I AM the Football Star

Therefore, unbeknownst to everyone, Lu Yang already possesses two world-class abilities.

Speed and shooting skills!

Essence Points, Lu Yang gave them to Eruption.

Eruption 90-92

Originally, he wanted to allocate them to Speed, but the use of Essence Points has limitations.

Ultimately, Casillas’s gift was exceptionally powerful, directly enhancing Lu Yang’s ability to stand firm in defense.

To put it bluntly, Lu Yang’s ability to defend football within his own penalty area, especially his ability to block the ball using positioning and physical presence, is already comparable to a stationary giant like Lukaku.

”Hey, boss? Regarding Delarre, I think we can have a talk with him.” Lu Yang dialed Sotu’s number.

Two days later, Lu Yang flew to Madrid, with the help of Real Madrid Club management, and met with Delarre.

”Hello, Delarre. I’m Lu Yang.” Lu Yang was quick to shake hands with Delarre.

Delarre is older than Lu Yang, being twenty-two years old, but frankly, it’s still a very youthful age—he ought to be shining brightly.

However, Delarre, as he shook hands with Lu Yang, still carried a certain sense of weariness and age.

Life has been too cruel, causing Delarre to fall from his peak early, allowing him to see the cold reality of society at the age of twenty-two.

”Congratulations, you play football brilliantly! Especially those ideas!” Delarre is passionate about football, having watched Lu Yang’s matches.

As far as the basics go, he feels he is stronger than Lu Yang.

But the free-flowing creativity Lu Yang has is what Delarre appreciates and admires the most.

”Do you still maintain your training now?” Lu Yang asked.

”I keep training, but the intensity has decreased a lot. My mother is worried I’ll... so...” Delarre forced a smile, clearly not happy.

”Nothing is more important than life itself, not even football.” Lu Yang strongly agreed with Delarre’s mother’s approach, ”San Remo wants to acquire you, are you aware of that?”

Delarre nodded: ”But my body doesn’t allow me to participate in high-intensity professional leagues.”

”Have you ever heard of traditional Chinese medicine?” Lu Yang grinned.

Delarre was puzzled: ”You mean the American method where they use bugs and venomous snakes along with dancing as a cure?”

Lu Yang was speechless: ”That’s not what traditional Chinese medicine is. It’s a very well-developed system of medicine. It may not be as easy to explain as Western medicine in some aspects, but from thousands of years of enduring treatments and numerous cases of actual recovery, it holds more authority than Western medicine.”

”It’s just that top-notch traditional Chinese medicine is hard to come by.”

Delarre was skeptical: ”If my body could truly improve, I’d be more than willing to play for San Remo. I know that even after recovery, I need plenty of games.”

”And at Real Madrid, I don’t have such an opportunity.”

Lu Yang smiled: ”What about being a substitute? Of course, a substitute for Serie A and Champions League matches. You should understand the situation of San Remo; we lack manpower, even the game load for substitutes is quite substantial.”

Delarre didn’t hesitate: ”Sure! I don’t fear such challenges; my main goal at San Remo is to regain my form... Of course, all of this is premised on my body being okay.”

”Then what are we waiting for?” Lu Yang laughed, ”Come to China with me, how soon can you depart?”

”Now!” Delarre couldn’t hide his excitement.

He’s only twenty-two, such a reaction is very normal, because he hasn’t conceded to fate yet.

If it were the case he was twenty-eight now, he likely wouldn’t show any excitement.

Because even if he recovers, it would be too late.

His career would already be over.

Very soon.

Lu Yang took Delarre to China and used a medical check-up kit on him.

Delarre’s condition wasn’t complex, his body was almost without any issues, he was even healthier than Morici.

After all, Morici is only 1.74 meters tall.

While Delarre is 1.86 meters!

Delarre’s problem is in his head, it’s a structural issue.

Once he stays up all night excessively combined with intoxication, it easily triggers vascular blockage in the head, causing him to faint.

This is an unsolvable problem.

As long as he stays up continuously for a period, he’ll experience this.

But if he doesn’t stay up late, the issue will never recur.

How can Lu Yang explain this problem to Delarre?

It’s kind of absurd.

The issue that has troubled him for two years, nearly leading him to retire, in the end, it turns out to be staying up late?

A famous health expert Deng Mohan once expressed related views in his papers.

He considers staying up late to be humanity’s greatest health assassin, bar none.

His research conclusion significantly aids young people to sleep early.

Because in his research, staying up late isn’t just a so-called chronic form of self-harm anymore, but actual self-harm.

Sudden death, cancer... enough said, readers, go to bed early.

Upon returning home, Lu Yang had Tang Yuqin help contact Deng Mohan.

The person turned out to be a master acupuncturist as well.

Following a course of head acupuncture therapy, Lu Yang told Delarre that he had been healed.

What is acupuncture?

It is undoubtedly one of the most difficult foreign medical practices to grasp!

Although the primary effect of this treatment is to calm and soothe irritability.

Yet, Delarre was exceedingly receptive to it.

Afterward, Deng Mohan particularly emphasized to Delarre not to stay up late.

The explanation was somewhat mystical.

Your brain is naturally blocked; were it not for my silver needles opening the pathways, you would have died by the age of twenty-five, and fainting was just one of the symptoms.

Now, you can live as a normal person.
