Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 934: Chapter 747: 600 Years of Luck, Is That It?_2

But there’s nothing he can do about it, Kael saw it as it was. He could only walk over quickly, borrow a book randomly, and then leave.

After that, Kael went nowhere, spent the afternoon brewing Magic Potion with Conna in the Room of Requirement, and after dinner returned to the common room to play some games of Wizard Chess with Mikel.

Until nine o’clock at night.

As the battle between him and Mikel was getting intense, the Hufflepuff ghost Fat Friar suddenly emerged from beneath the chessboard.

Startled, Mikel instinctively shook the chess piece in his hand, and then his crucial queen was kicked to pieces by Kael’s knight.

”Hey, do you even know how to play!” The king turned around angrily, complaining to Mikel: ”Who’s dumb enough to walk under someone’s hooves? Even a troll would be better than you!”

”Is it my fault?” Mikel was also angry, ”You think I wanted to move there? I was scared, okay!”

”Sorry, kids.” The Fat Friar apologized, nodding slightly, then turned his head, ”Kael, the headmaster wants to see you.”

”Now?” Kael glanced at the pitch-black sky outside.

”That’s what the headmaster said, they are waiting for you.”

”Alright.”

Reluctantly, Kael had to stand up, and as he reached the door, he suddenly thought of something and turned around, ”Conna, could you take over this game for me?”

”Sure.” Conna nodded.

But just as she stood up, Mikel’s expression suddenly changed, ”Ryan, I remember we haven’t finished our Charm Class assignment, it’s due tomorrow, we need to complete it quickly.”

Without waiting for Ryan to react, he dashed back to the dormitory.

It’s not that he’s afraid of losing; it’s mainly because Conna is just too slow at chess.

Mikel, having suffered once, knew too well, even if he made a mistake and missed an important piece in this game, it would probably take more than half an hour to finish.

Instead of suffering for another half hour, Mikel would rather choose to do his homework.

Luckily, Conna didn’t know what he was thinking; seeing Mikel leave, she just continued to sit down and read her book.

...

Meanwhile, Kael left the common room and made his way to the eighth floor.

In the Headmaster’s Office, apart from Dumbledore, Harry was also there.

A familiar Pensieve lay on the table in front of the two, its silvery memories flowing gently like fish.

It seemed they had just watched another memory.

”Professor, is there something you need from me?” Kael, out of habit, stroked the feathers on Fawkes’ neck at the entrance.

But strangely, no one spoke for quite a while.

Kael instinctively looked up, suddenly noticing Dumbledore staring at him with a peculiar expression, a mix of three parts shock, seven parts disbelief, and nine hundred and ninety parts suspicion.

”What’s wrong?” Kael asked again.

”I heard from Harry that you gave Slughorn a goblet of aged Honey Wine?” Dumbledore’s voice trembled slightly, seemingly holding back something.

”Ah, yes, I did.” Kael nodded. ”Professor, do you also like Honey Wine?”

”If possible... I’d like to try it too.” Dumbledore paused before saying casually, ”As I got older, I seldom drink strong liquor anymore, Honey Wine fits well.”

”Alright.” Kael once again took out the golden goblet, gently swirling it.

Soon, a faint sweet fragrance of aged Honey Wine filled the Headmaster’s Office.

Yet among those present, nobody glanced at the cup, including the portraits, everyone fixated intensely on the golden goblet.

”Armando, is this it...” a witch couldn’t help but ask,

”Honestly, I’ve never seen the real one.” Armando Dippet said, ”But judging by its appearance, it should be correct.”

”Kael...” At this moment, Dumbledore suddenly asked: ”This goblet is?”

”Oh, the Golden Cup of Hufflepuff.” Kael said calmly, ”Is something wrong?”

”Did you actually ask if something’s wrong?” Phineas’s voice came from above, somehow all the headmasters squeezed into a portrait closest to the table.

He shrieked, ”That’s Hufflepuff’s Golden Cup!”

”Calm down, Phineas... calm down.” Dumbledore waved his hand, signaling him to quiet down.

”Can I take a look at this?” he asked.

”No problem.” Kael generously pushed the goblet forward.

Dumbledore casually poured the Honey Wine into the teapot beside him, then picked up the goblet for a closer look, almost pressing his crooked nose against it.

”Professor, is this really Hufflepuff’s Golden Cup?” Harry asked quietly.

”I think it is!” Dumbledore replied, his voice carrying a hint of bewilderment.

”But...” Harry was puzzled, ”In the memory we just watched, wasn’t this Golden Cup already tricked away by Voldemort? From Hepzibah Smit.”

They had just watched a memory about the Golden Cup, or rather Voldemort’s early days working.

Using his convenience while working at Borgin and Burkes, he learned that Hepzibah Smit had the Golden Cup, and with sweet-talk, he tricked her into handing it over.

At the time, Harry found that golden goblet oddly familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere, and soon realized it was from yesterday in the Hospital Wing.

The goblet Kael used for pouring Honey Wine was identical to the one in the memory.

However, at first, he didn’t think much of it, just muttering instinctively that such goblets were quite common, Kael had one just like it, and under Dumbledore’s questioning, he recounted the scene from that time.
