Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 891: Chapter 732: A Blessing in Disguise? The Vanishing Cabinet Discovered by Malfoy_3

”Here, take it back.” He casually tossed the wand aside and disappeared around the corner.

”I’m definitely going to tell Professor Snape... have him expel you from school!” Malfoy threatened from behind, but received no response.

It was obvious that Peeves had already run far away.

Malfoy cursed a bit more, searching the ground back and forth, and soon found his wand at the entrance of a storage room at the end of the corridor.

For some unknown reason, this storage room wasn’t locked, with the door just slightly ajar. When Malfoy picked up the wand, he lightly touched the door, and it creaked open.

Initially, Malfoy didn’t pay any attention, but as he stood up to wipe his wand, he suddenly noticed a cabinet inside the storage room.

The cabinet was placed right at the entrance, visible at a glance.

Malfoy suddenly became tense and eagerly pushed the door open.

Now he could see more clearly, it was a cabinet about the height of a person, with golden patterns on the surface.

A rush of great joy filled Malfoy’s heart... The thing he had been searching for several days was unexpectedly right here!

”Draco!”

Just then, Crabbe and Goyle came running up, panting heavily.

”Where’s that... damn... ghost...”

”Never mind about the ghost,” Malfoy said. ”You two, take this cabinet away.”

Crabbe and Goyle looked in the direction Malfoy pointed, faces full of confusion.

”Draco... have you gone mad?” Goyle whispered, ”It’s just a broken cabinet. If you want one, can’t you just buy a new one?”

”What do you know, this is a treasure,” Malfoy said.

”A treasure?” Crabbe frowned, pointing at a broken cabinet as a treasure; it seemed Malfoy truly had gone mad.

”You pair of idiots, just do as I say.” Malfoy had no patience to explain further, as he reached out to gently caress the golden patterns on the cabinet.

This was definitely the Vanishing Cabinet he remembered, there was no mistake.

It should have been when he was in first year; he got Hogwarts’ map and found it interesting, so one weekend he wandered around the castle and accidentally ended up in a storage room. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

Because it was too dark inside and he couldn’t see the way, he even bumped his head against this cabinet, breaking his forehead.

Back then, he worried for a long time, afraid he’d end up with a scar like Potter, so he remembered it clearly.

But at the time he just thought it was an ordinary cabinet, until not long ago when he saw another identical one with golden patterns at Borgin and Burkes, he realized the one he had bumped into was a Vanishing Cabinet.

Moreover, those two cabinets were very likely a pair.

But when Malfoy eagerly came to school to look, he found the cabinet had suddenly disappeared.

He searched for a long time, thinking someone had taken it, unaware that it was actually here. Now thinking about it, he probably just remembered the location wrong.

After all, it had been five years ago, it’s normal for the memory to be a bit fuzzy.

Malfoy didn’t dwell on it much, and immediately instructed Crabbe and Goyle to carry the cabinet away.

”Handle it gently,” he said with a serious face. ”This cabinet is very important, it’s related to... that person... if it’s damaged, you’ll both be in trouble!”

Crabbe and Goyle were a bit unhappy, but seeing Malfoy bring up the Dark Lord, they didn’t dare argue and just lowered their heads, huffing and puffing as they carried the cabinet out of the storage room.

Malfoy looked in the direction where Peeves disappeared, suddenly bursting into laughter.

”Draco, why are you laughing?” Crabbe asked in confusion.

”I’m laughing at Peeves,” Malfoy said, ”he thought he played a trick on me, but in reality, he did me a big favor. As long as my guess is right, that person can easily enter Hogwarts.”

With that, Malfoy suddenly became excited, ”By then, I’ll be the biggest hero, and I’ll definitely kill Peeves!”

Accomplishing this with just a broken cabinet to let that person into Hogwarts?

And to kill a ghost?

Crabbe and Goyle both looked at Malfoy, who reeked of vinegar and a foul smell, then glanced at each other.

They saw the same thought in each other’s eyes...

Malfoy really had gone mad, starting to speak nonsense.
