghe was teaching Qin Yu how to use spiritual power as a ’blade’, then what is recorded in this scroll is how to hone his blade.

The next essential points are about how to weave the net, how to maneuver at each twist and turn, and how to adjust spiritual power with exquisite techniques...

Qin Yu, feeling an insight, couldn’t help but want to try it!

As he was engrossed in it, Senior Sister Zhao Mengli at some point sidled next to him to watch as well. The soft warmth of the young girl’s body, interspersed with the faint fragrance of gardenias, filled the breath, creating a charming scent.

It must be said, this senior sister is indeed naturally beautiful.

She has some of Mistress’s allure, along with the sweetness and loveliness of a young girl. Most importantly, she is not overly concerned with minor details. Upon entering the alchemy room, she kicked off her shoes, boldly exposing her delicate pink feet.

Qin Yu never considered himself a fetishist.

But seeing such beautiful feet in front of him, he couldn’t help but be drawn by them.

It was at this time he realized.

It turns out... he is just an ordinary person who appreciates beautiful things.

Zhao Mengli, although later perceiving it, noticed his gaze, and immediately covered her beautiful feet, scolding, ”Junior Brother, what are you looking at?”

”Ahem.”

Caught in the act by his senior sister, Qin Yu couldn’t help but blush.

Considering how mature he is, he unexpectedly ended up peeking at a young girl’s...

He felt ashamed of his actions!

As he was about to reflect on himself, Zhao Mengli mentioned, ”Junior Brother, having read the insights, have you gleaned anything?”

”This... I understood some.” Relieved that she changed the topic, Qin Yu sighed with relief.

”Then give it a try!”

”Alright, please guide me, Senior Sister!”

Qin Yu took a deep breath, steadied his mind, concentrated, and extended his spiritual power following the description in the insights.

He did not rush to coalesce the net.

After extending spiritual power, if it is unified, it’s easy to control. Qin Yu previously manifested his hand like this; simple but inefficient for medicinal liquid purification.

However, splitting the spiritual power into several parts, dozens or even hundreds, naturally increases the difficulty exponentially.

Qin Yu began to increase it slowly.

One, two...

By the time it reached ten parts, he felt somewhat strained, a sense of trying to care for the head but neglecting the tail.

”There’s no shortcut to controlling spiritual power, only through relentless practice can one gradually enhance...”

So, Qin Yu began practicing.

Sharpening the axe will not delay the cutting of firewood!

Watching him steadily get on track, Zhao Mengli was amazed at his comprehension and began her own tasks.

While the two were absorbed in their respective activities, the atmosphere in the main hall of the Danxin Herb Hall was intense.

Yin Qinghe sat upright in the hall, and in front of her was the Guard Captain of the City Lord’s Mansion, Li Su.

He was tall and powerfully built, with a strong presence.

On the other side, a lean man in a luxurious deep blue robe, his hair and beard turning white, leisurely sipped tea. This was the Foundation Establishment Great Cultivator, Cheng Yi.
