I AM the Football Star

Tottenham is a typical English team that has remained in the ranks of strong competitors for many years, never falling behind. Whenever they bring in a few star players and well-known head coaches, they can temporarily become a top club.

But if they fail to achieve the corresponding results during the investment period, they could suffer a tremendous blow, ultimately dropping in level, even below that of previous strong competitors.

This is a situation that most Premier League contenders face.

Do they bet everything to try their luck and see if they can rise up and become a Phoenix?

Or do they maintain their current level, playing as a supporting role in the league, but winning in stability?

Tottenham chose the former.

There are reports that Tottenham is eager to introduce a core-level player and equip them with the best supporting players to launch an assault on the league championship and Champions League title.

Some say they have great interest in Barça’s football elf Moreira.

Others suggest they seem confident in their medical expertise and aim to acquire the alien Lima.

However, these claims are not quite credible, as even if those two were leaving, they would circulate among the top clubs, and Tottenham’s chances of securing them are very slim.

As for Serie A, now that’s exciting.

Juventus, Florence, Rome, and AC Milan are almost all in the first tier.

Among them, the former three are particularly strong, almost consistently in the top three for consecutive years.

AC Milan, after all, just won the Champions League; not giving them first-tier fan status would be unacceptable.

While Inter Milan, Atlanta, Naples, and Lazio are more or less in the same tier.

In the case of San Remo, experts avoid direct confrontation, fearing being proven wrong by San Remo.

After all, this team just lost to Juventus, but also beat AC Milan.

You tell me what to do.

Speaking of the Champions League, this year’s winner is actually quite obvious: Real Madrid, Barça, Chelsea, Bayern, Manchester United, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain!

The rest, even AC Milan, Florence, Rome, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, have support rates far inferior to those giants mentioned earlier.

What?

You’re asking about San Remo?

Stop being so sarcastically cynical.

Even San Remo’s most loyal fans know what San Remo’s real objective this season should be.

It’s the league!

And not unrealistically dreaming of the Champions League!

Serie A and Serie B are different.

San Remo in Serie B can practically handle everything with ease.

But in Serie A, every team, including the four-time consecutive league champions Juventus, faces no easy matches.

In strong matchups, victories and defeats alternate.

Juventus has been strong these past few years mainly because they’re steady when snatching points from weaker teams.

In their encounters with Rome and Florence, their records are not superior.

...

San Remo, Head Coach’s office.

Mr. Russell no longer has time to sit in this year; his business now requires his full focus, not leaving even a second, as it’s constantly a matter of life and death.

Sotu, Old Tom, Lu Yang, Morici, and the coaching staff are all present.

Everyone is engaged in discussion to determine the team’s objectives for this season.

”San Remo has completed the promoted team’s miracle for three consecutive years, and next, is the most crucial promotion miracle! I think our goal is already very clear,” said a member of the coaching staff. ”League champions. If we want to create the most insane football legend across Europe, we must win the Serie A championship this season.”

Old Tom glanced at the speaker: ”Why don’t you say our objective should be the Champions League? Want anything else? I’ll give it to you altogether!”

”Come on, folks, are you professional football practitioners or not? The gap between the Five Major Leagues and other leagues, don’t you understand?”

”Serie A is currently the world’s top league! While Serie B... the gap between Serie A is unknown, passing through multiple Ligue 1 and Bundesliga!”

”Respecting Serie A, only then can we possibly go further this season! I absolutely do not want us to start contemplating how to handle relegation when we’re just halfway through the league!”

With different objectives, competitors differ, and the attitude towards the schedule varies.

If your objective is to avoid relegation, then you must strive to earn three or even one point against similarly relegation-threatened teams, and you’re unlikely to truly drop into the relegation zone.

If your objective is the European competition zone, then you should try to amass points against weak teams, and get at least a point against strong teams.

If your objective is the European competition zone, then in strong matchups, you should try to win, and at worst draw, and lastly plunder three points from weak teams.

If your objective is the league championship!

Then no matter who you face, you must win.

Even you can lose to some weak teams, but definitely can’t lose to competitors.

Because losing to weak teams only drops three points, but losing to competitors, you’ve dropped six points and a game!

Different strategies determine whether players are conservative or not on the field, and this impact is often huge.

”Champions League zone then!” Morici spoke, ”The best situation would be for us to enter the Champions League zone. This way, next year’s team will still have a chance to fight.”

”Only such an opportunity will give us enough attractiveness in the transfer market.”

Morici said it very tactfully but was actually reminding the team.

Next year, quite a few members of the team will leave.

To maintain competitiveness, San Remo must introduce some heavyweight players.
