Cultivation: Starting from a Mortal Bone

Chapter 12: Chapter 10: Not Appropriate, Not Appropriate

Morning.

Lin Shuishui woke up in the small compartment.

She was still indignant about what her sister said yesterday.

”Why does my sister say I can’t do it!”

Lin Shuishui considered herself very clever!

She had long noticed that every time Qin Yu finished making medicine, instead of relieving fatigue, he actually looked even more tired the next day!

Yet her sister said she wanted to give brother-in-law a good massage to relax him!

The more she massages, the more exhausted he gets!

How exactly is she massaging?

And she has the nerve to say Lin Shuishui can’t do it? She might as well try doing it herself!

Not only that.

At night, half-asleep, she always heard her sister making sobbing-like sounds, very quiet, very low, but just like... when they were young, being scolded but not daring to make a sound!

”Strange, sister is giving brother-in-law a back massage, why is she making noises?”

”It must be that her technique and posture didn’t satisfy brother-in-law, and he scolded her!”

With this thought, Lin Shuishui kicked off her jade-like legs and got out of bed.

She made up her mind.

She was going to give brother-in-law a try with her massage, surely it would relieve his fatigue!

So, regardless of her sister’s warnings, Lin Shuishui tiptoed out of the small compartment.

Perhaps because of last night’s fatigue, Qin Yu and Lin Qianqian had not yet woken up.

Even when sleeping, the little wife clung tightly to him, as if afraid he would run away once she let go.

After confirming they were still asleep, Lin Shuishui’s beautiful eyes curved into crescent moons, afraid of making a sound, her pair of pink, plump jade feet were yet to wear shoes.

Then, she approached the bed from the foot.

Half-asleep, Qin Yu felt someone massaging his shoulders.

Initially, he didn’t pay much attention, but when the shoulder massage turned into a back massage, strands of hair fell on his face, tickling him. He thought it was Lin Qianqian and didn’t want the little wife to exert too much, so he casually pulled the person massaging him into his arms.

Sleepily, he felt the person in his arms gently struggling, seemingly wanting to break free from his embrace.

”Don’t go, sleep!”

He tightened his arms, habitually snuggling closer...

Among the smooth strands of hair was a pleasant fragrance, somewhat jasmine-like, faint yet lovely.

”Hmm?”

Qin Yu blinked slightly, sensing something wasn’t right. He sniffed again and then, puzzled, opened his eyes.

Looking down.

He saw a rosy, shy face.

”Shuishui?”

He was about to ask, but the girl frantically stretched out her hand to cover his mouth, then hastily withdrew her jade hand.

Lin Shuishui hadn’t anticipated that she merely intended to give a back massage, yet suddenly found herself being taken into brother-in-law’s embrace, with her sister sleeping right beside them.

How could this be?

If her sister found out...

What a disaster that would be?!

So, she thought of covering Qin Yu’s mouth.

”Brother-in-law, I, I...”

Looking at Qin Yu’s astonished face, feeling the strong masculine breath blowing on her jade-ceramic face, it was like the autumn wind rippling over a lake.

She was flustered.

Her shy, coy expression truly was... tempting enough to want a taste.

”Hmm?”

Noticing something unusual, Lin Shuishui suddenly furrowed her brows, then...

Hiss!

This was really life-threatening.

”Shuishui, let go quickly.”

Qin Yu took a sharp breath and seeing her still confused face, said, ”Wait, your sister might wake up.”

”Oh oh.”

Lin Shuishui hurriedly let go, scrambling out of the covers noisily enough to wake Lin Qianqian.

Lin Qianqian, rubbing her sleepy eyes, saw her sister at the foot of the bed and snapped awake, ”Shuishui, why are you here?”

”I, I...”

Lin Shuishui looked guilty but quickly realized this wasn’t right!

She came to bravely prove her massage skills were better than her sister’s!

Besides, she wasn’t in the bed anymore, why should she be afraid?

So Lin Shuishui gathered her courage.

”Sis, don’t try to fool me! I know everything!”

”You say I’m no good! But clearly, every time you finish massaging, brother-in-law ends up even more tired! Your technique is awful!”

Saying this, Lin Shuishui turned to Qin Yu, playfully pouting, ”Brother-in-law, let Shuishui try it!”

”Ahem!”

”Not appropriate, not appropriate!”

Qin Yu, being a cultivator, almost choked on his own saliva, repeatedly refusing.

Lin Qianqian hesitated, recalling her brief absence last night, shyly lowering her head.

It really was the more she massaged, the more tired he became.

”Also, brother-in-law, even if sister doesn’t do well, you shouldn’t hit or bully her!”

Qin Yu was confused: ”Your sister didn’t do any... wait, how did I bully her?”

Lin Shuishui acted as if she saw everything clearly: ”I heard it all! Late at night, sister stifled her voice, you bullied her until so late!”

”I...”

Qin Yu glanced at his blushing little wife but couldn’t explain.

No choice, the house was too small, the soundproofing too poor, even though Lin Qianqian restrained herself, it couldn’t be hidden!

Lin Qianqian, holding back her embarrassment, lightly bit her lip and explained, ”Shuishui, it’s not what you think! Your brother-in-law didn’t bully me...”

”I’ve eavesdropped for several nights now!”

Lin Shuishui interrupted, and said to Qin Yu: ”Brother-in-law, let me do it in the future, I’m not any less skilled than sister!”

In the past, watching sister always doing chores, but her father wouldn’t let her help, so afterward she would always give sister massages.

Qin Yu looked at Lin Shuishui, her waist like a slim willow, her figure though youthful was proud and graceful.

What’s that saying?

The less mature the fruit, the more it stands tall...

”Shuishui, don’t cause trouble!”

Lin Qianqian glared angrily at her, also glancing at Qin Yu.

”Your brother-in-law really didn’t bully me, the two of us, it’s because... it’s because your brother-in-law is helping me cultivate!”

”Cultivate?”

”Yes, cultivate!”

Lin Qianqian pointed a jade finger decisively!

Finally, she found a reason!

Yet Lin Shuishui came closer, suspiciously glancing between them: ”Who are you fooling?”

”How could that be cultivating?”

In other aspects, she might not know much, but when it comes to cultivation, Lin Shuishui was more knowledgeable than her sister.

She had never heard of anyone without a root bone being able to cultivate!

Sensible Lin Shuishui actually didn’t want to bring up her sister’s root bone situation, but wasn’t this clearly trying to deceive her?

”Really! Remember when sister asked you about spiritual qi before?”

Lin Qianqian hurriedly explained: ”Thanks to your brother-in-law’s efforts these days... I can now sense spiritual qi too!”

Sensing Technique.

It’s the most basic cultivation technique, these days Qin Yu guided Lin Shuishui, she learned by example but never tried it herself.

Now is a good chance to try.

If she can really absorb spiritual qi, it means she can become a cultivator like Qin Yu and face life together!

Qin Yu also wanted to know if what Lin Qianqian said last night was true, so he began teaching her how to sit in meditation, how to guide and refine spiritual qi.
