I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 521: Chapter 293: Nature’s Gift

For the giant crabs present, this is most likely the most terrifying sight they’ve ever seen in their lifetime.

Imagine you are an Ordinary Iron Claw Giant Crab.

Originally enjoying a leisurely summer life in the familiar reed marsh.

Your tribe is the most powerful group of monsters nearby.

One day, it almost felt like pie falling from the sky when food was delivered to your door.

Just when you thought this might be the most beautiful day in your crab life.

The next moment.

The sky darkened abruptly.

A terrifying pressure that made crab souls tremble, descended upon them like a tangible force.

You stiffly raised your eyes.

Seeing a red Giant Dragon, existing only in the ancestral fear and passed down through the bloodline, gazing at you with eyes as cold as looking at a dessert, with sulfur smoke lingering at its mouth from its recent fiery breath.

What a... a terrifying scene.

From paradise to hell, nothing less than this.

The Iron Claw Giant Crab tribe at Broken Shell Shallow Beach faces this kind of scene.

”Gurgle?!!”

”Crunch!!!”

After a brief dead silence, uncontrollable fear, spreading like a plague, followed and arrived at the scene.

The crab group exploded in panic instantly.

Not just one, not just two, three... almost all the ordinary giant crabs seemed to have gone mad.

Some crabs closer to the water instinctively wanted to flee into the familiar river.

But after taking a few steps, they saw the blazing firewall in front of them, emanating deadly heat and completely blocking their retreat.

The flames from the Red Dragon’s breath are not ordinary flames, so even growing in the water and wetlands, the reeds can still ignite and continue burning for a considerable time.

Only a few elite giant crabs can barely maintain calm, though just barely.

From their trembling bodies, one can still observe the shock brought by the dragon’s arrival.

”Roar——”

Hephaestus roared furiously.

It is a petty Dragon Beast.

Showing not a trace of pity for the frightened crabs below.

With a fierce flap of its wings.

The next moment, its body crashed down like a red meteor into the densest area of the crab group.

”Boom!!”

The earth trembled.

The crabs caught off guard were instantly crushed into crab meat paste.

Broken shells, white crab meat, and various unknown bodily fluids splattered everywhere.

The size of an Ordinary Iron Claw Giant Crab is massive for normal crabs, but for such a Red Dragon Beast, it’s no different than stepping on bugs.

”Iron Claw Giant Crab *1 has been slain.”

”Earned the title [Iron Claw Giant Crab Hunter], this title upgrades as kill count increases.”

”Current effect: Armor-Piercing. In battles against Iron Claw Giant Crabs and related advanced species, the destructive effect on target creatures’ shells is increased by 30%.”

Gauss glances at the changes on the panel.

This effect is quite good.

Although it might not make much difference to ordinary Iron Claw Giant Crabs, after all, his attack destructive power might already be somewhat excessive, but against elite individuals or even stronger ones among Iron Claw Giant Crabs, it can make quite a difference.

At least when breaking their shell that’s comparable to metal, it saves some effort.

With the unlocking of the Iron Claw Giant Crab Atlas, his Ordinary Monsters Atlas has accumulated to the 48th kind.

Retracting his attention from the panel, returning to the real world.

The Dragon Beast under him is still madly slaughtering Ordinary Iron Claw Giant Crabs.

Every part of its body transformed into a weapon, legs, wings, claws, sharp teeth.

And those crabs who rarely burst with resistance courage due to the life death crisis, when they waved their mighty pincers, they could not cause any damage.

The Dragon Beast’s skin is simply too tough.

Because of the firewall, the crab group can’t directly escape back into the river water, and in the middle of the battlefield, there’s a rampaging Dragon Beast in a state of fury, the crab group can only flee to the sides chaotically.

However, Albena, Aaliyah, Serdur, Ulfen, and Gauss had released clay creatures in advance, ready on both sides.

They constructed two ”walls of people” and a control net.

Every crab trying to exit the battlefield here is either controlled or directly split in half by Albena’s great axe or dies at the hands of the clay creatures.

The difficulty of this commission for Gauss’s team was never in the battle itself.

But in capturing the crab group as completely as possible.

Judging from the current situation, the effect clearly achieved the planned goals.

The crab group’s numbers are many, but are like turtles in a jar, trapped firmly in this localized battlefield.

Gauss atop the Dragon Beast overlooks the whole battlefield from above, nodding in satisfaction.

Only then does he focus on those few elite crabs full of vigilance at the back of the battlefield.

The dragon’s close-range pressure stripped them of control over the crab group.

After multiple ineffective commands, they abandoned these feeble tribesmen, observed the battlefield, and silently retreated towards the forest behind.

”Weren’t Iron Claw Giant Crabs supposed to be combative?”

Gauss catches their intent, shakes his head.

Ordinary crabs are forgivable due to the vast difference in power, but even these elite individuals and leaders are so weak.

Actually, they are just innately bullying the weak and fearing the strong.

After quickly slaughtering dozens of ordinary crabs around, the Dragon Beast Hephaestus grows bored, and focuses his gaze on those few significantly larger crabs.

Especially that leader.

The thought that it ate a portion of food meant for itself aroused some anger.
