I AM the Football Star

Chapter 47: Chapter 20: Lu, It’s Inconvenient Here, Let’s Go to My Place! (Part 2)

Fans once called this pass the ”rocket pass”!

In fact, Morici had previously made similar passes in matches where he’d shoot directly without stopping, but he only did this occasionally because it was prone to mistakes.

With the addition of the low pass and fancy stop, Lu Yang’s long pass improved from 50 to 55, and his ball control went from 60 to 63.

Currently, he has four attributes over 60.

Ball control and tackle are at 63, balance which is body confrontation and speed are at 60.

The rest of the stats, once unlocked, have mostly reached around 55.

In fact, he’s already a qualified Italian Third Division player.

...

The restaurant for dinner was chosen by Sofia.

There’s nothing wrong with that.

But Lu Yang took a chance to go to the restroom, and notified the waiter to say he had already paid when the bill came, handing over all the money he had.

The waiter was happy to help Lu Yang be a ”Jetman.”

In fact, Lu Yang was far from being associated with wealth.

The Italian D League is the lowest tier of professional league, with meager salaries and bonuses.

Especially compared to Sofia, a star.

Tonight’s restaurant is the most upscale in San Remo, and Lu Yang had never been here before.

But this wouldn’t make him feel inferior.

This isn’t random male confidence, but he’s sure he’ll be very wealthy soon. In at most three years, his salary will surpass 95% of Italians!

By then, even the highest spending standards in San Remo might not match the spending habits of Lu Yang’s teammates.

Money is a man’s courage, and this saying is quite accurate.

Without this confident mindset, dealing with a female star would be very stressful.

”This is the latest revised script, could you take a look?”

As they ate, Sofia handed the script to Lu Yang.

They were in a private room, so there was no worry of privacy leaks.

The places Sofia chose mostly provided this feature, after all, even if past her prime, she was once Italy’s top goddess circle! Known as the Kiss of Europa!

Lu Yang took a sip of red wine, slightly frowned as he wasn’t accustomed to anything alcoholic, be it red wine, white wine, or beer: ”Hmm, this version clearly has more layers, several middle nodes lead viewers to seemingly correct conclusions, but there’s a twist afterwards. Your insight and script design skills are truly excellent!”

”If you hadn’t started making films early on, you might’ve become a best-selling female author.”

Sofia’s face turned red.

For some reason, these words from others would be considered flattering, but from Lu Yang, she found them very believable, making her overjoyed.

She touched her cheeks, realizing she was blushing.

This change wasn’t from alcohol.

Her drinking capacity was far more than just a sip or two.

”But the billionaire is exposed too early!” Lu Yang found a flaw in the script, ”And, have you thought about what role you could play in this script?”

”The murdered female mistress, maybe? Personally, I don’t think it’s a good role, especially since... news about you like that has surfaced before. If you play this role, it might be a chance for people to tarnish your reputation.”

The blunt guy might be late, but he won’t miss his cue!

Sofia’s expression became serious, feeling both touched and...inferior.

The touching part was that Lu Yang considered her a lot.

She previously expressed a wish for the movie to be self-written, directed, and acted.

Lu Yang listened and tried to help her.

The inferiority part was... news like that about her damaged a woman’s reputation. Even though nothing actually happened between her and that old guy, she heard... people from the East are very conservative about it, valuing reputation highly.

But Lu Yang was an Italian Chinese, originally from Mianyang, Sichuan, China... don’t ask how Sofia knew so well, she was willing to focus on Lu Yang.

So... would he... mind her past?

”Actually, I think you could try the female lead!” Lu Yang didn’t notice Sofia’s subtle thoughts, he commented on his interest in suspense scripts, highly engaged, ”Though the female lead is in her forties, being slightly younger doesn’t impact the narrative tension; people nowadays are looking younger.”

”And with aging makeup, you could use this opportunity to change your screen image, explore a new acting path for yourself. From the sexy goddess that every European man dreams of, to becoming a true talented actress!”

”And about the film’s name, I thought it was too straightforward before. How about calling it ’The Invisible Guest’...”

Lu Yang was passionately talking, completely unaware Sofia was deeply moved this time.

She put one hand on the table to support standing up.

Then leaned towards Lu Yang, stretched out with the other hand stroking Lu Yang’s cheek, interrupting him, ”What did you just say I was?”

”Uh?” Lu Yang was a bit puzzled.

But Sofia’s current posture was truly... dazzling.

Her evening dress was designed with a low neckline.

Now as she leaned, Lu Yang could see all the scenery.
