Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 932: Chapter 746: Gryffindor’s Lucky Streak (3)

But that’s only how it appears.

”This isn’t an old cauldron...” Kael reached out and touched the cauldron, feeling a warmth at his fingertips, as if he were touching the wall next to a fireplace.

Mikel also touched it.

”Strange, is this cauldron newly used? That’s quite excessive.”

”No, it’s the shell of a Fire Crab.” Kael explained, ”This material has excellent heat conduction, capable of absorbing the flame’s temperature in the shortest time and evenly distributing it everywhere. It’s widely recognized in the Magic Realm that the best cauldrons are made from Fire Crab shells.”

With Kael’s explanation, everyone suddenly realized.

”Does that mean they aren’t stingy?”

”Quite the contrary.” Kael raised an eyebrow, ”This kind of cauldron isn’t cheap.”

”How much is it?” someone asked.

”I don’t know.” Kael shook his head, ”I’ve never bought one, and generally, most people don’t need this kind of thing; an ordinary cauldron is already sufficient.”

Upon hearing this from Kael, the others didn’t pay much attention, thinking that it’s just a cauldron. It’s not made of gold, how expensive could it be?

”I take back what I said earlier...”

Kael looked at Conna and laughed, ”Sending such a good thing via owl shows they truly don’t care about the ceremony.”

”You can use this to brew Magic Potions in the future; it’s much more effective than ordinary cauldrons.”

”I’d rather not.” Conna shook her head, ”I’m afraid once I get used to it, I won’t be able to use ordinary cauldrons anymore.”

”Besides, Professor Snape and Professor Slughorn are also members of The Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers, and they’re using ordinary cauldrons, aren’t they?”

”It’s different.” Kael shook his head and whispered, ”I can’t speak for others, but when Snape brews Phoenix Potions, he definitely uses a Fire Crab cauldron. You’ll surely use it too, better get used to it in advance.”

”Actually, I was planning to gift you a Fire Crab cauldron on your birthday, but now I must think of another gift.”

...

With the word spreading among Hufflepuff students, Conna’s becoming a formal member of The Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers quickly became the hottest topic in the Auditorium, even surpassing the upcoming Quidditch match.

But because so few people knew about The Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers, the topic quickly faded like a breeze, returning once again to Quidditch.

”You go first, I need to share this good news with Professor Snape; he’ll definitely be pleased.”

As everyone prepared to head to the Quidditch Pitch, Conna suddenly said.

”Ah, right...” Kael mumbled dismissively, feeling reluctant.

Helplessly, although everyone’s intention was the same, thinking that Snape would be pleased didn’t make him happy.

In this regard, Snape certainly felt the same.

But since Conna insisted on going, Kael could only head to the pitch with Ryan and Mikel, and reserved a spot for Conna in one of the front rows.

”Look.”

As the team members entered the field, Mikel suddenly pointed out, ”The Seeker for Slytherin isn’t here either.”

Kael also noticed.

Malfoy wasn’t in the lineup; in his position stood a stranger who looked young, probably a new recruit.

Malfoy not here for the match?

Kael instinctively pulled out the Marauder’s Map.

Since most people were at the pitch, the castle’s situation was easily visible.

Seeing Malfoy’s name in the library, surrounded by others, Kael felt relieved.

It’s good, if Malfoy wanted to do anything, he wouldn’t choose the crowded library. Plus, escaping Madam Pince’s notice wouldn’t be easy; she always detects everyone’s small actions immediately.

But what was Malfoy doing in the library, searching for something?

Kael hesitated momentarily, then chose to fold the Marauder’s Map and continue watching the match.

With Dumbledore and Snape overseeing things, it wasn’t necessary to join the buzz, better to just enjoy the event.

At this point, the captains were shaking hands on the field.

”Two key players are missing, including the crucial Seeker...”

Ryan commented sourly, ”Gryffindor’s luck is really good, huh.”
