Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Su Changxing made the zombie horde stop, turning back the way they came, thinking that they had already obtained enough spoils this time and there was no need to advance further. It was not too late to decide after fully digesting the remaining spoils.

Dusk fell on the bodies in the ruins, silent and serene. Tens of thousands of zombies moved quietly across the ruins, with the occasional clumsy one tumbling into the pits, causing a clatter.

It looked somewhat comical.

Yet such silence was terrifying.

The common knowledge of this world was that zombies would howl and move involuntarily, making them easy to detect.

Once a zombie neither howled nor moved aimlessly, it became difficult to detect. And such a large group advancing silently became extraordinarily eerie, as if the world lost the sound it was supposed to have.

”What is that!”

The Executor of the Expedition Corps, Serra, saw the scene from afar, the absurd sight on the ruins. Silver-white hair peeked out from wrapped white bandages, and one could tell from the graceful figure and perfect facial features that she must be a very beautiful woman.

Tens of thousands of zombies wandering silently on the ruins, no, not wandering, but marching like an army, with a common, clear goal.

There were zombies in every place she had been to, but she’d never seen such a situation.

Beside her, an expedition team member with a white backpack and a cane thought for a moment and said: ”I’ve heard that some high-tier zombies can control ordinary zombies, forming an undead tide.”

Sena took a notebook from her backpack and quickly wrote something with a black ink pen, then said softly:

”There are indeed high-tier zombies capable of marshaling an undead tide, but not to this extent. It’s as if every zombie has its own consciousness, allowing them to advance like an army.”

”This is the first time we’ve seen such a situation, so let’s record it, it might be a phenomenon unique to the borderlands.”

The expedition team member with the white backpack asked doubtfully: ”If so, why haven’t we seen it before?”

Sena shook her head lightly and said: ”Not sure, the borderlands often undergo major changes, so it’s understandable to see unexpected situations arise.”

”Take people to follow them and observe, to see whether a high-tier zombie is controlling them, or if these zombies are gathering on their own. Record the situation in detail; this could be very important intelligence.”

”Alright, no problem!” The expedition member with the white backpack nodded earnestly, waving his hand to signal a few people to go with him.

Sena reminded: ”Ensure safety first, retreat at the first sign of major danger!”

”No problem!”

The borderlands were still an unknown place to them, even after half a century.

Over the half-century, they had expended considerable manpower and resources continually exploring the borderlands, yet much information remained blurry. Consecutive explorations often yielded completely different results, with no logical connection at all.

Here.

A large number of strange, foreign humans appeared. They looked much like them in appearance, yet they felt no fear of the borderlands’ radiation, while they had to wrap themselves in radiation bandages just to barely operate there and endure the suffering caused by radiation every moment—not just physically, but also spiritually.

Throughout a century, they engaged in war with these foreign humans.

Though most times they held the upper hand, the foreign humans, like zombies, were undying, endlessly emerging in large numbers. More crucially, their growth was extremely rapid, often inexplicably producing one or two extraordinarily powerful Extraordinary beings that changed the course of the war.

Light Era, year 812.

They encountered a powerful Extraordinary being from the foreign humans who nearly single-handedly overturned their entire civilization. When they were on their last legs, that powerful existence vanished from this world without a trace, never appearing again.

Afterwards, they recuperated, holding firm to one spot and stopped expanding outward until the Apocalypse Giant Elephant appeared, and they embarked on a new journey.

The brilliance of civilization never extinguishes, only burns brighter!

[Energy Observation: Capable of detecting the faint energy fluctuations emitted by biological activity, and, to a certain extent, assessing the target’s strength.

Can detect zombies and similar creatures over a larger range and mark them.]

After advancing to Tier Eight, Su Changxing’s observation ability further enhanced, with more detailed information acquired.

Most Extraordinary creatures do not hide their energy fluctuations, making it easy for them to be exposed under ”Energy Observation,”

For instance, the few new humans who followed not far behind, their pink silhouettes stood out like fireflies in the dark night; even if he didn’t want to, he had to pay attention.

”What do they intend to do?”

Su Changxing was somewhat puzzled by these new humans’ intentions; they seemed only to be observing from afar.

This compelled him to consider the possibility of eliminating them, after all, with a few mosquitoes buzzing behind, no one would feel comfortable.

Moreover, he now existed as a zombie, absolutely opposed to both humans and new humans.
