One-Eyed Monster

Igor shook his head, he now had a clear thread in his mind, able to connect all these chaotic events into a vivid entity.

This thread was Kadi.

Kadi grew up on Guru Mountain.

But ironically, Guru Mountain held a secret of transcending life and death.

Now Igor also knew that this secret of transcending life and death was a ruse, an excuse used by the Soul Devourers to retrieve their Devouring Power.

And this Devouring Power happened to be manifested in Kadi, which made Igor feel quite strange.

It’s known that in the Border Realm, the Soul Devourer Master once spoke of the Agent of Destruction. This Agent of Destruction was precisely the power within Kadi...

Kadi was inherently a Medium, he could seamlessly link his Spirit Power with others, which was novel enough.

Now Igor felt that Kadi was full of secrets.

It seemed that the biggest secret of Guru Mountain was actually Kadi.

Since Kadi left Guru Mountain, the whole mountain seemed much more at peace...

Though Igor was reluctant to think this way, the evidence lay before him, leaving him no choice but to consider it.

Kadi was inherently an anomaly!

”Why are you looking at me like that? Everyone’s waiting for your explanation!” Kadi reminded Igor.

Igor snapped back to reality; he never expected that what the others had been searching for was right beside him all along.

Of course, there were still many points of confusion, and he couldn’t fully conclude if things were really like this.

But the possibility was at least seventy to eighty percent.

”I thought of something; I think the reason the enemy is so active now is because they feel their time has come.”

No one spoke, they still quietly looked at Igor, meaning for him to continue.

”Of course, there are many things involved, many concepts that can only be understood through sharing information, and explaining it becomes a bit...” Igor explained, feeling that such matters required a slow, thorough discussion.

”About Guru Mountain, and the matters of the Border Realm, we are already aware of. You need not worry about our understanding, whether it was with Luona or with Bistal, we have had deep exchanges, and we have even had contact with Guru Mountain,” said Will Kangen, indicating for Igor to speak freely, assuring that they would understand whatever he said.

To be honest, Igor was quite startled by this, thinking others were closed off and unwilling to communicate, but had not expected that the Kangen Family had always maintained smooth information flow...

”If that’s the case, then it’s much simpler for me to explain.” Igor scratched his head, about to reveal that vivid entity to everyone present.

Kadi, as an important character, naturally became crucial.

I feel that our current enemy is the Soul Devourers, and of course, there’s a force behind the Soul Devourers, which I’ll tentatively call the forces of the Spirit World, and this I can assert.

Igor began to unfold, his mind was exceptionally clear at such moments, with no procrastination or hesitation.

The power from the Spirit World controlled the Soul Devourers, and their ultimate goal was to seize our world, seize us.

This sounds a bit alarming, but it’s the conclusion I’ve reached after fighting these Soul Devourers for so long.

Spirits have no life, they are just entities of consciousness, relying on us to awaken them and then coexisting with us.

When we reach the Eternal Tranquility Realm, they fall asleep, waiting for a new force to awaken them.

The evil force might have a power that keeps the spirits constantly awake, thereby enabling them to continuously invade us... This sounds a bit convoluted, but that’s what the Soul Devourers are.

The evil force prevents these lost spirits from sleeping, requiring them to continually invade the bodies of the Awakened to survive, forming our greatest enemy, the Soul Devourers.

The powers of these Soul Devourers are strong, but they have a flaw, which is being unable to invade.

This flaw led them to seek the Devouring Power, which is the blue flame on Kadi.

The most defining characteristic of this blue flame is the devouring of Spirit Power; it appears to you as Spirit Power, but to me, it’s flowing energy. They acquire this flowing energy and then begin to devour the spirits awakened by the Awakened, and then replace them...

Due to the nature of the power, not every devouring achieves effective results, and at times, they might be countered instead.

To avoid such awkward situations, these Soul Devourers need stronger Devouring Power.

And this strong Devouring Power is precisely the power within Kadi.

So when these Soul Devourers secretly dwelling among the masses suddenly see the complete manifestation of the Devouring Power, they all emerge.

This explanation should be reasonable.

Igor, eloquent and chattering, said a lot, yet this was merely his hypothesis.

”Currently, it seems that the opponent is targeting that blue flame,” Coban Kangen mused, and then said.

”When the blue flame was destroyed by Patrick’s advanced power, these Mutants, which are the Soul Devourers Igor mentioned, all unanimously chose to perish, not giving us any chance for capture,” Will Kangen immediately said, expressing some regret over this outcome.

If Patrick hadn’t advanced to a Saint in a cloak back then, it’s very possible that these Soul Devourers would have really attacked.

Thinking back now, it’s still quite frightening.

Kadi furrowed his brow, having absorbed everything Igor had said; never had he imagined that there were so many secrets hidden within himself.

”That blue flame, now I can completely suppress it; it won’t appear again,” Kadi said softly, his tone carrying a trace of apology.

”Kadi, we need to uncover all the secrets within you so we can find out where you truly came from more swiftly,” Igor advised Kadi, for him, the most critical task now was to uncover the secrets within Kadi.

”Well... but, I just feel strange, like I’m one of them!” Kadi said, feeling uneasy for the first time.

”Perhaps, you really are one of them!” Igor chuckled, having some basis for believing this.

”Well, I...” Kadi seemed a bit dissatisfied with this outcome.

”Don’t worry, even if you’re one of them, you’re still my friend. See, you’re also suppressing this Devouring Power, proving you’re different from them. Even if you were one of them, it wouldn’t matter.”

”But...” Kadi still felt strange.

”It’s nothing, Kadi. Think about it, Kruz is also part of the Circus, yet he’s still our friend. Keeping one’s essence is vital, let everything else be as it may.”

It’s worth mentioning that Igor used an excellent example, one that immediately brought Kadi back...
