One-Eyed Monster

After Mantai’s Emperor was assassinated, the Wind Chaser couldn’t wait to declare himself the new Emperor.

However, none of the nineteen riders of the Wind Chasers in the Mantai Empire were satisfied, which was commonplace in an empire that worships power.

The other eighteen Wind Chasers among the nineteen riders raised their own flags and started their own plots.

These Wind Chasers wouldn’t unite due to the Emperor being killed, nor would they become a scattered mess because the Empire lacked a real Emperor. Each raised their own flags, began expanding their territories, with the same aim – to conquer everyone, kill the current Emperor, and become Emperor themselves…

Thus, the entire Mantai Country fell into chaos.

Meanwhile, the Dwarves who assisted the new Mantai Emperor in the attack on Ghost Valley mysteriously vanished before their eyes.

The Dwarves seemed to revert to their timid nature, hiding underground and never coming out.

Smoke rose throughout the Mantai Empire, completely falling into disarray. Although the Mantai Empire had never been truly peaceful in the past, conflicts among the nineteen riders often dissipated due to Mantai’s Emperor.

This time, however, the entire nineteen riders were plunged into chaos, with each Wind Chaser dominated territory constantly expanding and shrinking, shrinking and expanding…

This warfare turned the Mantai Empire into a living hell.

Even now, in the Ghost Realm controlled by the Mantai Empire, battles continue…

Both the Vero Realm and the Ghost Realm underwent significant changes; the original regimes have transformed, and their appearances are now unrecognizable…

These changes provided temporary relief to the Kayne Realm, at least the borders wouldn’t be invaded by these two Empires in the short term.

In the Wensi Empire, the newly in power Gaoju Family still needed to clear out Queen Wensi’s forces and gradually implant their authority throughout the Vero Realm, and it’s needless to say about the Ghost Realm’s Mantai Empire - there’s no way it would calm down anytime soon, as battles among the nineteen Wind Chasers are likely to persist for a long time.

The incidents in these two big Empires are shocking enough, with coups happening so suddenly, coincidentally in the same timeframe during which King Kayne appointed Kuyi Tulan as the King’s Hand…

This coincidence made Luona’s people involuntarily think of the Soul Devourers, those who control the bodies of others, possibly being the masterminds behind these events.

In his letter, Perkins also expressed his unease, considering King Kayne’s current drastic changes, which are very much like being controlled.

Many things happened outside, and the news of coups in the other two big Empires was quite explosive.

Of course, Old Cole naturally knew these news, but he was unaware of the details, like the Gaoju Family attacking the Tree Spirit, Dwarves had attacked Ghost Valley. These details were beyond Old Cole’s knowledge.

Other happenings in the two big Empires were mentioned by Perkins just as much, the rest are about the events occurring in the Kayne Empire.

And the incidents in the Kayne Empire made Igor and them feel even more embarrassed.

It’s somewhat understandable not to know much about things happening in the other two Empires, considering not everyone’s obliged to be concerned with matters outside their own Empire, but being unaware of significant events within their own Empire only suggests that these two have been in a daze for quite a long time!

Of course, Igor and them didn’t have much time for self-reproach, for they had many important things to comprehend, given that the happenings in the Kayne Country were not ordinary either, although not as shocking as those in the other two Empires, these were still somewhat mysterious.

Compared to previous major events, those in the Kayne Country were niche, spreading within a small scope.

It was evident that the Kangen Family was unaware of these matters. This was normal as the Kangen Family’s main focus wasn’t here; they pursued information in another direction, which had to do with their profession.

Luona’s information prioritized issues related to the Soul Devourer, also due to having the Sol Brothers. Tobin Sol had long fought against the Soul Devourer and naturally had some understanding in this aspect, they were purposeful in controlling the overall direction.

Thus, most of the information they obtained was related to the Soul Devourer.

If these messages were to be checked by others, they would reveal enigmatic elements everywhere…

At that time, Old Cole also furrowed his brows upon seeing this kind of information, as the news was simply too incredible.

The news stated that throughout the Kayne Realm, there appeared to be more or less living dead.

These living dead were not zombies, but some revived people. These people stood up again shortly after dying, and their recovery was rapid, causing many to marvel at the birth of miracles.

But not all resurrected people were kind-hearted, there were some extremely wicked villains among them. Their rampant resurgence made people exclaim that the world was overrun by devils.

Such changes might leave others puzzled, really thinking that devils and angels were roaming the earth, but for Igor and them, they knew the real cause and effect of things.

Not everyone could understand what the Soul Devourer was about.

Igor and Kadi understood very well.

They thought it was those Soul Devourers who were eager, using the opportunity of obtaining bodies to get moved.

Maybe they found occupying those lively people wasn’t easy, so they changed their target to these dying people.

This choice led to the creation of this eerie phenomenon, making people marvel at the emergence of devils and angels in this world.

These signals motivated Luona with the notion that unseen enemies were acting and eager at that.

What caused the Soul Devourers to act so eagerly, Igor and them weren’t sure, and it needed them to investigate further.\\p>

But at least it could be seen that whether it’s Vero Realm’s coup or the Mantai Empire’s chaos, there seemed to be some connection to the Soul Devourers…

Of course, not all news was bad, there was also some good news.

The good news was, Luona had information about the Resistor.\\p>

This news was indeed good news for Igor.\\p>

He had been searching for so long without finding traces of the Resistor, surprisingly Luona had the information about it.\\p>

Of course, the Resistor referred to the Resistor in the Border Realm of the Soul Devourer, not the one mentioned later by Stan Sol…\\p>

The news, although considered good news, seemed insignificant amid so much other news, and the good news naturally got completely overshadowed by other messages.\\p>

These messages made Igor realize his own shortcomings, now he clenched his fists, secretly determined to do what he originally ought to do in this Xinbal, otherwise he would be of no worth!\\p>
