I AM the Football Star

Chapter 20: Chapter 8: An Ambitious Reporter and an Arrogant Player (Part 3)

In history, many famous people, whether praised or not, were often ruined by ”fools” on their own side.

Hans was relieved that Arnold betrayed him early.

If he had waited until he had deeper cooperation with Arnold, and then was betrayed after Arnold became a Serie B player, he might have been hit hard by the enemy, and that loss would have been severe.

As for now, he’s just an Italian D Division player, what loss could there be?

”So, what do you want to get from me? After all, you will help me teach Arnold a lesson, right?” Hans started treating Lu Yang as an equal in conversation.

An exchange of interests, putting both at ease.

”I want you to help me say something that I want more people to hear,” Lu Yang said. ”When a footballer is not strong enough, the media determines their image. Players who don’t have a good relationship with the media often have very bumpy careers.”

”Smart decision, you’re quite aware of the media’s power, even... very wary of it,” Hans said. ”So, what would you like me to help you say? Praise you like I praised Arnold, so you can get the attention of Serie B teams?”

But Lu Yang shook his head: ”If I want to go to Serie B, I’ll walk there myself. I hope you can bring people’s attention back to football on me and let me show them through victory after victory that football can be played like this!”

Hans squinted his eyes. He didn’t hurry to agree but carefully examined Lu Yang before saying, ”You’re very confident, no, I should say arrogant!”

Lu Yang said, ”It depends on where.”

Hans had a questioning look.

Lu Yang said, ”If you watch my matches, you’ll know that compared to my performance on the field, this is just a normal performance!”

Clap, clap, clap!

Hans applauded.

He admired such bold, careful, yet smart players. This is a player with a big heart, and players with big hearts can often create true miracles.

”Alright then, let’s see your next match. If you can really help me teach Arnold a lesson, I’ll be more than willing to be your channel for voicing out,” Hans stood up and shook hands with Lu Yang.

Both of them flashed bright smiles.

The next day, Lu Yang’s response appeared in the .

”Honestly, if I hadn’t looked at the schedule marks, I’d even think I was playing in Serie B. Come on, look at your registered team, you’re just an Italian D Division player.”

”Moreover, I don’t think a half-season Golden Boot counts as a Golden Boot. After all, the league hasn’t awarded him a trophy, has it? He’s just two goals ahead of our team’s Vedian, acting as if it’s twenty. At the end of the season, the Golden Boot trophy might not be his.”

”Finally, Arnold, right? For the next game, I’d suggest you dress warmly because frozen players feel very cold!”

This column immediately attracted the attention of many Italian football fans.

Stirring up trouble again?

A sixteen-year-old player who just entered the first team is already making claims to freeze the current league’s top scorer?

How arrogant!

Oh, it’s that Lu Yang with the powerful kicks?

Wow, so he scored a stunning world-class goal last match?

What, he also initiated that lightning goal?

Should we perhaps, after watching so much Serie A, also broaden our horizons by watching the lower-level Italian D League?

Soon, many people expressed interest in the upcoming match between San Remo and Bisceglie in the Italian D Division.

And such people are increasing.

After seeing the news, Arnold was seething with rage.

An ordinary Italian D Division defender dares to speak so arrogantly?

The hell with Italian D Division!

Your whole family plays in Italian D Division!

I’ll be moving to Serie B next season!

Similarly, after making his bold claims, Lu Yang quietly opened his own system.

In the last match, he achieved his first professional victory.

As a result, he received two random packs.

Now, it’s time to open the packs!

Meronegale, Turtle Sheep Halukai, it’s decided to be you, Pikachu!
