I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 391: Chapter 243: Coral Bay, Sen City (Part 3)

It seemed the black-haired woman exuded an oppressive aura, causing the boy’s face to turn pale instantly. However, he still forced himself to say calmly, ”Sister... sister, these are just two stinky Sea Race members. Besides, they... they stole our shells first.”

Hearing his words, the surrounded siblings also lowered their heads.

”Really?” Ying remained non-committal.

A pair of black pupils stared closely at the boy.

The boy felt guilty under her gaze and dared not respond.

”So you’re lying, aren’t you?”

”....”

”Apologize to them.”

It seemed that the commotion attracted nearby adults, and among them, a few were probably the boy’s parents.

They originally came with a strong momentum but saw the appearance of the four, their adventurer outfits, and adventurer badges; their arrogance quickly dissipated, and they cautiously approached the four of them.

”Dear Adventurers, our child was just playing around with them, it’s nothing serious when kids are playing together.” The child’s parents pulled their child back, trying to drag him behind them.

Ying watched the scene expressionlessly.

Gauss spoke up too, sighing inwardly.

Children are reflections of their parents.

”You care about your child, but aren’t they also the children their parents care for? If they did something wrong, they must apologize.”

Perhaps Gauss’s golden eyes carried enough momentum; the parents hesitated for a moment before finally pulling their children to bow and apologize.

Then they looked up cautiously at Gauss, quickly pulling their children and heading home.

Gauss walked over and helped the siblings up.

Meanwhile, he used Magic Tricks to simply clean the dirt off their bodies.

”Thank you, big brother.”

”Where do you live? We’ll take you home.”

Although the aura of Gauss and his companions wasn’t simple, the scene just now made the two children lower their guard against them.

After learning the location of their home, Gauss took a child in each hand and walked towards their house.

Finding the Adventurer’s Guild is not urgent at this moment.

After walking for a while, Gauss arrived at a small market selling fish, where he also saw the father of the two children.

He also had some Sea Race blood, being a vendor selling sea fish.

Upon learning that Gauss and others helped his bullied children, the honest middle-aged man was at a loss, continually expressing gratitude. He even picked up a few of the freshest fish from the stall, saying he wanted to gift them to several of them.

Gauss and his companions naturally didn’t take them.

They soon left the market.

Gauss’s gaze lingered on Ying for a moment.

It felt like after helping others, her mood improved a bit, and she seemed slightly more relaxed.

Is her sense of justice really that strong?

Speaking of which, he also saw her helping others on the street last time.

Just now, she saw the situation here from afar, told Gauss, and hurried over.

”Thank you, Captain. Sorry to have wasted your time,” Ying said apologetically in a small voice.

”It’s nothing, even if you weren’t here, I’d have stepped in to help after seeing it.” Gauss waved his hand.

Actually, Ying had told them to go ahead and find the Adventurer’s Guild first, and she’d catch up soon.

Gauss just wanted to follow along.

But thinking about those boys, the boy’s parents, Gauss pondered in his heart.

Though it happens among children, in reality, it’s not just simple child’s play.

Is this situation really okay?

Gauss shook his head.

On the first day in Sen City, despite its beautiful scenery, it vaguely made him aware of the city’s complexity.

After asking for directions from passersby, the group continued towards the Adventurer’s Guild.

”Stop.”

With a tug on the reins, the team stopped in front of a pure white tower-like building.

If not for the familiar sword-shield-staff emblem hanging at the entrance, Gauss would almost not recognize it as the Adventurer’s Guild base.
