I AM the Football Star

Moreover, due to Lu Yang’s dominant performances in both the Europa League and European Cup, being defeated by Lu Yang is no longer considered a career blemish.

Thus, Chaloba smoothly rose to prominence.

Rashim, who also performed excellently in this European Cup, was equally promoted by Manchester City, becoming a starting player in the lineup.

But San Remo’s pursuit of midfielders was not going smoothly.

Having lost Versachi, they also faced Latu Yidi’s request to retire, leaving their midfield suddenly stretched thin.

San Remo has made offers for midfielders to several teams, but the other sides either demanded exorbitant prices or were unwilling to empower their competitors, leading to failed negotiations.

Serie A teams are unlikely to sell players to San Remo.

Relegation-escape teams view San Remo as their greatest relegation rival.

Serie A powerhouse teams also consider San Remo unignorable, especially since San Remo holds the Europa League, making their strength quite mysteriously high!

Italian Second Division teams, strong teams need their midfielders for promotion battle, so why would they sell?

Or they are simply players on loan from other strong teams, making a second handover impossible.

As for weaker players... well, San Remo is actually not too interested now.

After a few days, some updates regarding San Remo’s own players gradually surfaced.

Apart from the aforementioned retirements of striker Belletti and veteran goalkeeper Jalard.

The two also returned to San Remo as a shooting coach and a goalkeeper coach, respectively, besides the matter concerning Latu Yidi.

Latu Yidi had previously hesitated among extending his contract, leaving as a free agent, or retiring.

Ultimately, with reassurance from the higher-ups at San Remo, Latu Yidi chose to leave as a free agent and returned to his hometown team, Le Havre.

After playing for his hometown team for a while, Latu Yidi could return to San Remo at any time to become a youth coach or even a candidate for head coach!

This move initially seemed inconsequential.

But later, as San Remo faced setbacks in their midfield pursuits, this move turned out to be a stroke of genius.

The talented young midfielder from Le Havre, only twenty years old Paul Moriba, transferred to San Remo at a friendly price of one million euros.

Previously, Marseille, Lyon, Paris, and even Juventus, had all shown interest in this player, with bids reaching three times this price.

But with Latu Yidi’s assistance, Moriba showed much greater interest in joining San Remo.

Because there, he could gain more playing opportunities, become part of a legend, see his value skyrocket, and receive attention from the world football community!

San Remo has already become the top choice for many yet-to-be-famous young players!

Moriba stands at 1.91 meters, physically robust, with exceptionally skillful footwork.

His vision is outstanding, and he has imaginative passing, capable of filling multiple midfield positions, with limitless potential.

Trading someone eager to retire like Latu Yidi for someone like Moriba, regardless of outside opinions, San Remo themselves believe they’ve struck gold.

Additionally, San Remo has borrowed from Barça’s youth training a center-back Eric Alme!

This young player is very famous at La Masia, being one of the youth captains of Barça’s youth training team.

Many people see him becoming a starting center-back for Barça in the next three to five years, and he needs plenty of match time, which San Remo can fully provide.

Initially, Barça was actually unwilling to loan Alme to San Remo.

Because a Premier League team also wanted to loan Alme.

Barça understood all too well that their future main rival would definitely not be a Serie A team but a Premier League team, so a player with Premier League experience could definitely help Barça defeat Premier League teams in the future.

This strategy is called ”using foreign skill to counter foreign skill”!

However, a phone call from Lu Yang to Gudiola, who briefly spoke, led Barça to change their minds and loan the player over.

Gudiola certainly couldn’t completely interfere with Barça’s management decisions, but he merely indicated that from the perspective of defensive quality and depth, Alme would learn much more in Serie A than in the Premier League.

Moreover, Serie A is currently building the reputation of ”the strongest defensive player producer,” with most excellent defenders in the future Five Major Leagues likely hailing from Serie A.

Thus, Alme’s matter was settled.

Additionally, San Remo also borrowed Arsenal’s not-so-young youth training goalkeeper, Connor Woodman!

This loan didn’t have any issues; what Mr. Winter says goes.

By this point, several teams had already caught on.

San Remo’s attempt to strengthen through purchases has become unrealistic.

Aside from acquiring Moriba due to Latu Yidi, San Remo couldn’t buy outstanding young players.

Nor could they afford renowned players, compounded by previously mentioned platform rebuilding reasons.

They fell into an awkward personnel situation.

Considering they want decent players, they could only rely on loans.

The fundamental reason being all teams purposefully creating a talent blockade around San Remo!

The sooner San Remo falls back into the Italian Second Division, the sooner the excellent players in the San Remo team can be divided by other teams.

Therefore, whether it’s teams unwilling to sell players to San Remo or those willing to loan players to San Remo, their true intention is to divide up San Remo.

They’re all birds of a feather.

The distinction lies in that the latter is more clever.

Since Barça and Arsenal have made such clever moves.

I, Real Madrid, notorious for buying the best, naturally could not fall behind.

They proactively contacted San Remo, willing to loan some youth training players to them.

However, after San Remo made selections, they found none they were interested in.

Umm... somewhat awkward.

Until Sotudo casually asked, ”How come I didn’t see Ruben Delarre’s name?”

Only then did San Remo find a promising talent.
