I AM the Football Star

However, staying up late will cause the meridians that were opened to shrink and close again, and it will be very difficult to open them again.

So you mustn’t stay up late.

Delarre was skeptical, but after he started increasing his training load, he didn’t experience any more problems.

He thus developed the habit of going to bed early.

Regardless of whether this traditional Chinese medicine has any effect, as long as he doesn’t faint again, Delarre would rather believe it.

Because this is the only ray of light in his football career!

...

”Transfer window closed! San Remo makes last-minute signing, but the player has a mysterious illness!”

”The sleeping Maoli Delarre! San Remo’s new famous signing, buying him is just a desperate gamble!”

”Two years ago, his value was as high as twenty million euros, with a market value not less than thirty million euros; why did Real Madrid trade him to San Remo for five million euros? Where in the world can you find such a bargain?”

”Does Real Madrid also scam people? San Remo buys a player with an incurable illness, who fundamentally can’t play!”

Actually, Real Madrid was quite reasonable.

After learning that Delarre’s strange illness seemed to be cured, they didn’t cancel the contract but instead traded Delarre to San Remo for the low price of five million euros.

The latter signed a four-year contract with San Remo.

Both Real Madrid and San Remo were very satisfied with this deal.

Real Madrid saw their youth training facility usher in a revival; they were happy to see a talented player return to the field.

If it turns out that Delarre can really continue playing, and plays well, then Real Madrid will absolutely not hesitate to bring their child back to Bernabéu.

And San Remo, under restricted conditions, spent the price of a Five Major Leagues’ low-skilled worker player to buy a player with star strength and potential to become the core of a competitive team.

What more could you ask for?

Delarre himself was also very pleased; he could finally return to the field.

As for whether this place was Real Madrid or San Remo, it wasn’t so important at the moment.

With this, San Remo’s lineup for the season was initially set.

Main goalkeeper Areola wore the number one jersey.

Over the course of a season, his rating rose from 77 to 82.

From a Five Major Leagues player to a main player in the Five Major Leagues.

Such a player can basically be considered a star.

Even if his strength doesn’t progress much, he’s managed to realize his talent.

A bit regrettably, during the European Cup, Areola didn’t play; otherwise, his ability value might be higher.

But being selected for the national team and viewing games from the substitute bench’s VIP position likely gave Areola some insights and gains.

Moreover, goalkeepers’ abilities generally grow slower than other positions.

Goalkeepers have much longer careers compared to other positions.

Therefore, although Areola’s rating increase wasn’t particularly exaggerated, his growth potential is very high, and he has the hope of entering the ranks of world-class goalkeepers in the future!

Additionally, this rating actually relates to player positioning.

Areola is a goalkeeper, so his rating weight tilts toward the data needed by goalkeepers.

Though his rating is 82, his attack and even defense stats are undoubtedly far below those of midfielders or forwards of the same level.

It cannot be compared.

Moreover, even among midfielders, the defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder stats have different weights.

Kaint’s offensive attributes might only be sixty or seventy, but his defense definitely reaches eighty plus points.

Morici’s defense attributes may only be sixty or seventy, but his offense might be nearing ninety!

Their ratings don’t need to consider all attribute items.

Because their positioning is inherently that way.

But Lu is different; Lu’s positioning is as an all-purpose player, so his rating is a comprehensive measurement of defense, attack, physique, spirit, and other aspects.

Even with the same forty attribute points, Lu’s balanced distribution might only raise his rating by ten points.

But Morici using those forty attribute points might increase the rating by twenty or even twenty-five points!

Lu is more comprehensive, making upgrading more difficult.

Other single-type players are easier to upgrade but have limited practicality.

Such a notion has a somewhat data-driven, game-like quality, but indeed, such phenomena exist in reality.

Including how modern football increasingly lacks big central forwards, simply because the abilities needed by big central forwards are too numerous, making it too hard to achieve results.

Whereas speed-type forwards only need speed, sometimes not even dribbling or shooting skills, to shine.

Naturally, more people will take the single-path approach, while all-purpose central forwards will become increasingly scarce.

This eventually leads to tactics having to lack variation due to the scarcity of player types, and when the era of tactical reform arrives, all excellent head coaches will be looking for versatile players with more possibilities.

The value of all-purpose central forwards, all-purpose midfielders, and all-purpose defenders truly shine at this time.

Therefore, rating is not the only thing.

Areola may be rated 82 in this era, but in the next era, due to a lack of exquisite foot skills, his same stats might only yield a rating of eighty or even seventy-nine.

Every generation has their legends, and only Brother Lu is all-encompassing!

Regarding defenders, left-back Camihong has risen from a rating of 69 at the beginning of last season to 78 this season, an increase of nine points!

Camihong has seized his golden phase; as he reached the peak in physique, experience, and technique, he also gained tremendous attention and numerous honors.

Added value upon added value, Camihong is breaking through his own shackles.
