I AM the Football Star

Chapter 319: Chapter 100: One of the Most Charismatic Names in Football, Kaka! (Part 2)

Additionally, there’s even better news, which is that ”The Invisible Guest” has been nominated for several awards at the Cannes Film Festival, which will be held in early June this year.

It’s likely that on the Cannes red carpet in early June, everyone will be able to see Sofia and perhaps even... Lu Yang.

...

It wasn’t until March 8th that Lu Yang returned to San Remo to prepare for the 30th round of the Italian Third Division.

For this match, they started in adjustment mode.

On one hand, Versachi went into the substitute rotation with Latu Yidi.

On the other hand, Morici was trying to further develop the advantages of each player on the team.

In the 12th minute of the match, Morici made a long pass to Bai Zhami, who succeeded in beating the offside trap and directly got the ball in the left area of the penalty box. After receiving the ball, he took a curling shot and scored successfully!

In the 21st minute, it was still Morici, who after passing through the middle, dribbled forward to draw the opposing defenders, and then provided a straight pass to the well-positioned Becher’s, who was also unguarded upon receiving the ball and scored.

In the 40th minute, Lu Yang also showed some flair.

Outside the penalty box, he used the Bengbu Spin and Fried Meatballs to bypass three players consecutively. Despite having an opportunity to shoot, he passed the ball to Sogel, who was in a better position, and the latter nearly pushed it into an empty net.

San Remo led 3-0 at halftime, showing formidable strength.

The key is that these three goals weren’t threats created by San Remo’s regular tactics.

The first goal came from Morici’s insight and clever pass, which tore through the opponent’s two defensive lines with one shot.

The second goal also came from the individual collaboration between Morici and Becher’s, with a straight pass penetrating the enemy.

The third goal was entirely due to Lu Yang’s individual abilities.

Such success before the team’s tactics have created a lot of opportunities can only highlight the sheer difference in absolute strength between the two teams.

Morici’s return and the match with Sampdoria had prompted a transformation in San Remo.

Their demeanor was completely different from before.

Previously, they were just a lower league team, although they’d defeated Serie B teams, it didn’t change this fact.

But... after defeating a team from the top league, no one dares to underestimate San Remo anymore, including San Remo’s own players.

The significance of the top league in the world of football is immense, and the difference between Serie A and Serie B is not just a matter of one division.

In the second half, Fernandez replaced Bai Zhami, Versachi took over for Latu Yidi, and Rondo replaced Palacios.

In the 67th minute, Becher’s broke through to the right side of the penalty box, feinted a cross, and then made a true horizontal pass.

Lu Yang arrived swiftly and took a long shot to score.

In the 79th minute, San Remo earned a corner.

The corner taken by Morici precisely locked onto Naji’s head, who barely had to flick it, and the ball rebounded into the opponent’s goal.

In the subsequent ten minutes, both sides failed to score.

In this match, San Remo achieved a 5-0 victory!

Morici was honored as the best on the field, completing an assist hat trick with a strong return to the league.

Lu Yang and Becher’s both had one assist and one goal.

Naji, Sogel, and Bai Zhami each scored goals.

There’s a seven-day interval between this match and the next, making it a rare schedule with one match per week for San Remo.

With many Italian Third Division teams, there are a total of forty-four rounds in the league, but the schedule is similar to the thirty-eight rounds of Serie B and Serie A, which means a lot of time needs to be allocated midweek to complete league matches.

Adding the consumption of the cup matches, San Remo’s schedule this season is still quite packed, making one match per week particularly rare, especially in the latter half.

After the last game, Sogel requested two days off because his girlfriend’s birthday was coming up.

So they asked for a few days... of vacation.

With such reasonable requests, how could the San Remo coaching staff refuse?

Considering Sogel had been playing almost full attendance for most of the past season, he deserved a break.

So Sotu simply gave Sogel more than a week’s leave to allow him to rest fully.

Since it’s for recuperation, Sotu also had specific requirements.

That is, activities to deepen relationships between Sogel and his girlfriend were limited to only on her birthday night.

After that night, Sogel would no longer be granted ”permission to open fire.”

This requirement was quite inhumane, but Sogel dared not disobey, as he hoped Sotu would favor him more once he became the coach of AC Milan in the future.

Thus, in the 31st round match between San Remo and Padia, Sogel was not included in the team’s roster.

San Remo faced their opponent with a 442 formation.

Lu Yang and Becher’s served as atypical dual forwards.

Bai Zhami as the left midfielder, Belletti as the right midfielder.

The midfield duo consisted of Latu Yidi and Morici.

The defense remained unchanged.

With the change in formation, San Remo played noticeably awkward.

The main issue was the increased pressure on Morici.

He wasn’t surrounded by two midfielders but by two wide midfielders.

Fortunately, Becher’s was willing to actively retreat to receive the ball.

In the first twenty minutes, neither side scored.

On San Remo’s end, Lu Yang was embroiled with the opponent’s central defenders and still felt significant physical pressure.

His physical confrontation hadn’t been considered weak, but that was related to his playing style.

He mainly confronted the opponent’s midfielders, and there weren’t many with explosive physical qualities among them.

Moreover, when Lu held the ball, he often had the upper hand in confrontations with opposing defenders.
