Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 864: Chapter 723: The Closed Floo Network_3

Of course, the premise is not to get caught by him during this time.

Kael went downstairs and made his way to the Hufflepuff Common Room.

Conna was there too.

”Weren’t you going to the Ministry of Magic?” she asked in surprise as Kael walked in.

”The school’s Floo Network has been closed, I couldn’t get out.” Kael briefly explained what had happened.

”And you? Weren’t you in detention?”

”I am in detention.” Conna said with a serious face, ”Professor Snape made me finish reading this book.”

She picked up the ”Powerful Potion” on the table, ”I asked if I could come back to read it, and he agreed.”

”Uh... okay...” Kael smacked his lips.

Sure enough, Snape’s detention is no different from going home for Conna. Who else can make requests during detention?

”I remember you finished reading ’Powerful Potion’ two years ago.” Kael sat down on an armchair next to her, ”Why read it again.”

”I only read half of it back then.” Conna said. ”Professor Snape thought I wasn’t suitable to study some of the potions in the later Chapters, so he took it away.”

She opened to the page she was reading and pushed it to Kael.

A twisted human figure was drawn on it, with severely distorted body proportions.

Giant Potion... can make an ordinary person as big as a giant, but it also causes immense pain, as if someone is being forcefully inflated.

In addition, there are Blood Boiling Potion, Madness Potion...

Simply put, it’s Dark Magic in the form of potions... not very pleasant, but some unique herb combinations are essential knowledge for potion studies.

That’s also the main reason ”Powerful Potion” is placed in the Restricted Area, and as for Polyjuice Potion... that’s just the most insignificant part of the content.

The two spent their time in the common room.

By the next day, it was the first weekend of October, also the long-awaited Hogsmeade visit day.

Because of the increasingly strict protection measures around the school, they thought they wouldn’t be able to go to Hogsmeade, but after seeing the notice, everyone was very happy.

Even though they knew it was dangerous lately, no one wanted to stay in the castle all the time.

The professors seemed to think it would be nice for everyone to go out and relax a bit, hence the Hogsmeade visit was arranged.

In the morning, a strong wind suddenly whipped up outside, accompanied by a decent amount of rain, but it did not dampen anyone’s enthusiasm.

At breakfast, everyone seemed very excited. Mikel and Ryan were discussing what they planned to buy in Hogsmeade, and they made a long list that included almost every shop.

A sound of arguing came from the entrance, and by the voices alone, it was obviously Harry and his friends.

”Hermione, haven’t we tried it already? The notes are perfectly fine.” The familiar trio walked into the auditorium.

Harry was exclaiming excitedly, ”I never thought I’d ever score points in Potion Class, it’s incredible.”

”But that’s not your skill!” Hermione said stiffly.

”There’s still a part of it that is!” Harry retorted. ”Although I looked at the notes Kael gave me, I completed the process myself; isn’t everyone following the book in the first place?”

”It’s not the same!” Hermione insisted.

”What’s different?” Ron said indifferently, his face still alight with something joyous he’d just experienced.

”I get it, Hermione, you must be jealous that our Potion grades surpassed yours...”

”It has nothing to do with that.” Hermione said, her cheeks turning red. ”I just think you shouldn’t cut corners.”

”But our potions came out perfectly, didn’t they?” Ron said, ”Even Slughorn couldn’t find fault with them. If the result is the same, isn’t it better if the process is simpler?”

The three argued noisily, unable to convince each other, oblivious to the fact they had become the center of attention.

”What notes did you lend them?” Conna asked curiously.

”Just some little tricks taught by Professor Snape.” Kael shrugged. ”I guess during Potion Class, none of them noticed that the process Professor Snape wrote on the board was a bit different from the book.”

It’s easy to understand, Hermione would definitely prioritize the textbook.

As for Harry and Ron... they hardly dared to raise their heads in Snape’s Potion Class, let alone compare the textbook with the blackboard content.
