I AM the Football Star

Chapter 327: Chapter 101: The Core of the National Youth Team, the Man-Eating Red Wolf! (13,000-Word Teaser) _6

This reinforcement strategy is not difficult to understand, and it’s not hard to implement either. Just find a top-tier winger who excels in dribbling breakthroughs. But for the past few seasons, Rome has insisted on taking chances rather than spending big money to buy outstanding wingers.

Because outstanding wingers are becoming increasingly valuable and expensive.

Moreover, they are very rare and hard to purchase.

At least within Italy, there are no truly outstanding winger players.

Sevajos might count as one.

Becher’s could previously count as half, and now it probably counts as one.

As for excellent wingers from outside leagues, they are even less willing to come to Serie A.

Everyone knows that Serie A is good at defense, and forwards will definitely see their stats shrink upon arrival. Serie A is in decline, so why bask in the sunset? Why not enjoy the midday glory of the Premier League and La Liga?

Therefore, Martivini’s reform direction also included multiple measures to encourage offense in the future Serie A.

This includes some strict penalties in the penalty area.

Even if forwards in Serie A can only score ten to twenty open play goals in a season, I will use penalty kicks to push you to thirty goals and enable you to compete for the European Golden Boot.

Ligue 1, Bundesliga, why can they stack up scores, but not my Serie A?

This includes changes in the assessment of assist rules in the Premier League, La Liga, and others, to give players more stats, not reduce them.

With the explosion of the internet, data has become an important criterion for fans to follow stars and matches.

A one-nil game is destined to be less appealing to most fans than a five to four match.

Even if the former is a Champions League final, and the latter is just a warm-up match.

Defense wins championships, offense wins audience. This phrase is expressed more profoundly and obviously in basketball than in football, but even the basketball world chooses to encourage offense.

There’s really nothing to hesitate about in football. Encouraging offense is bound to happen sooner or later, and whoever takes the first step will be a pioneer of future football!

This will include changes to the offside rule in the future.

”Oh... Becher’s was tackled by the opponent, the main referee did not signal for a foul, it was a legal steal.”

”San Remo has retracted their formation, their left winger Fernandez is almost equivalent to a midfielder.”

”Lu has also retreated, they are trying to park the bus. But this is very unwise, Rome is the team with the strongest offensive capabilities in the entire Serie A, even without Perrotta!”

”Aguirre got past San Remo’s left-back Camihong! He’s playing very enthusiastically today, and Camihong can’t restrain him.”

”Pass! Aguirre delivers a bottom cross!”

”Goal! It’s in! Rome’s substitute central forward Savio seized the opportunity and hammered it home!”

”Naji and Palacios are both over one meter ninety, but they can’t do anything about Savio! Savio, in this moment, seemed to embody Perrotta, performing an aerial bombardment on San Remo’s goal, leaving Jalard helpless!”

Rome showed San Remo with facts.

You can play defense and counterattack.

But the premise is that under your defense, after our offense, there’s a counterattack!

Aguirre was quite excited after completing the assist, and he immediately looked towards Balera, with a semblance of pride.

It was as if he was asking Balera, ”Are you satisfied with my performance? Will you still criticize me?”

This was like an arrogant child, just criticized by an elder, then immediately winning an award, asking the elder, ”See, wasn’t your criticism wrong?”

This leaves the elder embarrassed! In the future, they might not just refrain from rebuking you; they might completely ignore or not support you.

If it were smart kids like Lu and Morici, they would certainly say to the elder, ”This is all thanks to your reminders and teachings, otherwise, I might really have been careless and not performed well.”

And the elder isn’t foolish and naturally knows that this child doesn’t need my scolding; this child has their internal balance.

Not only does it maintain harmony, but it also significantly enhances your status in the elder’s mind in a more fitting way, making a deep impression. At the same time, it may seem like you’ve given the elder face, but in fact, you’ve bound them to your side.

You think, if you encounter trouble later, won’t your elders at least say, ”I know this kid, they have a plan,” or something like that?

And, have you subtly placed yourself on the side of the elder? At least the elder would think so, because you have this complete process of ’mentorship’ and ’gratitude.’

Even if at the time, it didn’t necessarily seem like mentorship.

Of course, all this is based on having ’smart elders.’

If they’re some brainless relatives, it’s really good to stay as far away as possible.

But Balera is evidently a smart team elder.

Which makes Aguirre seem brainless.

One family, and you’re at odds?

Nevertheless, Aguirre did not disappoint Balera; he specifically found Becher’s during the run and taunted the opponent with his gaze, indicating to Balera, ”Look, I can also stand up to the opposing players.”

Becher’s was filled with anger.

Damn it!

If I can’t match Brother Lu, do you think I can’t match you, a half-skilled player?

Becher’s was previously subject to Rome’s purchase attempts, meant to replace Aguirre, after all.

Unless you’re declining, isn’t new always better than old?

Becher’s biggest buyer is Rome, can he let Aguirre be so arrogant?
