I AM the Football Star

Chapter 315: Chapter 99: I, Lu Yang, Crave a Challenge! (Part 2)

The Samp head coach spoke quite nicely.

He acknowledged everyone at San Remo but also subtly indicated that this wasn’t the true Sampdoria.

Of course, he couldn’t say this outright. Previously, Martivini had clearly stated that even if some teams plan to forfeit the Italian Cup this season, they absolutely cannot express it verbally.

And next season, the Italian Cup’s treatment and status will be higher.

No club wants to oppose Martivini, especially when his re-election support is increasing.

Subsequently, Sotu expressed his mutual admiration for the Samp head coach.

Even though most of San Remo’s adjustments and arrangements today were actually designed by Morici.

But... doesn’t a head coach capable of using players most reasonably deserve to be called a famous coach?

Using personnel is, in itself, a high level of wisdom.

Tyronn Lue’s classic tactic of ”giving the ball to the strongest player on the team” also made him a famous coach, didn’t it?

Any objections?

There are two types of famous coaches: one with extremely high technical and tactical standards, and the other... well, luck, I mean, is adept at using personnel.

But let’s be honest; the content of these interviews isn’t what the media truly wants.

They don’t want everything to be so harmonious.

If everything were so good, then why did both head coaches frequently curse each other during the match and repeatedly complain about the opposing players’ fouls to the fourth referee?

Diplomatic words only appear to suit the situation.

Truth or dare is what the media seeks at its core.

So everyone looked at another person sitting in the interview seat.

Lu Yang!

Reporter: ”Lu, you achieved a great victory. Your teammates performed excellently, especially since your playstyle was completely different from before. What caused this?”

Lu Yang: ”Victory is naturally because we are stronger. My teammates have always been outstanding, but we previously lacked Morici. He is a core player who can make everyone better. Sorry, I should say he... his return gives us the confidence to defeat anyone.”

Reporter: ”And what about you? What do you bring to the team?”

Lu Yang: ”Me? I brought to the team the courage to defeat anyone!”

The media friends below applauded.

What Lu Yang said was very right and could almost directly become a headline.

Lu Yang and Morici are two completely different players.

Lu Yang, as the core, constantly makes up for teammates’ shortcomings.

Can’t advance on the right side?

Then Lu Yang advances.

Weak defense on the left side? Then he strengthens the defense on the left.

Can’t connect front and back plays?

Then he acts as the bridge.

The trident has weak scoring ability?

Then he completes the scoring task.

Team lacks a player for the final pass?

He can also deliver deadly through balls.

He’s versatile and thus fully compensates for teammates’ shortcomings.

But Morici enhances teammates’ strengths in every aspect.

Becher’s excels at dribbling and breaking through?

Fine, I’ll give you ample stage to perform.

Fernandez likes playing as a side midfielder; Camihong can push forward?

Ok, then I’ll support you tactically, allowing you to utilize your abilities in your favorite areas.

Versachi’s strength is versatility?

Then I’ll enable you to showcase your talents not only in defense but also in offense.

The different cores lead to different team dynamics.

Based on the team, tactics centered around Morici establish the basic offensive strategies and attacking power of San Remo, determining the team’s lower threshold.

While Lu Yang serves as the explosive point raising the team’s ceiling, his tactical value is rather low, but his personal value is extremely high.

Turning it around, in terms of player development, their roles reversed.

Morici became the one lifting teammates’ upper limits, while Lu Yang became the one ensuring teammates’ lower limits.

This solidified the foundations of San Remo during Lu Yang’s leadership.

Problems get solved to the point where there are almost no problems left.

Now with Morici’s return and integration, San Remo, which has no problems, is starting to evolve and transform.

If San Remo under Lu Yang’s single-core leadership had the level to surpass the Italian Third Division after gelling,

Then under Lu Yang and Morici’s dual-core leadership, San Remo might not be just an ordinary presence in Serie B.

In national cup competitions of any country, there have been instances where second-tier teams won the championship.

This makes people begin to daydream about San Remo.

Reporter: ”In this match, you recorded two goals and two assists, falling just one goal short of both a hat-trick in goals and assists. Do you feel regret? Had you accomplished a double hat-trick in this match, you would have set a new record.”

This question attracted a lot of attention, and all reporters became secretly excited.

Almost two hats!

This was the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup, and Lu Yang narrowly missed the opportunity to set a record. How will he express himself?

For some reason, many people wanted to see Lu Yang’s disappointed expression.

Because recently, Lu Yang has been just too... successful!

He won over players like Becher’s, who have the potential of Serie A stars.

He gained unanimous recognition and admiration from everyone in the team, from the chairman and management to his teammates and staff.

In terms of personal statistics, he has completely dominated players in the same league.

The new song he casually wrote for his ”girlfriend’s” movie became a hit all over Europe. Insider sources even say that the Brit Awards, highly influential in Europe, are considering nominating Lu Yang’s ”Shape of My Heart”.
