Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 946: Chapter 751: Showing the Professor the World (2)

This matter was too incredible for her, and she found it hard to accept in a short time.

A thousand years ago, Rowena Ravenclaw returned to Hogwarts through her diadem and even took the initiative to help a student with tutoring.

Every piece of information Kael revealed was challenging her understanding of over sixty years and was an immense test of her sanity.

Professor McGonagall was eager to hear another person’s opinion, and Dumbledore was the best candidate... Perhaps he knew something.

Unfortunately, the Headmaster’s Office was empty; Dumbledore was still outside engaging in a battle of wits and courage with Voldemort.

Professor McGonagall instinctively wanted to write him a letter but hesitated and put away the parchment she had already unfolded.

Professor McGonagall was well aware of how dangerous dealing with Voldemort was and didn’t want to disturb Dumbledore over something unconfirmed.

It’s just dinner, isn’t it? She can wait.

After leaving the Headmaster’s Office, Professor McGonagall didn’t return to her office. She certainly wasn’t in the mood to grade papers now and could only find another place to pass the time.

Professor McGonagall thought for a moment and then headed straight to the greenhouse in the yard.

...

And so, time quickly moved to the afternoon.

Around three o’clock, a door suddenly appeared in a corridor on the eighth floor of the castle.

This strange occurrence startled a passing third-year Gryffindor student, who instinctively ran away.

But when he returned ten minutes later with his classmates, intending to investigate, the door had magically vanished.

”I knew you were lying, Dennis,” one of them shouted. ”I’ve been through this corridor countless times; how could there be a hidden door I don’t know about?”

”No, I’m not,” Dennis Creevey said anxiously, gesturing against the wall.

”It was right here; I saw it with my own eyes. There was even a handle on the door.”

”Come on.” Another person said, ”You’re just trying to attract Harry Potter’s attention with this...

”Well, you succeeded; Potter’s here.”

As he spoke, Harry came running over, panting heavily from the distance.

But it was no use; he still couldn’t open the Room of Requirement’s door.

...

Meanwhile, by the Black Lake, Conna returned the Raven Door Ring to Kael.

”Why did you come out so quickly?” Kael asked.

”I couldn’t understand,” Conna sighed and said truthfully, ”It felt like listening to a more complex Ancient Runes class; I could understand every word the professors said, but put together, it made no sense.

”By the way, Cho couldn’t understand either. She said her head felt a bit swollen, and she went back to the common room first.”

”Alright,” Kael said, casually taking the Raven Door Ring.

That’s why he said he didn’t have the key.

Before he went to ask Professor McGonagall for leave, Kael had already given the key to Conna, allowing her to enter the Room of Requirement.

Conna then suggested taking Cho along.

Kael didn’t go with them because he had to request leave, but he specifically repeated Rowena Ravenclaw’s words to Conna, warning her not to force herself to listen to avoid contradicting what she learned before.

And this led to the current situation.

Conna hadn’t delved into studying Magic Texts; those courses she could barely understand, but with great difficulty.

As for Cho, it’s even less worth mentioning... Kael recalled the last time she had a headache was during her first Ancient Runes class.

But this also indirectly indicated that those courses indeed weren’t for everyone, as Cho’s grades were considered excellent even among the entire Ravenclaw.

”What about you?” Conna asked. ”Did Professor McGonagall allow you to take leave?”

”Of course.” Kael took out the application signed by Professor McGonagall. ”Starting next week, I’m allowed to skip classes until the end of the school year.”

Just as they were chatting, they saw Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout emerging from the greenhouse.

They hurriedly returned to the castle, seemingly something urgent was at hand.

Ever since Dumbledore washed his hands of everything, Professor McGonagall was in charge of all the school’s affairs, naturally making her very busy.

This also made Kael, who was going to call out to them, lower his hand.

Originally, he thought that since Conna had already come out from the Room of Requirement, it would be a good chance to take Professor McGonagall to take a look, but since she had urgent matters, it would be best to wait until the evening.

Kael sat back beside Conna, enjoying the cool breeze blowing from the Black Lake while listening to her recount the experiences in the Room of Requirement.

”I saw Helga Hufflepuff; she looked exactly like the portrait.”

”And, at that time, there were really few people, even fewer than what we have in a single year now.”

...

For some unknown reason, dinner was about half an hour earlier than usual today. By the time Kael received the news and rushed over from the field, dinner was already halfway through.

He and Conna hurried back to the house table, having just a few bites.

After the professors had finished eating, they began to leave the auditorium one by one,

when Kael went out, he immediately saw a row of professors standing by the door.

Among them were Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, and Professor Sprout; all the heads of houses, except for Snape, who hadn’t been seen since yesterday, had gathered.

There was also Bathilda Bagshot from the Ancient Runes class among them.
